This video is gold, I just got my MPC One in February and this guy literally taught me everything! Watched all his MPC One videos And now im here making hits with artists and also teaching my friends how to use it! Thanks for the tips Keep doing you my guy
Some of the most professional tutorials on the Tube. I love that you get straight to the point with no egoic filler and misleading captions for your vids. Respect, homie!
Bro this has been the best video I've ever experienced on TH-cam. You have been so helpful and the video was exactly what I was needing to get me to my next challenge with my MPC. I appreciate your time and dedication. Mad respect for the work you've put never the entire time of your career and to be able to share the love . What a tremendous honor. Thank you..
Man! i'm an old MPC 4000 user,, I got the MPC one now,, you don't know how much you have helped me with this new tech,, your appreciated ,, peace ! aka RILEYBOY BEATS!
I just discovered, that if you use the “PRO TEN” option for the Audio Warp Algorithm, instead of the “LEAST CPU”, audio samples sound a lot better when you slow them down or speed them up. Learning this machine is like taking a college course...lol.
MakingMadBeats yeah, you bring the front barrier of the sample towards the end as if you’re editing everything out; you click process, and then fade out. Next bring the front barrier back to it’s original position and you’re gucci.
I just picked up my MPC ONE a few days ago and this was, hands down, the best tutorial I've watched so far (of probably 50 vids). Great pace, clear details, and didn't leave me scratching my head about what you had just done. Can't wait to check out what else you have!
Man I'm loving my MPC One...Ive always wanted one since 97 when I first saw an mpg 2000 and Too Short talked about it on his albums...by the time I finally buy one its the MPC one. thanks so much for the lessons and videos. The videos been helping me learn and and get the hang of the mpc.
I have an MPC One+ (first MPC ever as i am hobbyist in music production) and your videos have been quite informative. I have learned a lot about the many functions of the MPC. Keep up the great work.
Thanks again for your tutelage! I have the MPC ONE PLUS AND BASICALLY THEY WORK THE SAME FOR ME. Decades ago I was messing around with the older MPC’s and now I feel like doing music again.
Just picked up a used MPC One after having seen talented producers like you work their magic. This was the best rundown on how to get started. Many thanks for sharing!
Well, if you're looking for ideas, here's what I need to do right now... I have a reference track for a song I want to cover. It can load that off SD card. What I want to do is two-fold: 1) use it as an audio track so I'm laying my stuff over the reference track until I no longer need it on (I know how to do that with an audio track), but 2) and this is the part I don't know: how to take that *same* sample, and slice out several elements of the percussion to take them as samples, save those samples separately, to the point I can assign them into a drum program on pads. That's the part I don't know how to do, is slice & dice to get just the parts I need, and save only those parts for re-use. You do good videos, man. Very helpful for someone who just got the unit!
Just picked one up to accompany my bass playing. Your vids have helped me get started making my own beats so that I can create my own bass lines and more. Appreciate you and keep making dope tutorials.
Thank u for this detailed video. Just started testing out the sampling today and had a very basic understanding of how it works, but couldn't get it timed right. This video will fix all that
Thank you Sir. That is a great help 4 me. Saves time and is clear to understand. I hope 2find time to test it by myself in the evening. Greetings from Germany. Frank from Frmusik
Explained really well IMO. Easy to follow, interfaced with audience nice n simply but effectively. Double like the bit where you say “don’t panic, not all is lost.” Felt I picked up some tips to try out…and learn! Keep up the good work, peace 🕊
Bro thank u so much i just bought one but its in back order so i have to wait but i been watching tutorials and this is definitely one of the best ones I've seen so far that was very helpful I love sampling I am a crate digger I can't wait to see what I can do with all these albums I have much love bro
Dope. have you tried pad parameters instead of non destructive ? it allows you to make adjustments to individual pads opposed to the entire program. and the warp was not on or engaged that's why it sounded that way. you have to go in and manually select warp. 14:07 try that out incase you haven't figured that part as yet. #KeepBangin! Peace!
Thanks for getting me started/ motivated.Have had this gear for a year and I'm just now diving all the way in. Got a MPC2000 and it's not that much of a difference on basic operations looks like. Gotta get use to the touchscreen. Thanks again!
@@Jersey9998 I may actually cancel my order next week and just get the X. It's way nicer anyway and I wouldn't have to rely on my phantom power box to record vocals.

Trying to decide which MPC to get between the One and the LIve 2. I'm an old school head that made beats on the MPC 60 and 3000. I just want to make music again, not trying to be famous but just to get that feel good feeling again of making music.
Great video! I’ve been trying to get familiar with mine, and this vid definitely helped. Haven’t had an MPC in 20 years, and have been trying to get better with the OP-1, and a few other synths. Love the One, though. Not crazy about the drum sounds on my DB Impact, OP-1 drums sound like tin, but the One is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
This was a great tutorial and helped me wrap my head around the workflow. The use of the Shift button was absolutely new to me as well. Thanks for posting this.
Very descriptive and informative, thank you. Between Digitakt and this thing still. I’m all Ableton so this looks perfect, but Digitakt keeps calling...
Hey... I have that one too lol I’m using the mpc one as a midi sequencer and running everything through the Dj 808 for mixing and effects then running the outs from that back into the mpc one for finishing touches. I love this little machine, it does so much.
Thanks for these videos sir. Just picked up my first ever MPC as the MPC One so the transfer of this knowledge is appreciated. Blessings to you and yours👊🏼™️
An unrelated but important point for anyone trying to edit or move a sample or recording placed on the Audio track timeline is how to 'micro adjust' positioning of the audio on the timeline (similar to Ave here in his video in Sample Edit mode). You can use the Q link buttons but if its not adjusting as fine or as small increments you want then you gotta change settings. This was not obvious to me at all. First go back and turn off TC. Then come back and change settings to adjust using TC. Now the Qlinks will move the audio timeline in tiny increments.
I am new to this electronic stuff, I have been playing strings all my life. I may be going to need MPC or MASCHINE. Next week Akai MPK 249 is arriving. I hope I can do some stuff on that. My software is perfect for making beats but the mouse control is just ineffective and slow and it is super conusing to work with mouse on synthesizers. When you dont have that knob to turn on a synth you sometimes feel like a caveman inside of a jumbojet aircraft.
appreciate that you are showing potential errors, like forgetting the monitoring button or having too high threshold , very useful
Yup, took me a few minutes to even see the monitor icon. 🤣🤣🤣
Yup... But that's because he really made the mistake live and figured he'd show you it lol

Ave if you hit shift in sample edit and click 0 snap it helps with avoiding the pops in samples. If you didn’t know 💪🏽

Is there a way in sample edit to mark just a small portion of the sample to do fade ins and outs to get rid of clicks and pops like on Maschine?
MakingMadBeats yeah, you bring the front barrier of the sample towards the end as if you’re editing everything out; you click process, and then fade out. Next bring the front barrier back to it’s original position and you’re gucci.
