There is a stray that hangs around a mile out of my little town, always near the highway. He looks just like Camper. He won't let you get close but i go to the gas station 3 or 4 days a week and throw out about $10 worth of chicken strips for him on my way back by.

For someone who loves to be in nature, I wish I could live like this! Seems so awesome and peaceful.
The highlights are, theres so much work and heartache that's not seen off camera, if you have the guts for it and can stomach it, more power to you
They make these large lego-like pieces that are used for leveling campers. They would take minimal space and might work for you to level the car for sleep.
I live an hour and half north of Blackwater Falls. That area has some absolutely beautiful scenery. I hope you had a good visit in my home state!

I just visited Blackwater Falls this past weekend. It’s so amazing there. There are so many trails to hike. Glad you and camper got to experience it.

I suffered for 2 years, went to chiropractors, physical therapist and stumbled upon the knees over toes guy and I am cured. His method worked for me!

Another great episode Nikki! Hey a little leveling tip for you; if you get some varying thickness pieces of flat lumber blocks like 2 x 6 and you can easily drive up on them for whatever side of the car you need to lay them down. It won't hurt the tires or suspension either and that lil' bit can really make the difference.

Hi Nikki, how is the Prius doing since the repairs? Was that 302+ thousand miles I saw on the dash? Impressive! Then again, it's a Toyota! 😁 Blackwater Falls looks nice, I was at Cooper's Rock camping a few years ago, looks very similar.
@@siliconvalleyJT I didn't know Camry's came in hybrids. My 2017 Camry SE with 73,000 miles eats gas. Only gets 15 miles to the gallon, and I've done a ton of fuel injector treatments, new spark plugs, nothing helps. Grrrr...

My parents got married in Cumberland, MD. I grew up in southwestern PA but live in CT now. This video made me miss my home area. Did you know that there is a bike trail called the (GAP) Great Allegheny Passage, that starts in Pittsburgh, PA and ends in Cumberland? The trail joins with the C & O canal trail and goes the whole way to Washington DC. That might be a fun thing to do when your knee is better!
I was in blacwater many years ago as a Pittman for a awesome pro quad rider Roy Dains !!! Back in the day it was the tuffest race course in America period .. we had a great time there too !! It’s a very nice town !!
Nikki - I have a Prius V (station wagon model - has close to the space of the RAV 4) and went camping with it (cheating, have installed inverter and had microwave, etc. lol). Made myself a platform since it's easy to remove and put the seats back, and thought I was ready with all the various goodies and tips I've picked up from you and others. Well - it was an awesome camping/paddleboarding trip at a gorgeous lakeside camping spot, but I have a new appreciation for the level of organization you must have to maintain your living space (and sanity!). I always realized it to some degree but after feeling like a comedy of errors for most of the time - I take my hat off to you for one, doing this full time, two, doing it in an even smaller vehicle, and three, with a dog thrown in to the mix - and making it look easy. You go, girl! You and Camper keep on living that best life!

Just South of there is Dolly Sods. It is an Alpine region of elevations over 3,000 and 4,000 ft. If you didnt get there this time thru. Please check it out next time you are back East. It will be a great adventure for you and your channel. So happy to see you handle all those steps at the Falls.

Love your videos. Glad to hear your knee is better. Have a bum knee myself. So I cringe when I see all those steps and when you get close to the edge of some of the rocks. My knee sometimes just gives out. I would definitely be over the edge. Love seeing the beautiful scenery. Thanks for taking us along.

I've had three "Campers" in my lifetime. Each one as special as the one before them. Each one very much loved. Each one very much missed. Like your "Camper", mine spent a lot of time in the wilderness with me hiking, canoeing, and kayak fishing. They went were I went. Anyone who has never experienced the unconditional love of a canine companion just does not know what they are missing. As fortunate as Camper is for you to have found him, you may be even more fortunate. He is a special guy full of life and that is contagious.
Sorry to hear about your inactive time because of health. I couldn't walk much for the last 10 years. It was horrible. Now that my 3rd hip implant is done I'm back to exercising again.

Grew up in Western PA, but lived in West Virginia briefly, it has always been one of my favorite states. Beautiful mountains, rivers and wonderful people.
I love Cumberland. Great mix of the outdoors (where the Great Alleghany Passage and C&O Canal trails meet!). Excellent food choices.
Aw when I was little, we used to visit my great aunt who lived near Point Pleasant every year and this makes me miss WV so much. I hope to go back some day soon. The Mothman Museum wasn’t there when I was there last time so I would love to visit! 😆
You need some blocks to put under the tires to level out the car. 2x8 or 2x6 works great, only need to be 6inches long so maybe a few 6x6x2 block would work.
