From its inception, the GV80 was a purpose-built luxury suv. Even the base models could compete on a global playing field. No need to spend $75k+ on one when a $60-62k one will do the exact same job.
If anyone told me 10 years ago that I would be interested in buying anything that was a Hyundai, I would have laughed at them. The truth is, Hyundai has come so far in the last decade. While Lexus and Toyota are both in the Top 4 for JD Power for reliability, Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis (All 3) rank in the top 7. Hyundai is really doing something good. I now own a 2020 G80 Sport, and honestly, when I get to a point of getting an SUV, the GV80 or possibly the GV70 will be getting good looks. Thanks, Ben!
I laughed at my husband when he told me he wanted to buy a Hyundai Genesis V8 maxed out. We had that car for a decade then traded up to the G90. That car is now 3 yrs old and is one of the sleekest and nicest vehicles I have ever been in. Valet guys love it! Lol! The acceleration can be intense! I drive a 2 yr old GV80 Prestige. I adore it! I believe we will always own Genesis vehicles, but they have to get ahold of the service and dealership situations. After two years, that is becoming unacceptable.
For those wondering what the large box in the back was. It's the cleaning and care kit for the matte paint, that comes with the car since it's very delicate and requires special precautions to not damage the paint.
What precautions are we talking about? Because I am thinking of getting the matte green color as well. Actually I’m confused between the gloss green and the matte green
@Simon Davis a brushless wash is fine, and most pdr guys have matte touch up paint. All of my matte customers have been happy with their purchase. But I 100% see the worry in purchasing something that does require more upkeep.

My three drawbacks to the GV80 are the poor (non-hybrid gas mileage), that info screen that you have to use the wheel for, and its short stature. I hate how they’re making all the SUVs so short now. They’re all basically station wagons or jumbo hatchbacks these days. An SUV should be at least as tall as I am.
As an upholsterer I'm telling you leather on door tops and the dash where the sun will bake it is no bueno.Bueno. Google the equus dash issues from a few years ago.

@@Darkbaboon the RX is based off the Toyota Camry platform. So calling it a fancy Camry suv is valid since as I said before it’s a Camry underneath but with an suv body and fancy lipgloss
