In 1966 when I first heard this song, tears streamed down my cheeks because your sweet, gentle voice touched my soul and heart so deeply. I was then 17. In three weeks I will celebrate 73 years of a beautiful life and your amazing sweet, gentle voice touches my soul and heart in exactly the same way now as it did in 1966. Thank you Art Garfunkel.

Marilyn, it's great that you have had a 'beautiful life'. So many people are disappointed with their life's experience, so it's nice to hear that. I discovered Mr Garfunkel when I was 16 (back in 1975), and still listen to him. A voice like velvet.

Art is an icon, and has been blessed with out-of-this-world voice, and place in music history. What a multi-talented man with other pursuits too. It would be a dream come true to have him sing a song or two with my band of Drs and Scientists, and meet him. But he is out of our league- we are just music lovers that are Drs and Scientists that play for joy when we can at conventions on and off. Bless him.

If anyone knows where Paul Simon lives, please go around to his house and wake him up out of his sleep and tell him the show has to go on. He can’t keep doing this forever. A whole new generation of new fans need to see what Simon & Garfunkel are about. He needs to come to his senses and be available and not just be doing solo shows because the great harmonies are not there when he sings alone.

I always thought that Art Garfunkel had such a beautiful voice with wonderful high range that few could match. But the show always seemed to belong to Paul Simon with Garfunkel singing harmony on most of their songs. There were a few songs where Garfunkel had a lead vocal but not many. He did get lead vocal on "Bridge Over Troubled Water", their biggest hit. It's sad to see Art at a point in life where the years have taken their toll on his marvelous singing voice. Simon and Garfunkel have always been one of my favorites. They did so many wonderful songs together and some great music as solo artists. The Concert in Central Park is always a real treat to watch or listen. It was a reunion for them after several years apart and a wonderful performance that night in September 1981.

One of the great voices of the 60's and 70's and the 80's. Time is not always a good friend. We must understand the voice just does not last as long as we want it too.

Artie! (As Judith Piepe called you.)
I was living in Judith’s flat at 6 Dellow House in London’s East End when you arrived from England.
Both wonderful and poignant to know you’re still singing.

(Correction to reply from Caroline Staples): should read “when you arrived from the States in 1965.” Lovely to know you’re still singing.

I saw him and his son in Liverpool before the pandemic , I was thinking I was so near to an absolute legend performing in person, I felt very privileged too hear him sing live, if only I could have seen Simon and Garfunkel live but I was very lucky too see one of the greats
