One thing worthy of mentioning, you could be much more efficient if using your house by using dust runes in place of earth/air runes. They are also cheaper than airs/earths. you can then fit dust, chaos, and laws into your rune pouch for house teleport which is especially helpful if using BGS + BP if ur BGS specs miss.

Another good practice for players new to vorkath that aren't used to the mechanics, get in the habit of moving 2 spaces after 2 attacks with blowpipe, or 1 attack with a crossbow. Keeps you from falling asleep and eating a fireball, and gets you moving when he spits the acid so it shouldnt land on you.
If you dont have the elite Fremennik diary complete you can put a Lunar Isle teleport in your PoH, bank at Bird Eye Jack then talk to any Lunar NPC to get kicked off into Relleka

Noticed that you don't need to eat if you wanna kill the spawn, if you don't need the hp or prayer you can just click on the floor wherever since your are frozen you won't move, it will stop you from attack and allows you to open your book sooner if you're a slow clicker like me. Also tank gear for begginers helps not having to worry so many about eating all the time. Also i died 4 times first 4 kills, and then got 40 kc without dieing cuz got the hang of it, don't quit as you die, the GP you spend learning the thing will be made no matter what.
I believe the idea of clicking on the ground is mentioned in the vid. Eathing is only needed when you're lower on health obv, but it's also one of the few times during the fight that you won't lose dps if you eat, so unless you're at full health it makes most sense to eat here. The whole idea is to just stop attacking Vorkath tho. In terms of opening your spellbook quicker you should start using your F keys. It shouldn't take long to click 1 food then your f key I'm glad the guide helped!
Also 1 thing worth mentioning, you could replace the ranging potion with a bastion potion. Not only does this give you the same amount of range bonus, but it also grants 5+ 10% of defence level (which is a ton)! this will definitely decrease your food usage and increase your trip length. Good guide!
For those with a blowpipe I agree 100% with this advice. Idk if matters if you're only tanking mage hits though. I believe only mage defense would help with this. Which an imbued heart wouldn't hurt for that extra def

Underrated guide. Killed it for quest with black d'hide and rune c'bow due to the in-depth analysis of Vorkath's mechanism. Took about 6 attempts to get the memory going for what attack did what and how to react prior to its effect. *EDIT*: Thank you for the info!

Super quick way to vorkath with little requirements and effort is a lunar isle portal in your house. I house tele after kill, bank/pool/altar, then portal to lunar isle. talk to closest npc and without a seal of passage they'll kick you off the island after 2 pieces of dialogue. Teleports you a few steps from the dock for vorkath. a bit quicker than relleka tele if you don't have the boots.

Thanks for this guide, found it super helpful. I just finished DS2 today, and have been at Vorkath for a few hours and haven't died since around 7kc thanks to you! I'm also getting some two kill trips! Your guide made me very confident in being able to do this considering I'm generally pretty bad at pvm (took me ~40 deaths at Zulrah to get one kill for my diary). For anyone wondering in 85rng/84def/89hp using elite void with salve (ei), bp with addy darts, archers (i), and dhide boots. I also bring bgs, b ring (i) and fire cape for spec.
Tip for lower lvls. I do vorath with karil's for some extra def. Under 92 range its not worth to use voide with the blowpipe. You do less dps and have to eat more so you can hit less. Take a bgs with you to speed up your kill. I average kills around 3.5 mins with 82 range and 75 def. Also drink a super combat before poking him for the extra def. As prayers you should take your best prayers. Protect mage and best range and def prayer. At the end of each kill i go to clan wars to bank and restore my stats and teleport to home to go for my next kill. If you can restore your special attack its worth to restore it if you have bad specs with your bgs.
i believe the reason people use void is because its damage boost does stacks salve ammy. have you tried using it for a while to see which is actually better?
@@HelluhKwin i have tried it and used a calculator below around lvl 92 you do less dps because your accuracy is to low. Also i have to eat way more because my defense is lower this will also lower your dps. you have 2 extra hit with void. But missing to much isnt worth it. I have tried it when i had 80 rang but not recently when i have 88.
A lot easier way to not get hit in the acid phase is to always click further than where you are going to turn. This way your character never stops walking and it's impossible to get hit.
Really good, thorough guide. The boss has been out for a while, so I like to check out the newer guides. See hwat tricks have been learned ie: woox walk I was wondering about my cape slot. Use my accumulator? I don't have the same cape you used. If you mentioned what it was, I missed it.
Awesome guide, helping me a lot in learning how to kill Vorkath. One issue im running into when trying to woox walk with a crossbow is that my character doesnt reliably move backwards after i click vorkath. im clicking back and then to the side, and about 50% of the my character just goes to the side. Im assuming im clicking too fast after clicking backwards, but so far when i try and delay the 2nd click i jsut eat some fireballs.
Would recommend using a bastion potion instead of a ranging potion and taking dust runes instead of earth and air, since it allows you to put any death rune drops in your pouch and save an inventory slot on loot if you get them as a drop
The dust runes are a viable idea. Bastion potion will only help tank against ranged hits, which you likely are protecting from. But if you use a blowpipe the whole fight you could bring bastion potions

By far better then the other guides I've watched. Wish you would of mentioned that the Super anti-fire is required (think you said to use it but not as to why) as the regular anti-fire doesn't work on vorkath. I actually looked it up no wonder I was taking so much damage.... still was getting 2 kills a trip somehow. lol
@@TheEdB0ys Personally it would be nice to know why super antifires are important and how you need three layers of dragonfire protection. Super antifire counts as 2 and the antifire shields count as one. With blowpipe you get two from the super antifire and one from mage protect. For those out there who are curious. @@cameronnelson213 It is just one of Vorkath's mechanics that you need the 3 levels of protection. With 2 you take some damage which isn't horrible but does shorten trips. Makes sense he would have more powerful fire though. He is a very high level dragon
Is it worth bringing a berserker ring, fire cape & d boots along with void melee helmet switch to get a better hit chance when using the bgs spec? I feel like my spec doesn't hit as often/high when just bringing the void melee helmet. Thanks in advance and great guide :)
It's not a bad idea to bring a couple items to add crush bonus for accuracy (making sure you're on crush when you use the BGS spec ofc) It might be better to bring a Tyrannical ring (i) than the Berserker ring (i) for extra accuracy, though with the BGS it's not only about landing the hit so it's up to you if you wanna try it out. The only downside is if you're running out of food quickly then you might want to bring less switches

Hey dak, would you reccomend investing into rigour? im about to hit my max cape, and one of my first goals i aim to do is farm the hell out of vorkath for the pet, as i wanna collect em all post max. I have everything else, the DHCB, the ward, the full elite void, pegs/salve/archers ring etc. I can buy it but im wondering where you rank it in value for this boss importance?
DPS is cut in half on any weapon in that phase, so whichever weapon is better normally would also be better in that phase (as long as you weren't late on any attacks) In this case that makes DHCB better. If there is another mechanic I don't know about that messes with his defense level during that phase than I could be wrong. Both are good options in general though
Healing with the blowpipe is helpful if you're quick. Though since you take off your shield, you should switch to mage to avoid some fire damage and not waste the heal which takes a little more effort, and opens you up for a ranged hit. Because of those things I stopped using bp heal. Bastion potion would be helpful for tanking ranged hits though, so if you're using the bp for the whole fight (or even on the bp switch, though it might not be worth it) then it could lengthen trips a little. Many times I find myself running out of invy space rather than food though since after like 6 kills you can't pick anything up even if you're out of food.
I don't know if you're still answering questions, but.. I don't have Elite Void. I'm a berserker, and I'm interested in trying the fight. When I'm maxed, I'll be 99 combat, so Elite Void is out of the question. Should I bring regular void? Or should I bring Dhide? Edit: Regular void is available to me, so is Salve Amulet (ei) and Dragon Hunter Crossbow.
I have dhcbow with twisted buckler and super extended anti-fires and reg void. I don’t want to grind out elite but want to farm vorkath, is it necessary?
Another good method of travel is tele to house, use pool. Then portal tele to lunar isle and bank there and talk to a banker that will kick you out so you're in rellekka
I do switch to diamond at 33% health as mentioned here: 3:21 If there are any clips in here with me fighting him with the wrong bolt switch, that's because I was more focused on showing you his attacks during these examples.

I'm still debating on which overhead to use more, Mage or range? because another guide I saw was using Mage and yours used ranged but it's kinda hard for me to get a kill especially w the rapid fire attack. If you use a blowpipe you should protect mage* so you can fully protect from dragonfire If you have a crossbow or 1 handed weapon of any kind you can bring the shield to give full protection, so you should use protect from ranged since he uses it more often than mage and it hits harder 5:35

God dhide is a good option. You'll always take a lot of damage from ranged attacks, until you can use DHCB instead of a blowpipe, which will allow you to protect ranged instead. You'll then be taking a lot of mage damage, but it will be less than the ranged hits
When he drops to about 1/3 health I mention it here 3:21 Though I definitely payed to much attention to talking through Vorkath's attacks in the example kill, and I didn't switch my bolts. My mistake
If my bgs spec misses would it be preferred if i just tele'd to my house to get my spec back and retry? I have 99 construction so wasting tabs isn't an issue.
So I'm using the blowpipe method, not elite void, but everything else is maxed gear. 75 Def, 93 ranged but I find I can't get more than one kill per trip because his ranged attack is absolutely demolishing me. Any tips?
Get elite void for more DPS and prayer so you can swap prayer pots/super restores for food. Do you have rigour? Makes a huge difference. Try bastion potions instead of ranging if you're not already. Are you using bgs spec at the start? I'm same def, 80 range with dhcb, rigour, Dragonfire ward, salve ei, Archer ring i, accumulator until vorkath gives me head, arma legs, rest blessed dhide, barrows gloves and I've been managing 3 kill trips with 3 prayer pots and fewer than 19 sharks. I've frequently had to drop sharks on the third kill to get loot. Also I've been inadvertently using sapphire bolts instead of ruby so I'm gonna have to see how much faster I can do it next time.
I'm confused about protecting against vorkaths fire, it says super anti fire doesnt fully protect against vorkath so im assuming that means I should use anti dragon shield over a twisted buckler right? So what is the point of using a super over regular anti fire?
With regular anti fire and the shield you also don't fully protect (same as if you only used a super anti fire). Think of anti fire potions being +1 dragon fire protection, shields being +1 antifire protection, and super antifires being +2 protection. You need +3 protection to fully protect from Vorkath
It's about the same kills/hr at max pace. The benefit of melee is not spending money on ammo though, so max str + lance will result in more money/hr in the long run
Dragon warhammer isnt necessary, if you can't afford it use a Bandos Godsword, that's not neccessary either but it helps. Normal void will work just fine.
BGS tends to be a better option and it's cheaper. Regular void will work, but I highly suggest finishing up your elite void, Unless you're stuck on something like that Zulrah kil.
I can't tell where you're going slow by just what you've typed here. Woox walk would help first of all, but without watching you how can I tell where you're going slow? A screenshot of gear and invy would help at least
Yo idk if you still answer questions, but I tried this with dragon cbow with the same bolts as you. Elite void, archer i and salve ei. The kill time was very slow. It got even upto 6 minutes! Then I tried with bp and it kept hitting me with ranged. Couldnt even get two kills per inv with this. Am i doing something wrong? Kc is 104. 92 range and 90 def.
Dragon Crossbow? Or Dragon Hunter Crossbow? Dragon Hunter Crossbow - 30% boost to ranged str and accuracy - costs 170m Dragon Crossbow - Sits between Rune Crossbow and Arma Crossbow - Costs ~9m The expensive cbow is the one that'll speed up kills.
If you're going to spend a lot of time at Vorkath I would suggest getting that elite void. I don't know the exact DPS at each level for regular void, but since it stacks with your salve amulet I am assuming at high ranged (95+ maybe) regular void would still be a better option here.

Addy. If you have a assemlber already Dragon darts aren't bad, but I really only recommend maybe when you're learning. That way the extra damage will make up for any mistakes you make along the way. In the long run they're a little pricy to use on the entire fight though

Just a tip you can leave your run energy off and when you need to run away just press ctrl and then click. It will run if you do that.

I go to slayermusiq for the quest guide and always to the edboys to learn how to farm the boss from quest. Excellent guide boys!

can save an inv slot if you use poh portal to Waterbirth then just travel to Rellekka, slightly faster than having poh in Rellekka too^^

By far better then the other guides I've watched. Wish you would of mentioned that the Super anti-fire is required (think you said to use it but not as to why) as the regular anti-fire doesn't work on vorkath. I actually looked it up no wonder I was taking so much damage.... still was getting 2 kills a trip somehow. lol

@@TheEdB0ys Personally it would be nice to know why super antifires are important and how you need three layers of dragonfire protection. Super antifire counts as 2 and the antifire shields count as one. With blowpipe you get two from the super antifire and one from mage protect. For those out there who are curious. Really a great guide! A ton of respect for the work you put into. Thanks.
@@cameronnelson213 It is just one of Vorkath's mechanics that you need the 3 levels of protection. With 2 you take some damage which isn't horrible but does shorten trips. Makes sense he would have more powerful fire though. He is a very high level dragon
Is it worth bringing a berserker ring, fire cape & d boots along with void melee helmet switch to get a better hit chance when using the bgs spec? I feel like my spec doesn't hit as often/high when just bringing the void melee helmet. Thanks in advance and great guide :)
It's not a bad idea to bring a couple items to add crush bonus for accuracy (making sure you're on crush when you use the BGS spec ofc)
It might be better to bring a Tyrannical ring (i) than the Berserker ring (i) for extra accuracy, though with the BGS it's not only about landing the hit so it's up to you if you wanna try it out.
The only downside is if you're running out of food quickly then you might want to bring less switches
For some reason I thought he had more special attacks after Dragon Slayer 2. Very happy to learn that he actually us only a bit tougher

You can use dcb if you can't blowpipe or dhcb. I typically get 2 kills per trip with dcb so it's pretty neat

Hey dak, would you reccomend investing into rigour? im about to hit my max cape, and one of my first goals i aim to do is farm the hell out of vorkath for the pet, as i wanna collect em all post max. I have everything else, the DHCB, the ward, the full elite void, pegs/salve/archers ring etc. I can buy it but im wondering where you rank it in value for this boss importance?
Rigour is one of the most OP things in game...I would recommend getting it before grinding Vorkath
I would 100% recommend investing in Rigour. Very very worth it, and not just for Vorkath. It will make a difference in your profit at Vorkath though

Great video ty for explaining the woox walk for both bp and dhcb, i was wondering which one it's better for dps in acid phase?
DPS is cut in half on any weapon in that phase, so whichever weapon is better normally would also be better in that phase (as long as you weren't late on any attacks)
In this case that makes DHCB better. If there is another mechanic I don't know about that messes with his defense level during that phase than I could be wrong. Both are good options in general though

Hey would you reccomend blowpiping for free hp back ? Also thoughts on using a bastion potion instead of ranging? id imagine its not worth it.
Healing with the blowpipe is helpful if you're quick. Though since you take off your shield, you should switch to mage to avoid some fire damage and not waste the heal which takes a little more effort, and opens you up for a ranged hit. Because of those things I stopped using bp heal.
Bastion potion would be helpful for tanking ranged hits though, so if you're using the bp for the whole fight (or even on the bp switch, though it might not be worth it) then it could lengthen trips a little. Many times I find myself running out of invy space rather than food though since after like 6 kills you can't pick anything up even if you're out of food.

No it's better to use void and salve even on task since they stack.

I don't know if you're still answering questions, but.. I don't have Elite Void. I'm a berserker, and I'm interested in trying the fight. When I'm maxed, I'll be 99 combat, so Elite Void is out of the question. Should I bring regular void? Or should I bring Dhide? Edit: Regular void is available to me, so is Salve Amulet (ei) and Dragon Hunter Crossbow.

Another good method of travel is tele to house, use pool. Then portal tele to lunar isle and bank there and talk to a banker that will kick you out so you're in rellekka

Sorry for the late reply. Vorkath will have more health but the fight is the same as the quest fight otherwise
if your 99 con you can use cape to teleport to rellekka house portal and run from there
Try full crystal and a bowfa for vorkie it really slaps.
If you’re on a task or something but honestly I’d still say it’s highly profitable
im not using dragon bolts, is it worth to pay so much more for slightly faster kills
You can also use your PoH to teleport to Waterbirth Island to get there faster if you have one.

I'm still debating on which overhead to use more, Mage or range? because another guide I saw was using Mage and yours used ranged but it's kinda hard for me to get a kill especially w the rapid fire attack. If you use a blowpipe you should protect mage* so you can fully protect from dragonfire
If you have a crossbow or 1 handed weapon of any kind you can bring the shield to give full protection, so you should use protect from ranged since he uses it more often than mage and it hits harder

This is true. I wish it would also make you walk if you ctrl click while your run is on. I'd find that a lot more helpful then being on default walk

God dhide is a good option. You'll always take a lot of damage from ranged attacks, until you can use DHCB instead of a blowpipe, which will allow you to protect ranged instead. You'll then be taking a lot of mage damage, but it will be less than the ranged hits

If you miss specs I would stay and get the kill. The time to go get new specs it likely longer than the time saved if you landed a spec.

75+ for the requirement is fine. Obvisouly the higher the better for actually doing damage, but it's not insanely important

Get elite void for more DPS and prayer so you can swap prayer pots/super restores for food. Do you have rigour? Makes a huge difference. Try bastion potions instead of ranging if you're not already. Are you using bgs spec at the start?
I'm same def, 80 range with dhcb, rigour, Dragonfire ward, salve ei, Archer ring i, accumulator until vorkath gives me head, arma legs, rest blessed dhide, barrows gloves and I've been managing 3 kill trips with 3 prayer pots and fewer than 19 sharks. I've frequently had to drop sharks on the third kill to get loot. Also I've been inadvertently using sapphire bolts instead of ruby so I'm gonna have to see how much faster I can do it next time.

It's an assembler attached to a max cape. It's the same as an assembler all around, just cosmetic

I'm confused about protecting against vorkaths fire, it says super anti fire doesnt fully protect against vorkath so im assuming that means I should use anti dragon shield over a twisted buckler right? So what is the point of using a super over regular anti fire?
With regular anti fire and the shield you also don't fully protect (same as if you only used a super anti fire).
Think of anti fire potions being +1 dragon fire protection, shields being +1 antifire protection, and super antifires being +2 protection.
You need +3 protection to fully protect from Vorkath
How does max str and Lance compare? I've done 50 kills that way and it seems great, haven't tried range yet.
It's about the same kills/hr at max pace. The benefit of melee is not spending money on ammo though, so max str + lance will result in more money/hr in the long run

pro tip dust runes are cheap af and u shud have a shit ton from dust devils, bring those + law runes in rune pouch for home tp and crumble

Dragon warhammer isnt necessary, if you can't afford it use a Bandos Godsword, that's not neccessary either but it helps. Normal void will work just fine.
BGS tends to be a better option and it's cheaper. Regular void will work, but I highly suggest finishing up your elite void, Unless you're stuck on something like that Zulrah kil.

I got bis vork gear with rigour, but i keep getting avarage 2,5 to 3 min kills. I do not woox walk though. Any tips on how i can speed up my kills?
I can't tell where you're going slow by just what you've typed here. Woox walk would help first of all, but without watching you how can I tell where you're going slow? A screenshot of gear and invy would help at least
Yo idk if you still answer questions, but I tried this with dragon cbow with the same bolts as you. Elite void, archer i and salve ei. The kill time was very slow. It got even upto 6 minutes! Then I tried with bp and it kept hitting me with ranged. Couldnt even get two kills per inv with this. Am i doing something wrong? Kc is 104. 92 range and 90 def.

Dragon Hunter Crossbow - 30% boost to ranged str and accuracy - costs 170m
Dragon Crossbow - Sits between Rune Crossbow and Arma Crossbow - Costs ~9m
The expensive cbow is the one that'll speed up kills.

If you're going to spend a lot of time at Vorkath I would suggest getting that elite void.
I don't know the exact DPS at each level for regular void, but since it stacks with your salve amulet I am assuming at high ranged (95+ maybe) regular void would still be a better option here.

Addy. If you have a assemlber already Dragon darts aren't bad, but I really only recommend maybe when you're learning. That way the extra damage will make up for any mistakes you make along the way. In the long run they're a little pricy to use on the entire fight though
