The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!
Love it man. I have a small channel on here and I use 3 hero 7s. Love the 7s. I use the battery packs too but just learned earlier this year to run without the batteries to avoid over heating

The newer cameras don't use the battery if you plug in a USB power bank but they also won't charge so make sure batteries are topped off
Been using the 7 since it came out. For some reason my 8 and 10 wont get audio from my rode wireless go 2. No idea why but the 7 pairs good with it.
I got my gopro hero 5 on ebay for 85 bucks with 2 batteries a charger and SD card I have the mic adapter trying 2 start a kayak fishing channel

I have my power bank in my back pocket. The wire runs up to my go pro on my shoulder(stuntman shoulder harness) have you ever had any connection issues when wearing your chest pack or anything. I think its from maybe sitting on it while on the boat or truck while its connect to the go pro. I think it messes up the port on the power bank. I have a go pro hero 10 and i have 3 batteries. I just want to go out and fish and not worry about anything. But all that keeps happening is a connection issue from my power bank. I really want to keep it in my back pocket and not front pocket
i started with a 10 but i wish go pro would make a bundle deal for fishing content creators with two cams an some acceseries with it

Ia there a wireless lavalier mic that does not need a reciever to be plugged in? There ought to be a lapel mic that connects to the gopro via bluetooth or wifi or something right? That way my gopro is waterproof for surf fishing... please help!
Great set ups! I run a Hero 7 on my chest connected to a Rode Wireless Go II, and a Hero 8 and Hero 10 connected to battery mounts on the aft and side of my yak so we can have continuous footage of the action. Was using the Purple Panda but had to upgrade cause the background noise at the beach was too much with it

Hey man so any tips for your iso settings? Shutter speed setting etc. I keep mine on iso min 100 iso max 1600 and shutter speed on auto recording in 4k 30 are there any better settings, or something I should tweak to make it better? Also do you set a film duration on your GoPro when filming or do you not set a timer and just stop and start yourself? Sorry for the long comment lol I’m a beginner so any tips help
I forgot to mention i also run my gp10 on a 5 min. Loop so i can get video of my catches. If im fishing for 6 hrs.. maybe more. I hate to change batteries alot.
hey man. Question. when mounting you suction mount, how are you connecting a external battery to that. i have a longer cable, but not sure where to mount the external battery to be safe and sturdy going down the water.
I'm confused I noticed that one TH-camr uses a GoPro 5 and he said it is around $500 however the stuff you recommend is a much better price why was the 5 so much more than the 8-9 that you like is there different quality levels in the same cameras?

Got a Gopro Hero 8 for pretty much the same price as the 5.
i can only set highsight mode with 1080/60, with higher level(1080/2.7k/4k/*120-240) it will overheat and turn itself off, i really need 120 or 240fps for slowmotion, i use go10 + backup charger directly and do not use the battery in the device, I usually shoot under the sun 30-34 degrees Celsius and turn on the highsight during the fishing session (2-3 hours continuously), do you have the same situation? is it normal?
I have the same issue you have. The GoPro 9 and up are terrible for overheating. I have a Hero 7 and Hero 10, the 10 overheats in the sun/summer. Anything above 78F and it'll only last about 40 minutes. The only hack/solution I have been able to help out is to install the labs firmware, force it to trust USB power, pull the internal battery out, and got a third party battery door that allows me to shut the door but keep it plugged in to external pack. I also do what you do, I turn down to 1080/60 or 1080/30...still some days if it's 90-100F it still overheats. Thinking about getting the DJI action 3, seems much better for heat.

Not sure which camera you’re referring to. But I don’t have many problems with the 7,8, and 9 overheating. Just on extreme hot days they will. The 10 is really bad at overheating tho. I do not recommend
You need a serious mac 💻 or a gaming laptop to edit 5.3k and up.
The power bank in your item list doesn’t work for go pro. Voltage is too high
