Glad I can continue to provide information to you and others. I expect the incoming 40-foot buses for MTA Bus to all be in service by late-Spring, early-Summer 2024.
I'm happy to provide the information for everyone here. Currently, the new 250 express bus order from Prevost is scheduled to start in April 2025, and will finish by August 2026. This order also includes an option for 131 more express buses. If the option order is picked up, then it would start in August 2026, and ending in March 2027. The base order will consist of 15 buses per month, and the optional order will consist of 16-17 buses per month. This order will replace all MCI D4500CLs and 2008 D4500CTs from MTA Bus, and will provide fleet expansion.
The 2013 MCI’s from QV and Charleston are still running and i hope they run longer given that they are still going strong with no issues but i’m really gonna miss the ones From MTA Bus.
@@Iconic_maya9 Queens Village is one of the best when it comes to the CTs. They took care of the CTs more than Charleston. I remember riding on 2278, and it was the best MCI I've ever ridden.
Im a Gun Hill operator, 1226 has been sitting in the same parking spot for like 4 months now and has a missing right front turn signal light. I haven't looked inside if the farebox is still there, though. I don't think there's any maintenance being done on it
I rode 9007 on the Q114 the ride was amazing but I still miss the og hybrid form basley park depot my suggestion to everyone is for those of you that live by a jfk or far Rockaway routes get your rides and pictures of the og hybrids while you can once they gone they gonna be nothing but a memory
Goodafternoon sir. And that was a awesome video from you. About the MTA/MTA Bus Fleet Stats. The MTA is going on on a full Blitz when it comes down MTA Bus in the delivery of the Nova LFS 4 Gens. MTA Bus only has gotten one of there XD-40 Next-Gens at Eastchester Depot. The Nova LFS are taking over Baisley Park 🏞 Depot and JFK Depots. LAG Depot didn't get any as of yet Because they had a Batch of XD-40 7400 from 2014 Thats Baisley Park and JFK Didn't get. But LAG had let Eastchester Depot hold some of them for Driver Training sir
Thank you! MTA Bus is definitely in high gear with the Conehead delivery. I heard 9355 recently went to Zerega. LaGuardia hasn't recieved their Coneheads yet since those are coming from a separate order
I’ve been fortunate enough to see and ride an XD40 with AESYS signs on the M100 and also the XE60’s on the M100/Bx1 and i seen one on the Bx9, but i wish i could catch an Manhattanville XD40 and XDE40 on a Bronx route ! It’s hard to catch those on KB routes. I also rode a LFS on the Q8, 9355 on the Bx23, and yesterday, 4965 on the M42. Felt like 2018 all over again when i used to fan them when they were numbered 0010-14. Now i’m gonna try and fan as many OG’s from JFK and LGA before they retire as well as NICE buses’s 3rd Gens, Gilligs, FP, Flatbush and Stengels NG’s .
I hope the MTA considers preserving a Next Gen Orión 7. I have a feeling that the MTA finds those Orions iconic due to the fact that they have been running much more than the Original Generation Orion 7’s. A lot of great things have happened with those buses especially that a few NYCT Bus Depots have received these buses again despite a conclusion to this era. I hope East New York takes good care of those Orions because I do know that they went to having zero Orions starting in March of 2023 until those buses officially made a comeback this past summer.
So the only brooklyn bus depot with LFSA is Flatbush depot. Would be better to atleast expand and loan lfsa to Ulmer for the B1. But i think there is reasons the depot cant do that right?
Orion 7 Old gens are retiring in November since more Cone-heads LFES coming into JFk depot and Rockaway depot as well make sure to catch them. Now it’s the time to do so when they break down they are gonna retired
The 2010 Novas are at retirement age, and a lot of them are getting worn out due to high mileage. Sadly there is no legitimate fleet to replace them yet
@@Techno-ov5ss those poor LFSA’s😢😢😢 my heart dropped once i saw 1212 at the ECH scrap yard and all i wanted to do is yank that bus outta there 😭, i’ve been fanning them every chance i get . I really love them

Including the option LFS's?
@@dodge1515As I have been saying over and over, the 173 Nova LFS' for MTA Bus is from a separate order. It is not classified as an Option Order.
@@BrIaNMeRcY1022 Oh word? All this time, I was thinking they were options. That clears things up nicely.

The option (if taken) might also replace the 2012-13 MCI D4500CTs as well.
9:12 Techno’s rage to East New York is priceless 😂
South Jamaica has really changed as the cone has become more common to see on Guy R. Brewer, Merrick and Sutphin Boulevard! Those buses rock!
I'm at Kingsbridge, hopefully we get more than just 8 XE40.
Keep in mind that this is just a test order. A much larger order will soon follow in 2025.
It is possibly they get 12 XE40

Thanks for the update! Hopefully that unit survives. It's a shame that the Bronx is losing so many 2010 artics so quickly, without proper replacements
