Nobody on this Earth could have come close to John Candy's performance of Del Griffiths in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. As a grown ass man, that movie still makes me cry. What a talent we all lost when John passed away far too young, beautiful guy, unmatched talent.
Absolutely.
I still laugh when I think about Del and Neil sitting on Del's trunk next to the highway at night as their rental car begins to burn.
Beautifully expressed. 💞
One of the greatest movies of all time.
Hey man..............I cry too watching that movie....( I`m 56 btw )............it`s just a brilliantly funny, heartwarming, great movie. The end.......where Neil goes back, and takes Del home for thanksgiving................it`s Niagara Falls everytime............and Johns acting goes straight into your soul. John Candy had the same quality as Robin Williams. They weren`t just funny, but they could play tragic, serious characters aswell. May they rest in peace both of them...........❤
@@onkelmarvin8360 So true and beautifully put. Thank you so much. 😍
One of the funniest guys ever. His performance in planes trains and automobiles is my favorite
It's his best movie by far. Uncle Buck is very good too but Planes, Trains and Automobiles really is on another level. He should have gotten an Oscar for his performance.
Yes
Watch Armed and Dangerous and Who's Harry Crumb, When he's on bicycle and hops off track lol
Spaceballs is the one in which I first "discovered" him, so to speak
Those aren't pillows😂
I miss my youth and innocence, I miss my Dad, and I miss John Candy.
Same here! Except I miss my mom (my dad is still alive and kicking)
What a lovely post
We miss John Candy. He was the greatest comedic genius to grace the movie screens. Thanks for the clip.
Love him. What a talent. Thank you John Candy for ALL the laughs. Thank you!
That smile and wave John Candy does when The Blues Brothers wave to him makes me smile. Every. Time. 😂
One of the best RIP John candy🌹
I miss him and Phillip Seymour Hoffman a lot, their movies and performances were great.
My Canadian landlord built his house and had a barbecue with him. He said he is exactly the same off camera as on. Very funny and great genuine guy. Badly missed.
John Candy was one of the best actors ever and a terrific human being. I wish I was like him. RIP to a great legend
I cried the day I found out he passed, he was my absolute favorite and still is ❤ The last scene of Uncle Buck and now in this video, always brings tears to my eyes. He was a treasure that we lost too early ❤❤
The man was so special as an actor. He would do movies that can be really good.
Chills at the end John we love you and miss you thank you for a wonderful childhood I’m 39 now and still love you until this day and forever 🙏🏼😊
We're the same age, I guess we both grew up watching John Candy's movies! :)
That was really a touching ending with the music. Candy mesmerized and made laugh so many people since his SCTV days. We were very lucky to have him.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊
He's very missed indeed!
The most good-hearted performer of our time. And a pretty great actor underneath all the comedy. Some nice smaller moments in this compilation--thanks!
Agreed. He was apparently planning on taking more serious roles when he passed away. I wish we had seen more of his dramatic talents, the little bits we got in some movies truly show what a wonderful actor he was.
He’s so naturally funny and charming… he’d be the best man at my wedding
Seeing John Candy takes me back to a Great time in my life. He is an Icon.
Everything this man did made you feel better. Gave you hope for good and decency in the world. Thank you for sharing.
John Candy was Terrific..So talented and so genuine..the Real Article..Lost him way to young..

Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊 He was a legend!
John Candy was an actor. A very kind man. A good father. Like most of us he had is flaws But it doesn't negate who he was. I still miss him.
He was the best! Since Sctv days
John Candy was the same as Robin Williams, in that they were both such good, kindhearted people with souls that were way too pure for this earth.
@tyler Please do not put Robin Williams in the same category as the great John Candy! TY!
@@deborahwilson4684 why? they were both loving, kind people!
Trains Planes Automobiles and Uncle Buck

His best films for sure!
Awesome job!! Thank you for sharing this. It'll be the best nine minutes and thirty-five seconds I'll see today.
Along with John Belushi, Randy Rhoads, Lemmy and Eddie Van Halen, no other celebrity passing hit me as hard as John Candy's
Incredibly actor. Hilarious human. The genuine article. 😀
Thank you, this means a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
We miss ya, big guy. Hope to see you soon. Much love.
I miss him. One of the funniest yet loveable guys there was. And so kind.
I wasn't old enough to share new moments with John... but he is easily still one of the top role models I have. Wish things could be different John... youre missed.

The devil scene in Planes, Trains and Automobiles always gets me.
The damage isn’t that bad, you just get buff it out.
Summer Rental has to be his best role. No one ever mentions that fantastic film.
My favorite comedy. I can quote the whole thing. “Those are fun for the whole family.”
There was a clip from Summer Rental at 1:07 in this video.
My father was a Fan of John candy movies and honestly so was I. I still remember the days of watching uncle buck with my father. Heck if there was one gift I could truly ask it’s to see John candys planes trains and automobiles again for the first time. Man do I love that movie
My favourite actor and personal, that I never got to met 😢
Could have you laughing your butt off one second and in tears the next. What an actor.
He made me laugh, he made my cry, and he made me cry from laughing. Rest in peace John.
Captivating Comedic Joy ?, That was Mr Candy. 'Volunteers', was and is the Best Movie ever, and I'm not even lying.
I absolutely loved John Candy. His sense of comedic timing was legendary. He was just a big, lovable Teddy bear that left us too soon.
i’ve heard he was one of the kindest people anyone would hope to work with on a movie
One of my few regrets in life is not asking John Candy for a hug when I had the chance.
I loved John Candy
John Candy was a talented actor and seemingly a nice and kind man.
Loved big John candy ! ❤❤❤❤Amen ✝️
EXCELLENT....Thanks for this video....I think John Candy was UNDERRATED.....Very good actor..EXCELLENT I should say.....and his comedy is mixed with drama.....Isnt as fake as Jim Carrey or the stunts by Steve Martin....or predictable imitations by Robin Williams......GRACIAS...THANK YOU for this TRIBUTE to Mr. John Candy (1950-1994)....GOD he died in MEXICO at the early age of 44.......RIP
In A lot of his films he had some pretty nice meaningful one -on-one scenes with his fellow actors .
in Summer Rental he had them with Keri Green and Joey Lawrence . In The Great outdoors he had them with Ian Giatti and Chris Young. In Planes Trains and Automobiles he had one with Steve Martin . in Home Alone He had one with Catherine O’hara
I had the pleasure of being John Candy's Friend in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. Thanks for this Wonderful Tribute!
Oh that's really nice! How was he in real life? Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@misterwhyte I've never heard anything but great things about him. His daughter said he was essentially Uncle Buck in real life. The character was his true persona.
Rest well john. We will never forget you.
John candy and Chris Farley are both missed
Damn you're good at these edits. Killed the music

Great video but you missed his small rol in JFK, a dramatic turn and a masterclass in acting.
John Candy. The best!!! May God rest your soul
Rest in peace, you angel
I never had a dad and didn’t know what a dad was supposed to be, until I watched Candy in the great outdoors
One of my favourite actors, i know he was mainly known for comedy but he could do dramatic stuff too
An amazing man who was a good actor.
He had a great few lines in the movie "Vacation" as well. ..
True; I wanted to include a couple and I forgot!
Miss him so much. Wonderful funny man he was.
That brainwashed bit seems pretty based ngl.
Watching movies from just 20-30 years ago is like watching another world entirely tbh.
Wonderful actor !
My childhood right there. Beautiful done.
Very well edited, including all aspects of Candy, the physical comedy, awkwardness, and the serious…bravo to you
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
He was great in Brewsters millions and Splash.

America's favorite Canadian actor, the late john candy.
Canadian Bacon was hilarious.

It’s impossible to pick a favourite, they are all so good
this needs more views
Thank you!
I'm thankful John Candy got to complete Cool Runnings & Canadian Bacon (before the film's release got delayed to 1995) before he died.
IMO, they're his last two great films.
He was very funny. My favorite movie of his is Uncle Buck
Great movie!!
John candy really seemed like a great guy!
He was a true flame that burned out way too soon. RIP John.
Rest in peace, John you are a great actor and a great man. Amen.
This was FUN, BUT.... I waited the ENTIRE THING for DEWEY OXBURGER FROM STRIPES.....that was his FUNNIEST CHARACTER with Uncle Buck trailing behind....😢😢😢😢😢😮😢
Awh the ending 🥲
Such a beautiful human
I'm grateful I was able to see him express it!
Um Gus Polanski the polka king of the Midwest! He was really big in the Sheboygan area!
John Candy should have gotten an Oscar for his "I like me" speech. But I don't think he was acting there. I think that was the real man.
People will Miss you ♾️ John Candy i just started getting into movies he has Be in my Favorite one is SpaceBalls
What about Dewey ‘Ox’ Oxenberg from Stripes. He was a lean green fighting machine
He's a Candy 🍬 not a Costello ...Candy never leader of Ireland 🇮🇪 but, Costello was 😅
NOT just a great comedian..................he was a truly great character actor too...............❤

Great actor. Miss him already.
I loved John Candy
67 and he could always make me laugh
Some guy named James Beckley on TH-cam just re-posted this video with no listed credits at all. It is this exact video just re-uploaded. Twins! Anyway, your work is so good people are stealing it. Well done!
Thanks for the heads up! I'll look it up. And thank you, I'm glad you like my work!
He only made $450.00 for his work in Home Alone
"Those are fun for the whole family".
its sad that he passed away
Superb funniest guy in the world
Summer Rental one of my favourites.
He was Canada's gem that died way too young.
