I just bought me the MPC One and i dont had any MPC before. My first 30 minutes i past with ur video :). thanks a lot. Its a great beginner lesson. Now i go check out the rest :)
I just plugged my brand-new MPC One+ and SP404 in tonight, and my wife’s already making mixtape requests. Yes, mixtape requests. I haven’t even touched either machine yet, because I’ve still gotta wash dishes. Anyway, this MPC is an upgrade from my old MPC Studio (for my Mac), but I’ve never used a 404, so a lot of learning goin’ on. Thanks for being so thorough with your instruction.
Thank you, Marcus. If this is just an appetizer, I can onlyimagine that the actual course is going to be fire. Hope you feeling well, brother. Blessings!
@healthymusic50 Hey nice work and teaching. I was wondering if I already gave the MPC X and I get the MPC ONE PLUS do I have to purchase the sounds plug-ins again?
@@MarcusElbow Brah I need one to do synth music but the budget. can you suggest one a little cheaper maybe $100- $200. I have synths don't have anything to hook up and play them. Would like something that's also portable but again budget gotta take what I can get 1st. thanks.
Forgot to update you on that. This joint is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I've been using MPCs off and on for 31 years, so this wasn't that difficult at all. Just had to get used to the button layout
This is a great tool, I cut my teeth on the mpc 2000 xl when i started making electronic music. my main sequencer daw is ableton live , but i wanted to get a mpc again for that classic sampling vibe. though ableton pitches better then the akai i still prefer the feel of the akai for coming up with new ideas. those limitations and being able to go sit on the patio away from my studio make it a really nice option. Ive had a few other samplers over the years aswell like a roland sp 505 . though i like the sound of the 12 bit samplers i do not miss the long loading times. Really glad i picked up the mpc one and am pleased with the way they have things on the new units.
I’m about to purchase my first ever mpc, in your expert opinion should I go with the one + or the mpc keys 37? I just want to create atmospheric instrumentals on one single standalone machine and not be dependent on a computer

After using Fl studio for 7 years I’m trying this out. Just got mine a week ago and it’s been frustrating. If I don’t start coming up with some heat in a few months ima end up selling it.
I've seen quite a few reviews on the MPC One Plus and you definitely pointed out some key items that others failed to mention. I previously had the maschine mk3 a few years ago and ended up selling it because it was overwhelming and the pads were not to my liking. I am looking to get back into beatmaking and Akai seems to be the best route for a newbie like myself. Currently have the beatmaker 3 app and that is a beast in itself. Any recommendations for midi controllers for that app? Having to use the touch screen for the pads is not ideal and looking for other options. Thanks for the informative videos!
I need help with my One+ I can't seem to download or transfer my free plugin. Also, I created a few beats with the factory sounds but I can't save beats to my SD card. Can you help me or point me in the right direction?
I have it in controller mode, it’s a pain in the ass. Mpc works perfectly fine but one in the software I can’t get the pads to work correctly. It’s either the software or my settings but I can’t figure it out.
The most frustrating device I've bought, just totally incomplete. Simple things like not being able to load a new sound in whilst the track is playing.. wish the makers would test their own stuff.
I’m a new beginner & I have the plus & I wanted to know if you can tell me what is the easiest way that I can load expansions in standalone? Because I’m have difficulty loading in the 3 expansions that I brought (Soul Survivor, Marco Polo Thia Deluxe , & the Neo Sunset)
Connect the mpc to your computer with the usb cable. Go to the menu, then up right a big chip icon, click that and switch the mpc to controller mode. The sd card inside the mpc appears on the computer as a pendrive. Create a folder named "Expansions" there and copy your expansion there. Unnount the drive on the computer, switch back the mpc to standalone and use your expansions.
Invested in the Plus after getting rid of my One over a year ago. I thought I'd go back to Maschine because that was my entry into hardware. Bad mistake. Akai is killing the game at an incomparable price! Standalone hardware with NI is $1000+ & the workflow on the MPC is just unrivaled.
anyone else got that issue where you go to preferences, wifi, and then from there wifi can't detect any routers, it just gets stuck? so annoying... I might have to send it back because I can't resolve this
The graphic designer at Akai want sacking. I mean, seriously, red writing on a black background ( same as the MPC one ) you literally can't read it in low light. Useless for live sets.
What good fello beat creators! Want to know what’s in my studio? Check out my gear here: www.zzounds.com/share--elbowmedia_studios_gearlist
I just ordered mine! Comes on Sunday, super stoked. I will say, for the $700 price tag these are an AMAZING purchase IMO.
30 minutes?? It took me like 3 months to figure out my MPC one plus didn't have. It took me 3 months to literally hear a sound. Lol good stuff
How did you end up hearing sounds from it? I just got one and nothing is coming out of it.
Just bought mine. Setting up now. Thank you so much boss!!!
A lot to learn, but I'm looking forward to it.
Im new to Mpc and you explained everything perfectly bro, thank you!

Getting me one next month was going to get Mpc key 37 but I want this because I have 49 midi key note keyboard
Excellent video, thanks
I'm gonna have mine later today. I own the Touch but my newer Mac won't see it. Excited to try this out.

This is the first tutorial, that shows, you how to start.

I want to be able to sample records straight from my turntable into the mpc and loop plus chop samples.is this equipment good for that?
Oh yeah!!
Nice Lil Wayne action figure haha
Uuuuuggggghhhhhh
TELL ME WHEN TO GO!
GO! 😅
Good sport nice
I just sub
If they had a app would make it a lot smoother while out and about
They do 🤔 it’s called iMPC on the iPad
18:36 could’ve explained how you cut that sample off the pad short once you added the next sample
🤔

Sorry he didn't reply. I have the same issue

Is it worth it to spend the extra $200 to buy the MPC Key 37?
If you want 37 keys with your MPC then yes
Any body notice they low end sound lil different like muffled with new mpc update?

I might have to send it back because I can't resolve this
everytime I save up for some gear or kit
I copp, and another one pops out
404, op1, mpc one , os
on some Bs
Or planned obsolescence
dick moves
Comparison is the thief of joy.
sometimes less is more..
Just curious…is anyone else having an issue with the touchscreen getting really hot?
Not me sir.

Thank you so much!!! I got my MPC One+ today🙌🏾🥹
