  • Well, it came down to this inspection.
We spent some extensive time looking her over, researching and reading logbooks, AD’s, etc. to almost making a decision. We found 5 MAJOR issues with the Bonanza and these squawks will make or break the decision to part it out or rebuild it.
    What would YOU DO?

If you are wanting votes I would say rebuild her. The old Beech Banjo is a beautiful aircraft. Worked on one many moons ago, about 30 yrs ago iirc. and thenowner thought it was well worth the major work needed. (Serious corrosion in the rear fuselage and stbd wing) that one is still flying.
Great vid. Please let us know what happened to it.

If you were an aircraft mechanic and could do a lot of it yourself it might be a project, in the end you probably would be working a minimum wage when the final calculation was done. As the price starts to approach that of new or almost new aircraft it isn't worth it. It has low hours but all you have is the body, all the moving parts and wings have decayed to the point of replacement.

If you decide it’s too much for you you’re a call that company that does turbo prop conversions and see if they’d be interested in buying the plane

Unrelated question, just found out about you guys....
I am building an "immersive" cockpit to remotely fly drones.
I've built a couple simpits and have used aircraft guages with computer flight simulators.
This is "sim"ular (sorry) but will be used to fly the drone and the telemetry will drive the gauges.
Soooo, what I need are BROKEN instruments....
I end up gutting most of them anyway.
I'm building a technology demonstrator to use during Amber alerts.
I want to apply for a waiver that will allow me to fly autonomous unmanned aircraft up and down the I-5 corridor looking for "blue hondas" or whatever the alert says is the subject vehicle.
The last system I modelled for them used a couple PC's and they just thought it was a toy plane flown with game controller.
This will be a trailerable cockpit with working flight instruments...
Hopefully they will see it's not a toy.
So can you help me? Not looking for handouts, just hoping broken gauges are cheaper. Like by the pound?
5 gallon bucket ought to get me started......

What I meant since you got to do all that work to it with such low hours you got a put an engine in it and wings and everything look at turn it into a turbo prop Because the very items you’re having to rebuild will be rebuilt for the turbo prop

A 60s vintage Vtail with 90 K in it. Phew ! Sounds to me like you will have a lot more in it if you got 60K fwf, Don't forget your time to do the work too. I don't think you will make much on that one.

Which model 35 Bonanza is it?
    Are the flaps for sale?
I need both flaps for a straight 35 serial #D186 no corrosion.

Far, far too much "Farting around" at the start of your videos!
I HATE THAT! IT'S JUST A HUGE WASTE OF TIME!
Can you PLEASE just jump to the useful portion of your presentation?
Then, maybe, I'll start watching again.
