Another good tele is using Lunar Isle and banking there, then using the other bank booth to get kicked back to Releka. Lands you in the same spot as fremmy boots
Yeah this is definitely the best way if you don’t have fremmy boots
Even with the elites done they got a teleport orb now to put you same spot or very very close to same spot i use it with frem elites done

Something that helped me learn Woox walking on melee, instead of basing it off of ticks, I base it off my character animation. When your character brings the lance backward before poking Vorkath, click behind you (south) and you still do damage while taking none. Then when your character starts to turn around to walk south is when you click Vorkath again to attack, then rinse and repeat.
Gonna be trying it for the first time today and I'll try to keep in mind what you said here. Thanks for the advice, friend!
I feel like this is a bit tougher than actually counting ticks, since you almost have to predict when your character is going to attack or turn around. I think it's easier just to click every 2 fireballs.

TheEdB0ys My favorite teleport option; Tele to POH, use pool, portal/nexus to lunar isle. bank at 'Birds-Eye' Jack in lunar isle bank without seal of passage, talk to the net square over teller who boots you off the isle really close to the vorkath boat. Comparable to boots in time to do.

For the acid attack you can use Runelite's tile indicators to see what tile your on server side. It's an easier way to see the animation lag.
All good for desktop players not us on touchscreen phones...we don't get RL plugins -_-
I like bringing a 2 dose of the divine super combat and extended super antifire. One dose usually lasts me two kills, and I never do more than 4 kills a trip to minimize the amount of loot I have to leave on the ground. Two doses frees up those two inventory spots. Also, in runelite's tile indicators plugin, you can have the game highlight your true tile which helps with the woox walk and you can now get kicked off the lunar isle even if you have the elite diary done with an orb thats in the bank (just east of the door I believe).

if you’re using runelite, you can enable true tile in the plugins and it’ll show you where your character’s position actually is, effectively cancelling animation lag and also ping lag if you’re in a high ping world.
yep because the osrs engine is crap and using the old outdated tick system that was removed / fixed in eoc. but the players didn't want to play eoc so jagex gave in and re-released 2007 scape but then people wanted new features added so they kept adding crap onto the 2007 version of the game, except they didnt actually fix the old issues that version of runetek 3 had , where the lag is SO bad and ping lag added onto it makes the game borderline unplayable. but to add insult to injury they added "Raids" which requires people from different regions of the world to play on a server together, where some of you have a decent connection / response but others dont. and then try and force cooperative play on this crappy system. yeah no wonder the game is having issues. Oh and p.s the runelite plugin is a workaround to try and solve these issues.
For my teleport, I have a teleport nexus in my POH and set lunar isle to the right click teleport. So house teleport>pool (to rejuvenate)>nexus right above pool>nexus to lunar isle>bank>talk to different banker to teleport to docks near vorkath.
If you bank at the furthest east bank desk on lunar isle you can bank WITHOUT seal of passage. I found this a very easy and convenient way to bank and heal between between trips, maybe worth a mention (~1700kc).
Great guide man. I gotta say, I prefer this melee woox walk over the "easier" version. For some reason, that always gets me killed. It's much easier to just click along with his fireballs.

woox walking with melee can be a lot easier than with blowpipe if you walk two steps back, so you click two steps back, wait a tick, click back on vork, wait a tick repeat. you can use the visual cue of clicking away when you see attack animation and clicking on vork when you see your head turning around. Much easier imo although it does require more space without acid.
I also just tank his melee hits because its more afk
nice guide, also you can teleport to rellekka with a enchanted lyre (i) if you dont want to use nmz points on scrolls :D

What I like to do is take 2-3 angler fish with me so that I can boost my hp before and in between kills instead of dropping food. Really solid video though

Tbh i tried vorkath whit best in slot range gear and i hate it i was killed quite a lot whit the one shoot bomb, i just tried melee and i fell in love, omg i find it easier to avoid all the specials plus i even started to learn woox walk a few kills later!!! This guide is op op op and i realized that melee is for me x.D
Melee is more satisfying for sure. It makes you more money per hour, and its less likely to burn you out than range. What's not to like?
Just ctrl+click to run away from fireballs, and you dont have to worry about turning your run off and on.

worth to know... i just bought bandos tassets over my obby legs but it lowered my magic offense so u start splashing with crumble undead make sure to have both bandos items to attempt it..
The way I tele there is use my Poh to tele to Waterbirth island then take boat right at spawn to be right next to Vorkath boat. Second fastest tele. Boots being #1
i noticed on a couple of vids now that you claim to link something in the description but you don't :-/ where is the loottable?
IMPORTANT: Check your magic bonus. Justicar Leggards and fighter torso gave me -78 which makes the crumble undead spell always splash
This. I was splashing w/ full Justicar and I forgot about the negative magic bonus. I am using Obsidian legs and fighter's torso now and I am able to hit
Just some extra info I would like to add:
If you are maxed, have inferno cape and berserker ring (i), it is better to use justicar legs + bandos top instead of full bandos.
More protection, and it has the same max hit.
Always wondered about this. People say max hit is everything but I usually always run justic legs over tassets because of that insane defence value on one piece. I'm not maxed nor do I have max melee. But I still prefer justic legs 90% of the time I'm not praying.
Caleb Smith not praying? You should always be praying, with melee it should be mage, range with dhcb is range prayer
@@capekraken2672 tasks that domt really require praying though.i domt pray on any med lvl monster that ranges or melees because a few pieces of food is cheaper than pray pots. Some places dont need prayer at all 🤷♂️
Edit: I'd rather spend 5k on food than 20k+ on pots.
Caleb Smith yes but this is a vorkath guide. You should always use full bandos for anything else. I was referring to just specifically vorkath with that salve anmy and dragon hunter lance. I was curious because you said not praying, and since this was a comment on vorkath gear specifically. Always use full bandos, and yes you should bring sharks on med level monsters but if you are a high levels you shouldn’t touch med lvl monsters much

What attack style are you using with the lance? It looks like swipe. But I just got my lance and it could be pound? A bunch of non-video stuff online says vork is weak to stab, though? What should I use? Thank you for the video!
Stab is the way to go, all Dragons are weak to stab afaik.
Supposedly if you have the infernal cape, it’s better to use a brimstone ring instead of a berserker ring because of increased DPS

If true I presume this is because the extra 4 strength bonus dosent give a max hit so the extra accuracy and defence from the Brimmy ring makes it better?

True for the lance although you lose out on 4 max hit on the claw spec if you don't use the b ring
Yep. Max hit is the same regardless of whether you're using an infernal or fire cape (assuming you stay boosted to 118 and are using absolute BIS otherwise), so you can either use a brimstone ring or switch tassets to justiciar leggings. That way you can retain max hit without needing the max str bonus.
I might walk around back and forth without getting hit by the fire balls and maybe i will do just fine
What’s faster kills an hour? Dragon hunter xbow with elite void or your set up? And which one is easier?
Xbow is faster and more kills/hr but supply costs more, IMO melee is more chill
Yo random question. With the light bearer ring out now, would that be better than b ring(i) if using claws?
It would be close tbh. I lean sticking to Berserker ring (i) since claws aren't super accurate, it's nice to keep the max hit the whole fight, but lightbearer has to be a close second.

I could be wrong here but I remember I did the math a few months ago and it was generally cheaper on average to use serp helm instead of anti venoms
slayer+ torture is better dps then salve and face guard (by 0.5% to 1%) depending if you hit spec also brimstone ring is better in many set ups
only if you don't have max gear bud. Salve is god like Ash
he doesnt mention that if you use fighter torso instead of bandos you will always splash the crumble undead spell sonce you have too negative magic atk
idk if there been an update but i got -31 magic attack bonus but when i use crumble undead with slayer staff it always hit when i wear fighter torso

So question for someone who's learning vorkath the first time ( i have killed him for ds2 but i hear he's harder after u beat it.). Would you recommend trying to just focus on just on the outter edge to avoid the acid?
Yeah, as long as you're not on that outer edge right when he uses it, you'll have a guaranteed chunk of squares to walk back and fourth on.
So It's a good call to head to the entrance during that phase, and walking it out will be safer

He only has a -48 magic bonus in that gear with Slayer Staff equipped.

What style for the claw specs
There is no point in the salve (ei) since imbuing it only adds magic and range bonus right?
yes, salve (e) will do fine if youre using melee, (ei) is for all attack styles
So don’t use void for melee?
Dont you still splash scorpion with your armour wouldnt you be negative 65? Even with staff?

i’m using serp full bandos prims dragon hunter lance defender prims b ring and when i use ferocious gloves i need splashing i don’t need a mage swap in your inventory so why do i keep splashing? and also salve amulet ei
Are you using a slayer staff switch? That should be enough magic boost to not splash.

void is better for ranging him but max str gear is much better than void for meleeing him
Lance is freaking nasty, just got 30 kills today and am finally getting better at it. Still dying sometimes though, 😅
Even though it's sometimes slower than DHCB, it's soo much more satisfying to use. There's no better feeling than slapping him with constant 60s.

how do you shoot the spell without air runes on you?
As mentioned in the guide, there are dust runes in the pouch. They count as air runes and earth runes
i am suing full justicer and i keep missing the spells on the lil guy..
your mage atk bonus NEEDS to be higher than -64 or else you will splash crumble undead
bring a slayer staff and a mage switch like a piece of robe or something

Yes, you can get kills with that setup. But you mention pegs, which is a ranged boot. Don't wear pegasians while doing melee, as they have no melee bonuses.

@TheEdB0ys wow surprised for the answer on a video 1 year later. Yea I know I ment prims. I have max range with dhcb and get more kills with my melee bc I can't woox walk with dhcb but I can flawless with melee. My kills are a little slower but I get 4 an invy.

What weapon could I use if I only have 4m?
The Abyssal Dagger is the best stab weapon under 4m. You might be better off doing ranged Vorkath until you can afford a Zammy Hasta.
I'll be making a video going over a "Poor to Rich" set up for Melee Vorkath, showing different budgets and what not, but that'll prolly be out next week.

You can buy all of your stuff back for 100k.
how detrimental is it to not do the woox walk and just run for the acid?
It technically does make for slower kills. But minimally slower. Maybe 8-10 seconds per acid phase. This does add up a lot over a full night of grinding it

In my opinion it’s melee just cause you don’t use bolts and the bolts can cost
I’ve used both methods
Melee. They're about the same kills per hour, but you don't use ammo with melee so it's cheaper
Range is slightly higher kills/h, but the difference isn't enough to recoup bolt cost
@@joshgould2707 Exactly. You may get an extra kill per hour with range, but the ability to not have to use d bolts saves you around 3 kills worth of supply costs.
Rockin mid 90's combat stats with bandos, lance, serp help, dragon defender/boots, ferocious gloves, divine super combat, piety, and I can't even get 20 kills per hour lol wow
could lance be replaced by fang??
I haven't had a chance to try the fang out on Vorkath, it's likely solid DPS, but idk if it's set to be better than the lance here since the lance gets some thick bonuses

if only i could find gear that i could do good dmg in and not splash. tried using his exact setup and i spalsh every cast :( had to reduce to elite void melee and takes 2 long using that
I show the set up not splashing in this video. If you're splashing, you must not be using the exact same set up.. Are you switching to a slayer staff?

@@deathreaper9839 Better for the rest of the game yes, but for vork specifically it makes no difference. Honestly I have a seperate (e) and (ei) just so I can use the different colors to distinguish my range and melee setup.

@@deathreaper9839 I'd definitely recommend the ei over the e since the ei will give you a boost with all attack styles. But for melee only it doesn't make a difference.

You gotta use a slayer staff if you're using bandos and a serp helm. Neitiznot faceguard will put you just above the threshold to splash, so you don't need a staff in that case.
You really dont need to imbue the salve tho since youre using melee.

pff, not recommending with below 90s melee stats? I have over 1600 vork chops at ~88s and vorkath isn't that bad to train melee, right now I'm looking at this video since I haven't played this game in a year or so and forgot a lot and don't trust myself to be able to do it properly anymore.
Fight 1, died to the giant fire ball by walking into it after dodging it. Classic. At least my melee wooxing is still on point.
Attempt 2, 6kill trip no problem. I guess it's sort of like riding a bike.
So yeah my first two trips back came out to 11 kills and 1.32m gp. Gotta love the moneydragon. It is an interesting strategy to walk out of melee range during his attacks, I might try it, but in general food tends to be a lesser worry than inventory space.
Oh yeah, to everyone else: Don't be disheartened if your melee stats are only at 80, if you grind this boss a lot, they will go up and the experience with a dragon hunter lance isn't terrible.
I said 90+ and you hit me with the, pfft I'm ~88s and it isn't that bad. 2 levels under the recommended shouldn't be that bad don't you think.
You do gain xp while fighting Vorkath too. But you're better off going somewhere like nightmare zone and getting your stats up first, then using the money maker to make money, not to train. You don't have to, it's just recommended if you want to get the best rates out of it
It's not a bad point to get more stats first for more efficient farming later,
what I wanted to express with my comment though is that my combat stats even now are below 90s, after I've done quite a few over 1500 vorkath kills. But it has funded basically everything I own in OSRS and given me at least half of my total ombat xp.
The notion is that people shouldn't be discouraged to try it even if their stats are lower.
(edit: also I was just glad at the time of typing that comment that I still was able to take down vorkath at all, I expected having lost most of my feel for the controls, how the fight works, what game ticks are, since I didn't play in so long)
@@Alice_Fumo When recommending 90+ stats to grind the boss, the goal is not to discourage people, but to give them the info I'd like to have had when starting the grind.
GZs on your Vorkath kills
One TIP for newer vorkath slayers, there is NO reason to turn on run AT all in this fight. Firebomb can be dodged by walking. And like the guide says the 2 best times to heal are during the spawn phase AND the acid pool phase if you don't woox walk. Try to avoid eating during any other time unless your about to drop dead so minus 35 health or so and vorkath hits are infrequent if you got 90 defense even if you stand up close with melee.

A little bit of misinformation when it comes to using staves for crumple undead. I personally have never used them and have never splashed crumple undead on the spawn in 3.5k+ kills.
Its impossible to splash the attack actually 100% guaranteed kill
Key you splash on it if your magic bonus is under -65, do your research.
I went with -67 my first try. Splashed and had to tele out.
@@gracianoalvirde6277 I checked my gear stats and I'm running maxed gear with -60 so -64 must be the cutoff.
The ppl saying that they splash the spawn aren't using neitiznot faceguard most likely. Serp helm unfortunately puts them in the threshold to always splash on it.
