  • At the age of six, Kanishka Sharma happened to watch the movie, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. He did not know then that this would be the first source of inspiration for what is today, his life's passion. Shifu Kanishka, as he is known today, is the first Indian to have trained at the famed Shaolin Temple Secular Discipline Union in China. He is the first Indian to have brought the deadly combat system of Pekiti Tirsia Kali to India and also the first Indian to introduce Kali Tactical Combat System to the Law Enforcement, Military and Special Forces. Having a background in Martial Arts for more than 25 yrs, in combat systems like Shaolin Wu gong, Kungfu Toa, Muay Chaiya, Muay Thai , Sanshou and Jeet Kune Do-Inosanto Kali, Shifu Kanishka Sharma is highly specialized in Commando Close Quarter Combat which teaches a practitioner to knock out opponent in 3 seconds. He is specialized in Extreme Close-Quarter knife tactics, Weapon Retention and Disengagement tactics, Bayonet tactics and Safety Baton Tactics and Strategy for Law Enforcement Units. Shifu Kanishka Sharma's remarkable journey began when he decided to give up his corporate job in favour of martial arts which was his passion and what his heart yearned for. Since his training at the Shaolin Temple that began in 2001, he has travelled across the world promoting the cause of the Shaolin Culture of Chan, Wu and Yi (Chan Buddhism, Martial Arts and Shaolin medicine).
    In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

    Martial arts as a way of life can do more good for you than you could imagine. Its not about being the best, ive trained for fifteen years and I wouldnt dream of ever actually fighting. Its about discipline, willpower, strength, patience, and a calm clear mind. Your body will improve, your reflexes will improve, your mentality will improve. Martial arts can make you a better person.

    he came to train in my school and on the first day he said that when this one-week session ends, you will come to me, shake my hand and say Thank you Shifu.
    I remember on the last day when he was leaving after giving the speech, I ran to him, shake his hand, and said Thankyou Shifu. He had a strong grip, something about it made me respect him more, I respect him so much.
    I want to meet him again
    I strongly recommend. Go get a session, be a stronger and calmer person.

    Shīfu is a very common and polite Chinese term to call the skilled workers from working class , such as taxi-drivers, shop assistant, construction workers, repairmen, dustmen, doormen, cook, barbers, elderly workers, bakers, or anyone (elder people most of time) in the street when you want to ask for help. Shifu Kanishka hmm

    How to overcome, adrenaline shiver while facing an attacker or the opponent. Make a video on mindset and how to win the fight before it starts, mind is everything, tricks and techniques comes later. Person with calm and focused mind can come out unharmed from any situation.

      You ever seen professional combat sport matches where people look like they've literally slipped on a banana peel in a cartoon? Except both opponents were trying their very hardest? Sure, the guy in the video is a "willing opponent," but it doesn't mean the principles of what this guy's saying aren't applicable or accurate/real.

  • @JEET_HUM_SAB_KEE
    @JEET_HUM_SAB_KEE 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think he is showing the principle of reflection ( of light ) that we studied in physics. Simultaneous block & attack, changing direction to punches, attacking soft points(e.g. throat, eyes, groins etc), attacking with a lose hand.Reply friends did I miss something.

    The problem with Wing Chun is it is not very realistic because people don't leave their hand out after they throw and they throw in combinations slipping and moving side to side if they are trained well. In demonstrations and movies it looks great. Even Bruce Lee threw out much of all of his Wing Chun in his Martial Art in the last few years of his life. You look at video's and Wing Chun people always get beat up. But I'm sure theres a lot of usual things in it. My two cents.

    Nothing against martial arts teacher who wants to make a living little money or big it doesnt matter sometimes you need to survive and always chase your dreams and passion. Ofcourse nowadays there is just a lot of branding and advertising about martial arts making people believe that there system is the best because they have won competitions and have good publicity a lot of people dont know what they want when they learn martial arts thats why its very important to know the basic systems tradional martial arts, modern martial arts, self defense, combat. Different system have different principles and different approach thats why people nowadays look down upon traditional martial arts as a system that is useless in combat because it takes time and years to fully understand be good at it, Why? because martial arts approach is yourself to develop your mind and body and in some cases spiritual principles then it becomes your way of life. In combat they go directly straight to the point survive and effeciency the goal is to live and stop the threat this is mostly taught in military so they cant afford to spend years learning the other principles of martial arts they have a mission to do and they need to accomplish it.
