I'm Egyptian and I see this video was better than a lot of videos on the Internet talking about the harassment in the pyramids and the scammers. I don't know why some Egyptians are mad when someone talks about issues in tourism areas, if you want Egypt to be better you should talk more about these issues not hide it !. Keep going Alan and Shannon you are doing great and honest reviews. One small thing is that the great pyramids of Giza are the only wonder still standing of the seven ancient wonders, i think it's not fair to compare it with the modern wonders. But anyway you have done a great review for the pyramids

As an Egyptian, I wouldn't want you to call them scammers cuz then other people would get worried to visit Egypt while it has nothing to do with the actual experience, as long as you tell them NO, and they stop sooner or later. it's more like sale men, they are trying to make money in a tourism area. I'm glad you've been enjoying it anyways.

@@Alan_and_Shannon I can understand where you're coming from, but you're in a completely different part of the world, experiencing a different culture. Imagine if I came to your country, called it smelly and dirty, and said people shouldn't go there. That wouldn't make you happy, right? People aren't being aggressive; it's just that you might be too sensitive and soft about it. Please don't feel offended.

Giza is the most undeveloped and chaotic city in Egypt, as an Egyptian I cant stand walking inside such streets, too many animal pens, garbage problem, poor infrastructure, I don't know how the country can fix such a city after decades of neglect! it needs tons of money to change it, they're trying the recent years but with the current economy I think it will take some time!

Yeah man, it's winter. It's not really freezing, but do bring a jacket or something with you. It does feel freezing at night and in the morning, but good during the day, But do know that it gets extremely colder inside the house than outside as houses are built to release heat from the house. But you'll probably be in a hotel and not worry about that anyways.
I'm Egyptian and I just wear a tshirt and hoodie and I'm fine, but I've lived in Europe, so I can handle the cold better than most Egyptians.
But it will still get colder in December, January and February.
