ขอบคุณมากครับ~🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹 At visit in Thailand & Thank you to everyone who came to visit our New Year's Day. Thai people have a good splash of water and next year we are ready to welcome.
Why is Songkran called the Thai new year, but the chinese new year had to be renamed to Lunar New Year? As Songkran also follows the lunar calendar. Then Songkran should actually also be called a Lunar New Year. Why people only renaming the chinese new year, but not the Thai new year? That's hypocrite.
As Thais, we never mind celebrating festivals and culture. We join Christmas and New year, we admire Chinese New year, and now we are celebrating our traditional Thai new year 🇹🇭✌️💐
@@junebusbong1255 I never doubted that Thai respecting other cultures. I know Thai and Chinese have historically good relations together aswell and both respect each other. But the fact is that people been calling Chinese New Year as Lunar New year and nobody spoke against it. It's cultural appropriation. Chinese celebrate christmas too, but chinese are not religiously christians, so should China rename christmas into something else too? That would be silly too. I am not saying Thai are doing this. But the Thai New Year was just a good example for me to speak about it. Recently all over the world been trying to whitewash chinese new year. I am just trying to make people aware that is wrong. I have nothing against Thai personally, I wish you well, peace and Happy Thai New Year!
@@zhengjianyangben2016 dear friend, Chinese NY do follow lunar calendar, maybe that's why people call it lunar NY, whereas traditional Thai NY (Songkran) we always celebrate it on the exact dates in April every year, similar to when people have 25 of December and 1of January as for their special holidays??! 😊
@@junebusbong1255 Songkran does not follow the gregorian solar calendar, it follows the budhist calendar which is based on the Lunar calendar, so it should also be considered a Lunar New Year. Christmas (25th december) follows the solar calendar by the way, there is a difference.
Personally, I think that Thailand has the name instead Lunar already it’s called “Songkran” because the name Songkran comes from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘passing’ or ‘approaching’. If compared between “Chinese new year” and “Thai New year”. Chinese new year was renamed to Lunar New Year on the other hand Thai New Year was called Songkran intead.
