      No actually this was my first Crossfit workout in years. I didn't go down as low as she did. I went slightly below horizontal.

    That's one one hand a truly awesome display of fitness. But the GHD sit ups are a sure recipe for back injury. I mean I do hyper extension of the back, but not in this way. Hip thrusts and one-leg glute bridges are a better glute-ham development, IMHO.

    • @kblkbl
      @kblkbl 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Is there something involving back that isn't a sure recipe for back injury? How come we have human beings deadlifting +400kg or OlyLifters who perform high volume of back extension on a regualr basis? It's all about . adaptation. If you've never touched a GHD you have no business doing this WoD, just like you won't be trying to deadlift 400kg with a 150kg PR.
      On the other hand hip Thrusts and glute bridges are the best for glute/ham development indeed.

    Lets throw in GHDs and follow it with overhead lunges because as we all know a pre exhausted core won't influence the effectiveness or safety of the exercise.

      GHD Situps are not that harmful to your back if done correctly. Problem with that is the fact that a) they are fairly technical and b)technique and fatigue are two things that tipically dont go very well together

      @seph9980 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @whiteribbonman1

      +nustada Another recipe includes falling backwards onto the edge of a bathtub. That didn’t do it either. 😆
