They definitely mean what they say. The one thing Trump is honest about is what he wants to do. Last time there were lots of "normal" Republicans who talked him out of doing certain things, or ignored his orders. Those people won't be there if he wins again.

@jimboswell4818 The aid was to supply Ukraine with the missiles and shells to hold the frontlines which came perilous close to a collapse, territory was lost along with many precious brave and some of Ukrainians finest defenders,Putin went on a big counter offensive to take advantage and were firing ten shells to Ukraines one, over those six months and it was MAGA who weren't even in government causing the problem, that doesn't inspire confidence if Trump does get in the Whitehouse, and yes the restrictions aren't good but this can change and already after Kharkhiv offensive there was some lifting on restrictions but more needs to follow.

@@piseag458 Quickest way to aid Ukraine is through the US border. Closed and controlled like HR 2 passed by congress, still sitting in the senate today. Should have happened with the passage of aid. If trump makes it back to White House it will be through the border. Could have been so much easier.

So confusing to see certain Americans totally disregard the need for a president to have a reasonable level of education and knowledge to merit them to execute their complex work.

@@bumble-g2j I'm from Spain but lived in Arizona for a couple of years. I remember so so many people there mocked me or made fun of me simply because of reading a book alone in a cafe. They find that pretentious. Seeing a guy reading a book stirs their complexes and irrational hate. And I bet all those people are now followers of Trump. It is so symptomatic of so many crazy and dangerous things. You could write hundreds of essays about the terrible things that hide behind that phenomena. The right wing has convinced people that they support the working class, and that intellectuals (or simply a guy who reads a book in a cafe) are pretentious left wing people who look down on the working class. The right wing has twisted the roles playing with frustrations and personal "complexes" of people, especially of the working class.

I visited my ex military mates in The USA several times and although they knew about things beyond the American boarders, I found general populations overall lack of knowledge about the rest of the world and it's history, plus the rather staggering warped views held about America, it's history and its place in the world, to be rather mind blowing. When Australian millionaire, Mr. Pratt was in America to propose the building of a large plant to recycle paper products into quality cardboard in a state with unemployment problems, a plant that was to be built by American workers and would employ American workers, a total win win for those unemployed Americans. President Trump was not particularly interested and was even quite dismissive of Mr. Pratt and Australia and had to be told about the relationship between Australia and America, he had no idea of our shared history and the military, political and moral support that Australians have provided to America especially since the Battle of The Coral Sea. Australian's are very grateful for that US intervention and although the US needed Australia as a launching point for their eventual victory over the Japanese Empire, we gave a lot of help in clearing the interior of the islands after America had destroyed the main Japanese infrastructure and was moving on to the next island, but it was like he didnt know we existed, even though he must have okayed the TV show spin off in Australia of his show, "The Apprentice," but that was it. One of his aides filled in the blanks about our relationship, and President Trump began gushing with praise for Mr. Pratt and Australia. However, given that President Trump appears set to abandon NATO, an organisation that America devised and organised, and from which they have been very well rewarded, Down Under there is concern over ANZUS and our reliance on The United States of America for help if we get into some form of military conflict with a growing Superpower that we may have trouble dealing with byourselves.

Jonathan is so beautifully articulate...I wish he'd present more than one side of the conflict - to bring peace to Ukraine.
Continuing deliberately-unwinnable war empowers hardliners who may pillage more of Ukraine, while Putin in his legalistic rational respectfulness (not the fictionalized Putler narrative for kids!) can be negotiated to a deal most favourable to Ukraine (since his #1 concern is the historical pattern of NATO aggression&manipulation). Wellbeing of Ukrainians, lives, land and livelihoods matter - far more than NATO / MIC gains. 🇺🇦

Jason Miller, Trump's chief spokesperson, said on TV a week or so ago that the former President's position on 'ending the war' doesn't mean Ukrainian surrender. The negotiating position sounds more like Don Corleone: An offer Putin can't refuse. Leave Ukraine now, or we will turn over the entire U.S. (non-nuclear) arsenal to Ukraine on inauguration day. Sounds like a winner to me. Remember, this is a deal maker. He likes to negotiate from absolute strength. Many, if not all, of the quotes read across the pond are either totally false or out of context, delivered by partisans in the leftist US press. You have been lied to.
