That's one of the best ps1 games in my opinion which unfortunately lost a battle of sequels and thus went forgotten. Would've be so cool if there had ever could been Medievil 3 with new plot etc. Not just remastered.
Love it! I was 8 years old when PS1 released. My older brother got his first real job that year and bought me a PlayStation for Christmas with the money he'd made. I was blown away that he did that. And I loved playing Crash and Oddworld! Still have that console he bought me to this day.
@@Sayakas_Digital_Attic definitely! Especially since I don’t have a lot of stuff from my childhood, so the fact that I still have it makes it even more special. I’ll never get rid of it.
I'm a little older so the first console that I remember playing at 6-7 years old is the SNES with Zelda: A Link to the Past, around 1996. Then I moved to N64 with Goldeneye and fell in love with FPS later moving on to Halo on the Xbox. I still play Zelda: A Link to the Past every year, it's my fav game of all time. New subscriber here I repair consoles also, I've been slacking and I have a lot to fix like recapping 2 N64, modding a SNES, and changing a couple of Gameboy game batteries. This channel motivates me to start repairing again!
Oh my god - Fur Fighters. You're the real one! 2000-2001 were the years I entered the gaming world consciously. In 2001 i bought my first video game magazine, with Fur Fighters demo. I love 2000-2001 because whenever you bought any similar magazine with demos, there was an issue with demos of Fur Fighters, Sheep, Tomb Raider 5, Sacrifice, Quake III Team Arena. Playing all of them, one by one, for the first time blew my mind.
Thank you for sharing your experiences! 👏👏 and I wil share my experiences 😎 My best generation is the PS1 🎮 because I was born and grew up with it since 1999, and its games are some of the greatest of all time. Here’s my top list from PS1 to PS5: 🌟 Silent Hill 😱 (PS1) Resident Evil 1-2-3 🧟♂ (PS1) - I can’t choose just one! Crash Bandicoot 3 🦊 (PS1) Metal Gear Solid 🐍 (PS1) Shadow of the Colossus 🗿 (PS2) ICO 🌄 (PS2) Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time 🏰 (PS2) Bully 🎓 (PS2) Little Big Planet 🌍 (PS3) The Last of Us 🧟♀ (PS3) Portal 2 🌀 (PS3) Ni no Kuni 🎩 (PS3) - (I have a funny story with this one 😅) Bloodborne 🩸 (PS4) The Witcher 3 🧙♂ (PS4) Nier: Automata 🤖 (PS4) Valiant Hearts 🕊 (PS4) Stray 🐱 (PS5) Cyberpunk 2077 🦾 (PS5) Sackboy 🧸 (PS5) Elden Ring 🗡 (PS5) Honor List: ASTRO BOT 🤖 (PS5) Horizon Zero Dawn 🏹 (PS4) Silent Hill 2 😱 (PS2) A Plague Tale: Innocence 🐀 (PS4) TMNT: Shredder's Revenge 🐢 (PS4) Doom Eternal 🔥 (PS4) Ghost of Tsushima 🏯 (PS4) Dreams 🌀 (PS4) Assassin's Creed 2 🗡 (PS3) The Evil Within 🧠 (PS3) Journey 🌄 (PS3) Rise to Honor 🥋 (PS2) God of War 1 🔱 (PS2) Detroit: Become Human 🤖 (PS4) Note: I want to play more games, including those mentioned, but I’m busy with university studies, and this is my last year before graduation! 🎓
I totally understand! I'm also struggling to find time to play because of my studies. It can be hard to balance everything, but we're almost there! Good luck with your final year! 🎓
Great list! Very unique choices, you can tell these games had a real impact on you growing up, which means so much more than just picking what's popular. Fur Fighters is one of my favourite hidden gems on the Dreamcast that I played growing up. I've always wondered about Child of Eden because I've seen it around at stores so many times throughout the years, but never have seen someone talk about it, so I thought it was just shovelware. Seeing you cover it made me want to check it out!
Fantastic video! You brought back memories of countless hours spent with my PS2. F Fighter is truly a forgotten gem! And about Unravel, you're spot on: relaxing and full of magic. Keep it up, love your passion! 🚀
great video, I love hearing about other people's early gaming experiences. fur fighters was such an obscure game as a kid, I knew about it but nobody I knew ever played it or owned it lol
You are something else. I personally loved Crash back then. My Fav's on PS1 was Spyro:YOTD, and Spyro 2 with MoneyBags, Crash Warped, CTR, and Crash Bash,. PS2 was the Sly Cooper Franchise, GTA: San Andreas, and Ty the Tasmanian tiger, and Ty 2: Bush Rescue. The games you mentioned I also like, but only Odd World game I ever played was Oddworld: Strangers Wrath and I LOVED it, but others hated it because it wasn't the same as the others. Also, wouldn't have guessed you from a different country than USA, your English is pretty good. Hope you keep play games and fixing old systems. I was amazed by the repair of PS1 and GameBoy's :D.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you think my English is good! 😊 Yes, Spyro and Crash are adorable! I found San Andreas fun on PS2, but I’ve never played Sly Cooper or Ty; I’ll have to check them out. And thanks for watching my repair videos! I really appreciate it. I’ll definitely keep playing and repairing old systems. Have you ever tried doing any repairs?
@@Sayakas_Digital_Attic personally i did on PS4 and it got me no where. Would love to know how though. It’s crazy watching from someone who can repair it. I honestly didn’t think u could fix game boy’s or PS1’s today lol
Actually blown away that you said Fur Fighters was your favorite game because that was mine. Nobody really knows that game it seems like so I was genuinely surprised.
i'm also born in 1995 and started gaming in 2000 but on a SNES. I was never a Playstation Guy but i like your videos and i hope your doing some content like this in the future again :)
Oddworld Abe's Odyssey is my favourite game of all time. Nice and very personal selection, I liked the variety and seeing games not commonly mentioned. Also Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm was one of the reasons I asked for a PS3 when I was a kid... I also need someone to try Unravel 2 with lol. A fun fact from Abe's Odysee is that the Spanish command "here boy!" to call the dogs (Slogs I believe they were called) when you're possessing a Slig used the Italian voice recording. I guess it was a mistake they made, and I didn't even realize that it was another language when I first played it, I thought it was just the sound the Sligs made to call them hahaha. Great channel, very entertaining! keep it up
When I was 13, I got a PlayStation for Christmas. I rented final fantasy vii from the movie store. I did a lot of grinding and was having a lot of fun. I remember losing a battle against Reno at the end of disc 1 and having to start over at the beginning because I didn’t have a memory card. 😂
You know your channel is good if the PixelGameSquad is commenting. Those guys are AWESOME! I was recommended this channel and i watched 4 videos back to back and liked and subscribed. Your production value has vastly improved in the past year. Your descriptions and narration editing and technical jargon is very good. Keep up the great work.
Great list. I feel it’s underrated but Syphon Filter 1, & 2 were some of my favorites on the ps1. Gran Turismo, Spyro the Dragon, & Tekken 3 also were up there for me.
Nice taste in PlayStation games! Back in the day I was really into the original Kingdom Hearts and other RPGs along with some fighting games too. PS2 is such an incredible system with such an immense deep library. By the way I liked your ending conclusion music, thumbnail and credits! It sounded entertaining 😎
i started with Nintendo in 1993 SNES: Super Metroid, Super Castlevania 4, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario World, Megaman X. N64: TLOZ Ocarina of Time+Majoras Mask/Jet Force Gemini/Banjo Kazooie/F-Zero X/Star Fox 64/Mischief Makers then in 1999. PS1: Legacy of Kain:Soul Reaver/Silent Hill/Metal Gear Solid/Parasite Eve series PS2: Shadow of the Colossus/Okami/Silent Hill 2-The Room/MGS3/Obscure/ICO/Fatal Frame PS3. The Last of Us 1/Uncharted/COD series/AC series PS4. Elden Ring/Sekiro and generally hack and slash games now i play in PC at times. imo the most influential videogame ever is Strider arcade from 1989.
FFXII was my fav PS2 game. It has a remaster called FFXII The Zodiac Age (The Zodiac Age was originally the Japanese variant of the game and offers some minor changes) for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, with the PC and Xbox One X offering a solid 60fps. Honorable mentions include Need For Speed Most Wanted: 2005, Persona 4, the Jak & Daxter trilogy, Goldeneye Everything or Nothing, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, 4 & Tony Hawk's Underground. Love the vids, keep up the great work!
Love you content! I think the PS2 and the Xbox 360 were the greatest consoles ever released. They have such a huge library and variety of Games, it's insane if you compare it to the current generation. So many great IPs were created back then.
man, when you said you were 6 during PS3 Naruto Ultimate ninja storm I felt so old... lol I was working my first job in college to get a PS3 :D great channel! keep up the good work!
My top 8, not in particular order: 1. Duke Nukem: Time to Kill 2. NBA Live 04 3. Contra: Legacy of War 4. Pro Evolution Soccer 2 5. Spyro the dragon 6. Pandemonium 2 7. Tekken 3 8. Worms
I loved hearing about your favorite games and your memories about them! I also played a lot of Abe's Odyssey (but on the PC). I'll never forget that "follow me" audio clip! 🤣
You certainly have eclectic tastes Sayaka. All good games in their own right. Personally I was more into horror/fantasy rpg's. We all have different tastes though, that's what makes life so interesting. Great video yet again Sayaka.
My favorite playstation games (ps2) 1. 007: Nightfire 2. TMNT 3. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time 4. Tekken 5 5. Lego Star Wars / Indiana Jones 6. Sonic R 7. Sly Raccoon 8. King Kong Was just emulating 007: Nightfire last week, such nostalgia. Only played Prince of Persia out of the games you listed, I should definitely try some of the other ones though, Tales of the Abyss looks really cool. Fur Fighters with the scale of characters and map really reminds me of "de_rats" in Counter-Strike 1.6 lol
Cool list! As someone who didn’t grow up with a PS2, this was interesting to see. For a long time I was exclusively a Nintendo and Sega guy but I’ve recently been checking out PS1 games and I enjoy them. Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is my favorite so far.
I also love Child of Eden. Its a spiritual successor to one of my other all time favorites Rez (Dreamcast / PS2 / PS4 / PSVR.) Tetsuya Mizuguchi is my favorite game creator. I also love Shadow of the Colossus.
Your game taste is super similar to mine, but i've never tried fur fighters and it feels like something i'd love, I also noticed the medievil shield in the background
Yes! I agree with a lot of your favorites. Prince of Persia, Crash, Ninja Storm, Tales. Great classics. I recommend trying Gravity Rush and/or Last Guardian if you have the time.
Nice selection mine is Ps1 games 1-star wars Jedi power battles 2-mortal kombat trilogy 3-silverload 4-final fantasy 8 Ps2 games 1-shadow of destiny 2-primal 3-socom 2 4-mgs2 5-devil may cry 3 PS4 games 1-star wars battlefront 2 2-wwz 3-Friday the 13th 4-devil may cry 5
I remember playing my PS1 back in the day. I was definitely in a phase of racing and wrestling games back and their were some good ones. Gran Tourismo, Off Road, WWF and WCW.
Wrath of cortex is such a good pick! That was the only crash game I had growing up, so it has a special place in my heart, and will always be my favorite, no matter what anyone says about it
I was surprised with your favourites to be honest! Child of Eden seems really cool, did you ever play ReZ -- it seems very similar to that! Also when I was a kid my brother used to play Oddworld and when Abe does the chanting it used to freak me out
I grew up in the ps2 era. My favourite games were nfs underground 1 and 2, nfs most wanted 2005, nfs carbon 2006 and midnight club 2 2003. Their very memorable.
Never heard of unravel before. I think I'll pick up the sequel so I can play it with my son. Thanks Sayaka! My best game on ps3 was gta 4. I remember first playing it for about an hour or so and just stopped, pondered it for a second and stated "This is the best game ever made." Beside me, my roommate, in awe as I was responded "...You're right." To say it was the best game is exaggerated but in terms of production value and sheer polish, nothing had ever come close. Great moments in games have always been a thing, but gta 4 let you play the main role in a action thriller series that was Hollywood grade both narratively and visually.
I'm glad you're interested in Unravel! It's a charming game, and playing it with your son sounds like a lot of fun! GTA IV is definitely a landmark title I totally get what you mean about those moments where you just stop and appreciate how good a game is :D
I was in primary school when I got my PS2 slim around the same time the PS3 was released (the PS3 really made it look affordable at the time!) bundled with Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 and Tekken 5. Tekken 5 is still the best fighting game I've ever played. Other highlights that I had over the years were Gran Turismo 4 and Ratchet and Clank 3. I think the deepest impressions were made by games I played as demos; Final Fantasy X, Dark Cloud, Killzone and Black to name a few, most of which I've revisited now as an adult. I've not owned another PS console since but I honestly have enough of a PS2 backlog of games to never have to play anything else.
Interesting picks! Sands of Time is such a great game. I rebought it a while ago but I might just have to play it again soon now that you have reminded me of it.
Shadow of the Colossus was a masterpiece that and Metroid made me love those adventure games where you feel isolated and get lost in the game’s environments. The ambience of SOTC went crazy and the world building felt like a movie
Nice video! You should check out a Crash bandicoot ps1 game called Crash Bash. It's basically a party game of 4 players but you can still play it on your own. I have so many great memories of playing it with my family 😊.
You are the cutest gamer girl, I have ever seen on TH-cam . Oh... and my favourites Ps 2 games are Ratchet and Clank 3 Up your Arsenal and Sly Cooper 3. I finally found Fur Fighters, because I played that game myself back on the Ps 2 when I was a kid, but I forgot the name! The Ps 2 games had the best gameplay in my opinion. Nowdays games are a mix of movies, series and games. And there is too much microtransactions, server problems and bugs, boring or mediocre gameplay etc. Old games were definitly more fun, diverse and creative than today.
Thanks for the compliment! Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper 3 are such great picks, two amazing PS2 classics. That’s awesome you found Fur Fighters! It’s always satisfying to rediscover a game from your childhood that you forgot about.
playstation 2 is the greatest console of all time IMO. i will never forget the feeling of playing mortal kombat on it over at my buddies house. the title screen alone just hits different.
Thank you for this video it brought me back memories, one of my all time favorites was Super Metroid on ps1played it for hrs and also Gran Turismo (i had forgotten i did have a ps1 at one point lol) then PS2 was Grandturismo 4 played hrs
In the year ~2000 when I was age ~10, a school friend came over with the game FF8, we started it on a bedroom ps1(X) and a small crt monitor. I remember thinking WOW! seeing the opening movie. I purchased the game with pocket money and it became a sort of other world for me.
I really miss this style of 3D platforming games. I'm remembering Toy Story 2 on the N64 and Tak and the Power of Juju on Gamecube, loved these as a kid. This video brings back good memories of Prince of Persia!
Unique tastes, I've never seen some of these games. I personally enjoy the Big N more than playstation but my fav games are: Super Metroid, Megaman X, RidgeRacer 4, Silent Hill 3, Soulcaliber 2, Link to the Past, Okami, and Persona 4. Wow, that's a lot of games!
You saying you were around 6 year's old when you played Ultimate Ninja Storm makes me feel OLD. I was in Highschool when that game came out and I still remember going to the store to buy the game at launch.
If you like Crash Bandicoot, you'd probably really like the Spyro the Dragon games. Also, the rest of the Ultimate Ninja Storm games get more epic with each subsequent game, especially the boss battles, since they follow the anime/manga arcs.
You haven't lived until you experience playing and finishing the original Final Fantasy VII on PS1. That game changed my perspective of what a game could be.
i was working two jobs during many of the ps1 and ps2 years. so i didn't have alot of time for gaming. that said, i have fond memories of metal gear solid, mgs2, final fantasy vii, baldurs gate dark alliance.
You've got great collections. Tell you what, my most favorite gaming genre is open-world because I love to roam around the map and commencing its events like storyline missions.
Thanks! I appreciate that! Open-world games are fantastic for exploring and getting lost in the story. They really allow you to immerse yourself in the game world. And I always secretly hope to one day play Shangri-La Frontier. Maybe with VR!
I am older than that with my digital gaming experience - I was a kid when Atari 2600 was the rage. My friends and I reset the high score on the Pac-Man cartridge in about 8 hours of game play!
The Abe’s Odyssey games are so wild. Such a interesting style of graphics as well ✊
I totally agree! The graphics in the Abe’s Odyssey games are really unique and add so much to the overall experience😁
i tried it and it was funny game . i still remember there was botton for farting
@@TheThinkingMind404 *button!
And the sound was so atmospheric as well the cut-scenes!!!
Agreed. There's really nothing else like it.
I love the medievil shield on your wall
My top1 ps1 game🎉
That's one of the best ps1 games in my opinion which unfortunately lost a battle of sequels and thus went forgotten. Would've be so cool if there had ever could been Medievil 3 with new plot etc. Not just remastered.
Was just about to comment about this!
I love how you say GAMES and some other words. So much enthusiasm behind them. 😭

@@Sayakas_Digital_Attic definitely! Especially since I don’t have a lot of stuff from my childhood, so the fact that I still have it makes it even more special. I’ll never get rid of it.

A link to the past was my JAM on SNES. Between that and Chrono Trigger I was set as a kid.
Simpsons hit and run, the PS2 Spiderman, crash bash on PS1 and die hard on PS1 are my childhood classics
Oh my god - Fur Fighters. You're the real one!

Odd world is one of my favs from the PSOne! Such a great game, that intro was awesome
I recently found your channel by chance on TH-cam and I must confess that I love your contents here . Greetings from Brazil !
Good list of games! I also really loved Unravel! One of my favorite series I remember playing on my PS2 was the Sly Cooper series.
I've never played it, but I just watched a gameplay on TH-cam and it looks like a fantastic game! I definitely want to try it
I have fond memories staying up late as a kid with my brother and friends playing Fur Fighters. Very cool!

So happy to see Unravel on your list!
Hey Eleonora thanks for the new video!
Also when I was a kid my brother used to play Oddworld and when Abe does the chanting it used to freak me out
Rispect for the effort you put in this is such a nice and unique channel can't wait for next video
Thank you!
I want the Jeeg shirt so bad 😂 Awesome video, lovely to hear about your favourites!
I grew up in the ps2 era. My favourite games were nfs underground 1 and 2, nfs most wanted 2005, nfs carbon 2006 and midnight club 2 2003. Their very memorable.
Great video and i played Tales Of The Abyss on the 3ds and it is my favorite rpg. The story and soundtrack are amazing.
Never heard of unravel before. I think I'll pick up the sequel so I can play it with my son. Thanks Sayaka!
My best game on ps3 was gta 4. I remember first playing it for about an hour or so and just stopped, pondered it for a second and stated "This is the best game ever made." Beside me, my roommate, in awe as I was responded "...You're right."
To say it was the best game is exaggerated but in terms of production value and sheer polish, nothing had ever come close.
Never heard of Fur Fighters. Just added that to my wanted list, thanks!
Wow - now thats an impressive list. Aweome video! I hope you do more like this!
Thank you!
Great video metal gear solid 1 and Azure dreams were my favorite
Interesting picks! Sands of Time is such a great game. I rebought it a while ago but I might just have to play it again soon now that you have reminded me of it.
Amazing taste in games 🤩 more videos like this please!
Somehow your channel is under my radar for so long.
I enjoy your PlayStation related contents. Please try more PS3 repairs!
you are about 1 gen behind me. You are gorgeous and I adore the entusiasm! Keep doing you!
One of my all time favorites is I-Ninja, also really loved Ape Escape 2 and The Tak games
Shadow of the Colossus was a masterpiece that and Metroid made me love those adventure games where you feel isolated and get lost in the game’s environments. The ambience of SOTC went crazy and the world building felt like a movie
Back in the 90's... Sega Megadrive and Sonic..... was LEGEND ))))
This was very fun to watch! I used to play prince of Persia the sands of time on the psp and could never get past one level as a kid
I agree, it's my all-time favorite console as well! (along with the GameBoy SP)
I love watching your vids! very calming!
Thanks for sharing I'll have to check out fur fighters!
Tony Hawk's Underground and Kingdom Hearts were my favorites.
Thank you for this video it brought me back memories, one of my all time favorites was Super Metroid on ps1played it for hrs and also Gran Turismo (i had forgotten i did have a ps1 at one point lol) then PS2 was Grandturismo 4 played hrs
Gran Turismo is a great choice, but I prefer OutRun though
I've always been a Tekken guy and have all the games from the original to Tekken 7. I've even seen a couple of the Tekken movies as well
As growing with PS2
1 - Dragon Quest VIII
2 - Okami
3 - Dragon ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3
4 - Shadow of the colossus
5 - Kingdom Hearts 2
Fuck yeah my gamer, dq8
Tenkaichi 2 > Tenkaichi 3
In the year ~2000 when I was age ~10, a school friend came over with the game FF8, we started it on a bedroom ps1(X) and a small crt monitor. I remember thinking WOW! seeing the opening movie. I purchased the game with pocket money and it became a sort of other world for me.
I really miss this style of 3D platforming games. I'm remembering Toy Story 2 on the N64 and Tak and the Power of Juju on Gamecube, loved these as a kid. This video brings back good memories of Prince of Persia!
Definitely all classics. I grew up with the same. ❤️
Nice to see you also.
Great games!
Thanks!!
You should do more videos like this !
Thank you! Cool video 👍
VII-X all really good games, but VII is the most iconic and I think the best game ever created.
i was working two jobs during many of the ps1 and ps2 years. so i didn't have alot of time for gaming. that said, i have fond memories of metal gear solid, mgs2, final fantasy vii, baldurs gate dark alliance.
Beautiful and your games too
I grew up on the Playstation 2 as well. Great console!
Good collection 👍🏻
Omg...sands of time. Absolutely loved that game.
Playstation? PC all the way! Games I feared on my 286 were Alone in the Dark and Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. Love your soldering video's though!
I used enjoy playing projects gotham racer back in the day, also Colin McRae rally and test drive unlimited on PlayStation 3 was amazing.
