It took me TWO DAYS to watch this video. I would watch it... pause it... try to do what you did... start watching again... PAUSE IT... two days of that. I got my MPC One two days ago. Now I can safely say I understand everything you mentioned in this video. So big-ups for THAT. And congrats on the 2.3k likes... That's a LOT of likes! :D
What do you think of it? I'm trying to buy one myself cause I'm trying to get into producing and how much did you pay for it? I've been seeing them for about $799
@@roshaungoolsby4554 Yeah the price has been going UP. I got mine for 699. Anyway... I absolutely LOVE IT. I think the things that it has over the Live and Live II (extra buttons, smaller form factor) outweigh the lack of internal HD and wifi/bluetooth. I was looking for something to accompany my Novation Circuit. Well this has pretty much REPLACED my Novation Circuit. And it ALMOST replaced Ableton. I was getting ready to sell my Push 2 before I realized what a pain mixing and mastering are on any MPC. Don't get me wrong: You can create an entire song effortlessly on the MPC One. Faster and easier than you could probably make a song anywhere else. And I mean even a COMPLICATED song. But then when it comes to doing things like fading in and out an really working with that completed song and making it "Radio Ready"... You'll still need to whip out the laptop. Or maybe I just haven't figured out a way to do that on the One yet. Suffice to say... I wish I'd had something like this YEARS ago.
I bought my MPC One a couple weeks ago. I'm totally new to beat making with a legit sampler. Other tutorials have been overly technical and use lingo I don't understand. You break this down simply and easily. I really appreciate your teaching style. Thanks much.
I got mine a few days ago, and one of the things I have noticed, about MPC instructional videos, is that, depending on how old they are, they represent some information, that is no longer correct, as of the latest firmware/operating system updates. Where I notice this most, is that because they changed where to find some things. Many items, are no longer stored on the local drive, and are instead, stored on external drive/memory card slot. What I need before I even make my first beat, is to figure that out, and get some pointers, on how best to organize files, folders, plugins, on my SD card. And how the file system works, as of the latest software update. Thanks for the great instructions, best wishes for your continued success.

I've been watching a few videos by different guys today that were very helpful and i'm just like cool, lots of info on how to make music, just gotta translate it to my genre. But i just stumbled on this video and as soon as it started playing and he started talking, i was like "that's the guy! That's the guy i'm looking for!" Just got mine today, and this was a great jump-off place for getting into it without reading the manual for a few hours. This thing is obviously deeper than I even thought it was, and I did research going into it. DAW in a box, basically, which is impressive for $700 and with the build quality it boasts. Ironically, I got mine just so I'd have *some* sort of percussion while playing with my Roland System 8, because every time I have it out, I wish I had some percussion to work against. I think it may become more than that, despite me having four full DAWs. Same with my basses and guitars...should be an awesome, "I don't have to mess with a mouse," type of tool...but with the ability to go as deep as I want. Thanks for the video!
