Part 2 of my trip to Rome, part 2 of my street photography walk. This time a full day of street photography with local street photographer Nicola. It was a pretty good day, perfect weather, pizza, coffee and some street photography :)

Is he using a flash in a bright day? that's unusual!..📷👍 street photography is my hobby, living in Rome is an advantage for me doing street photography. I love taking photos in the morning or maybe afternoon because of the shadow or a rainy day for reflections. Nice photos anyway good job.
10:31 fire! I don't know if I would feel comfortable to get into someone's face for a pic but it was so worth it

Great video Octavian. I enjoyed every minute of it. Nicholas is also has very cool shots. From yours it was difficult to choose, out of so many Nic shots, but my favourite is number 16.

Awesome video! Thanks for that. Great city. Wonderful photos. How do you do it, that the shadows are often so cool dark? Camera setting or post? Also beautiful when the red tones pop out. Love your results. chapeaux! ❤
Hi Frank and thanks a lot ! I underexpose my shots when I have powerful light, even 2-3 stops if needed :) Camera settings and post as well. Appreciate it !

At 0:16 in the intro you have captured the most amazing young man, sharp dressed, long hair, coat over his arm and the most amazing stride in his walk. He should be in the movies. 😎👍

Rome is indeed a special place for many many things, including street photography.
Everyday life seems to have more nuances there. The episode came out really nice. You used the potential of the place in a very smart and productive way. A beautiful intro and a ton of great shots. Favorite shots must be, of course, those of the Walking Umbrella 😄.
And that's the proper amount of pizza😉.
It was nice to see Nicola. He has a very interesting photography style.

Completely agreed that less music is so far better, you feel more the vibe of the walk, you can hear the conversation between the both of you, you are more implicated. And damn, you miss the shot at 08:45 (red stripes on the wall/girl with the pull-over with red stripes ) ! But anyway, I enjoyed the video as everytime ! Thanks Octavian ! Tremendous, as usual, Octavian. I'm not sure if you heard, but a new version of Q2 firmware was recently released and features highlight-weighted metering. I have it installed but have not had the chance to try it out. Cheers!

Solid, fast moving post, Octavian. High contrast lighting a challenge, I imagine. Cool opening vid w/characters - love the girl taking a pic of her wine w/smartphone. Favs were 3, silhouette, 4 light trap and 19, car in contrast. Red stripe wall w/too many people was instructive - got the general idea that you were going for a passer-by wearing red (yes?).
Thought the 2 nuns in blue might have worked. Difference in styles was clear; Nicola tended to get in closer to his subjects - dancing dog and umbrella kid a hoot. Cool hat, BTW😁.
Looked like crowds in this one were locals. Didn’t quite get what cam Nicola was using (a Fuji?), and did he actually use the flash during the shoot? Deep dish square pizza a rare treat when crust is not too thick.🍕 Onward to Naples.
Thank you Paul ! Ye)s indeed we were looking to have a subject in red close to the wall. Nicola was using the Fuji XT20 with a 18 mm f2 if I am not wrong :). he did use the flash during the walk several times indeed. Pizza was perfect :) Rome was perfect (not necessarily talking about street photography here :) . Thanks for the feedback !
If I may suggest Octavian, the background of the intro where you were talking to Nicola seems distracting. Perhaps against a wall with good ambient light and black and white before going onto the video proper ? It’s great seeing you meeting other people and exchanging influences and opinions. I think rather than not including music it has to be adjusted accordingly to the flow of the video. During your discussion it was great there was no music. But music can be used to also improve the mood of the video say when you think you just took a great picture. Just my opinion Octavian. Thank you for your video 🙏🏾

What your camer setting ?
I shoot mostly in aperture priority at f 8 or f 11, minimum shutter speed of 200 and ISO depending on the situation 😁
