    Are there some more nutrition or health "facts" you heard that you're unsure whether to believe or not? Or that you already found out are untrue? 🧐

    Thank you so much for the tips! I think nutrition is a very important topic that doesn't get enough attention compared to workouts. And you seem to enjoy talking about it which is great to see. I really hope your channel gets the recognition it deserves!

    Free range grass fed cows produce healthier milk and have healthier meat and pasture raised chickens produce healthier eggs and also have healthier meat, This is also something that contributes to the myth of milk, Eggs and meat being unhealthy since animals under a lot of stress and being fattened on unhealthy grains are unhealthy and make us unhealthy too. (You are what you eat indeed)

    Isn't 0.8g/lbs already quite high and only necessary if you engage in muscle building activites, such as going to the gym?

    • @verag4982
      @verag4982 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      yes, I am pretty sure it's supposed to be 0,8g per kg of normal weight, not lb

    • @hnnhml
      @hnnhml  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      0.8g per kg is the minimum amount recommended for sedentary people to keep all bodily functions going, yes, BUT that’s only the minimum amount, not the optimal amount ;) the scientific evidence on this isn’t super clear, but many experts suggest that even if you’re not active at all, eating more towards 0.8g of protein per lb (not kg) is beneficial for several reasons, including muscle maintenance (of the muscles you do have from basic activities like walking etc), satiety (protein leverage hypothesis), higher thermic effect of food (aka the calories burnt for digesting proteins), as well as things like cell repair and collagen production.
      The currently suggested optimal intake for actively exercising people is rather 1-1.2 g per lb
