The first thing that struck me there was how many Reading players didn’t even look at their fans let alone acknowledge them when they got off the coach. Fans that had got up early and travelled all the way to Wales spending their money and time supporting their club. Can you imagine Brian Clough allowing his players to saunter off a coach with headphones on and not even glance at the people who pay their wages? I thought Reading fans have shown a real passion for their club in tough times and they deserve better than the distain some of those players showed them exiting the coach at Wrexham. If you don’t respect your supporters guys go and play for another club. If you don’t respect any supporters go and work in a factory.
Absolute fair point! Every single Wrexham player we saw was at least signing stuff and taking photos with fans for at least 15-20 minutes each and it was great to see how the home fans got behind their team. The more I think about it the more I agree with you. I think at this point it was 80 minutes before kick off, so they may of been in a rush? Not too sure. But a wave or a gesture just to acknowledge them would absolutely be better than nothing.
It was Paul Mullin’s first game back after having surgery earlier this year apparently so he only played for the last 20 minutes or so. Still cool that we got to see him play!
Thanks for the video. Did you have tickets before coming to Wrexham or were you able to buy at the gate? I was under the impression that its difficult to get tickets on game day.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video 😊 We checked on their official website the Tuesday before Saturday game and saw tickets available for £27. We thought about it for a day then decided to go and bought tickets on the Wednesday. At that point there was maybe only a couple sets of 2 seat tickets left. We probably wouldn’t have gone all the way there if we didn’t have guaranteed seats. The stadium was pretty full and couldn’t see any empty seats! I did overhear someone behind us saying they bought tickets the day before but not sure where from. Hope this helps and 🤞 you get tickets if you’re trying!
