Thank you! Occasionally someone asks me why I show max gear in my vids when people with max gear don't need a guide. But I show a whole bunch of options, so that makes no sense 🤷♂️

Info at 9:40 is the only thing that's a little off on this otherwise spot on guide. When it comes to salve+faceguard vs torture+slayer helm, it depends on your stats and gear. Until you get some of the higher cost BIS gear, slayer helm+torture is better. However, if you actually run a dps calc using a base of full bandos, b ring, prims, ferocious gloces, and lance, the helm and neck used changes based on defender and cape. Fire cape and dragon defender will see slayer helm+torture as more dps on task, but when you upgrade to the avernic with that same setup, salve+faceguard will be more dps on task. Salve has a higher multiplier with lower base stats while the slayer helm setup is higher stats with lower multiplier. Once your stats from the rest of your gear hits a certain threshold, based on your combat stats, the salve is better on task. Once you can afford the highest level BIS gear, redo the dps calc and see if slayer helm is still better.

@@Trolleyduwer Every little thing adds up in this game. With a basic salve/faceguard vs slayer helm/toture setup at 95 att/str, you're saying 1.2 seconds on average per kill. That adds up quick when youre killing the boss hundreds or even thousands of times. That time gap increases as people have to downgrade gear aswell. Then factor in people taking longer to kill the boss as they learn it; over a longer duration, that dps increase becomes much more apparent. In a game where progress is measured per hour, and in game time is measured in days, even a tick per action saving is enough to make a big difference.
Loved the progression from poor to rich. Really want that lance, but having options beforehand are good to know. Thanks again

@@ic5544 You quite clearly didn't swatch the video. I teach you how to make enough money for a Lance w/ Vorkath. Maybe if you didn't skip to the Max Gear section you might see the other weapon choices..
@@TheEdB0ys btw with bis besides torva u wanna use brimstone right over b ring I since the max is 64 either way, but small dps boost with brimstone
Def worth mentioning with the 250m setup that using a brimstone ring is better with inf cape because b ring won't give a max hit. Inf cape+brim ring, fire cape+bers ring
20K vorkath kills here. Did them all with the POH method and dwh. I think dwh is worth mentioning here since if you land a hit it lowers the defense by 64.2 and the odds for you to hit that much on a bgs are quite slim. When it comes to calculating the dps on the 250M gear setup shown here, the dps of the faceguard and salve(ei) is 10.25. And with the slayer helmet and torture it is 10.22 so the difference is negligible but the faceguard and salve are still better on paper.
The DWH just doesn't hit often enough to be worth it IMO. Yes it lowers by a thick percent when it hits, but it squeaks a 0 too many times
Dwh is shit here unless youre sweaty and are bringing void mele switch for the accuracy. Damn bro if you teled to poh after every kill that sounds horrible specially for a boss like vorkath.

why do you use str slash on claw spec instead of stab?
How come you dont mention the dfs for the lower tier setups? Does dragon defender provide enough of an damage-per-second upgrade that it is preferable?
Some1 help me out. Can I do vorky consistent with 80 atk 96 str 75 def with full bandos dhl pegs avernic and serp ?
Great video! How do you find the gang compared to the Dragon hunter lance at vorkath?
Fang is solid on Vorkath. It won't set your PB like lance can, but it's still very consistent kills.
what about Justiciar ?
U dont have to step back with mele vorkath, that just if u wanna be sweaty but ive gotten consistent 5 to 7 kill trips just standing infront of him.
9:38 i remember hearing that nezzy faceguard and salve ammy are still better even when on task, not sure tho
Depends on your other gear. With fire cape and dragon defender, slayer helm + torture are better on task. Once you get either the avernic or infernal cape, salve+faceguard is better on task. (This assuming you're in bandos+prims). Just have to run a dps calc on your gear at your levels to see which is better. Ignore anyone saying one setup is always better. Those people are just wrong.
If I use ferocious gloves with the max setup swapping infernal for fire Cape I splash the spawn Alot is it because I'm using the enchanted slayer staff
No the enchanted staff has the same mage bonus as the regular does. You might need to bring an extra switch for mage bonus, but it's tough to tell from here. What's you're mage bonus at when you Equip your staff?
@@TheEdB0ys hey thanks for the reply and my magic bonus is - 48 using face guard, salve ie, bandos chest and tassets, prims, ferocious, avernic, berserker I, firecape and radas blessing
@@aaroncomben6042 As long as you're not hitting that -65 mage bonus, you shouldn't be splashing crumble undead on that spawn.
I unfortunately don't have a lot more info than that though I'm sorry. It shouldn't be splashing for you. You may need another mage switch to take off an item with negative mage defense, but I'm not 100% sure what the problem is

Hey @Edboys. I have dhl, serp, dragon defender, bandos tass & cp, dragon boots, fire cape, dragon defender. On a slayer task, is it better for me to use slayer helm or salve?

85+ Att & Str, but the higher the better ofc
Melee over range as ranging vorkath these days is getting more expensive and not worth the bolts being used etc.
If you’re killing vorkath why wouldn’t you use the myth cape with the mid set up?
Vorkath is weak to stab, and the Myth Cape has a good crush bonus. So it's not very helpful here
I know it's something I can save for but if I don't have D Claws for the max setup, what would the ideal spec weapon be?
bgs or dwh
dwh then bgs. The bgs is pretty inconsistent but great when it works.
@@Ken-sn7zi bgs is more accurate at vorkath then dwh alot of people use bgs over dwh here.
BGS is still your next best option
i know this vidoes a bit older but at the current time if i have a fang, should i still the lance or upgrade my defender/bcp
I'd say lance but I'm not sure to be honest. The percentage damage against dragons seems better but I could be wrong. Is it not updated on the wiki?
I know this comment is a bit old, but to anyone seeing this in the future, fang is basically just as good as dhl but it useful other places as well. I use fang + lightbearer ring and just spam fang specials (I dont even bother with bgs spec) and get consistent 2-2.5min kills and 4-6 kill trips

Could I get away with using the rapier
Kind of. It does less damage than the Lance and it costs more than the lance, so it's not a great option, but if it's all you had then it would be alright
@@TheEdB0ys debating on selling the rapier and getting a lance but I dunno I’m legit almost max combat and I’ve never killed vork lol
@@KMFlivin Give yourself 10-20 kills with the rapier before selling it off, so you can get an idea if you like the Vorkath fight enough to grind it a lot.
If you're willing to grind out the kills, then it's worth selling the Rapier for a DHL
@@TheEdB0ys I just want the head for assembler tbh I’m pretty bad, the account is a crab sitter basically for when I’m doing other stuff but I’ve managed 99 combat stats and terrible at bosses haha

Melee is almost always better money. Maxed ranged and melee will usually kill Vorkath at the same pace (barring your stats or any future updates) but you don't use dragon bolts with melee so you make more profit

Why not name all the items/Pots and those boots at the bottom of your meele inv? Why does NOBODY include the name of all the items. What's the point in naming SOME and not ALL? ffs third guide here and still wondering why people bring those boots
Primordial boots are the best boost in the game for melee damage, followed by dragon boots.
Why not just ask "Why do people bring those boots?" instead of writing a paragraph complaining about it. I say in the video "If you still have any questions let me know" like 5 times. And I meant it, just ask. I can't guarantee I answer all your questions in the video, but complaining about a missed point is a waste of your own time friend

2m per hour for mid gear is not that impressive. You might as well kill demonic gorillas for a chance of zenyte.
