As a drummer, I'm loving Nathan's touch on this album so far. His playing is so much more nuanced and dynamically varied than it used to be. The dude's pocket just keeps getting deeper. As for the song, I'm reminded more and more of Aha Shake - Because of the Times era Kings every time I hear it. The long pauses between chords in the pre-chorus, the constant energy, it just brings me back to the days when the Kings wrote for themselves and not the radio. They just said in an interview with Zane Lowe that that's what they've done for this album - write it the way they want, radio play isn't a factor. Really excited for that first listen.

I think it's weather/whether we stand - I think they utilized both meanings in this song. but could be wrong.

This album has some of the best choruses and instrumentation that sticks with you. Like Caleb’s voice is such a vibe during the choruses. And the instrumentation is so much more unique this album round.

Reminiscent of U2’s “With or Without You” video treatment in the beginning then opens up into an energetic spirited performance video. The song is incredible and shows the power of this band. So glad they are back!

It's so weird seeing comments of people saying Come Around Sundown is their favorite KOL album. So far I've only really listened to their first 4 albums and it's hard to imagine they're gonna make an album better than Because of the Times. I'm gonna start listening to Come Around Sundown now, I've only heard it couple times (really casually), it didn't really live up to my expectations but maybe I just need to hear it more?
Definitely. I used to only like their first three albums but after I while I gave another listen to the others and they've all definitely have grown on me. In my opinion Come Around Sundown is super underrated and under-appreciated !
