Mizan Choudhury i think the passing (as explained by the comments) is due to them having to be scanned by a metal detector after their initial pat down so they had to since the card has a chip. It makes sense but it’s way too exaggerated.
I've never seen either of these movies, but the fact that the second isn't called "Now You Don't" says a lot about how much thought and effort went into them.

And b) I believe Dave told about learning some tricks in one of the interviews, or it could be in some of movie extras, I already don't remember, so can't give the links, sorry 😅

I get filled with such an intense, irrational rage when this scene comes up anywhere because of when it made the rounds on the internet a few years ago with everyone saying “this is the smartest movie scene in history.”

Mizan Choudhury i think the passing (as explained by the comments) is due to them having to be scanned by a metal detector after their initial pat down so they had to since the card has a chip. It makes sense but it’s way too exaggerated.

I've never seen either of these movies, but the fact that the second isn't called "Now You Don't" says a lot about how much thought and effort went into them.

when the first guy's upper body has already been searched then why does he throw it to the other one.
After being cleared they go through a metal detector, so if the person kept the card the metal detector would go off, so they had to keep passing it around

The first movie wasn't the great, but it knew it wasn't that great. The sequel still isn't that great but acts like it's the pinnacle of film
I just have a love for the first movie, I just really enjoy the first one, but the second one was a downgrade.
I really wished they’d actually learned the card tricks and passes. This would have made this scene legendary.
Actually Dave Franco made almost all his passes himself...aaaand that's it; yeah, I agree, everything afterwards was just as unreal as the movie demands 😅🙈

@@defectivepikachu4582 I believe you can feel yourself impressed, because a) it's not that hard to learn, I found several videos about this first card hiding movement, that's pretty simple, I learned it like in 2 hours au maximum (I still have some problems but that's because of the size of my hand which is clearly not enough in this case 😅) and one video of guys who recreated the whole passing thing.
And b) I believe Dave told about learning some tricks in one of the interviews, or it could be in some of movie extras, I already don't remember, so can't give the links, sorry 😅

But it's a movie, it's impossible to recreate in reality everything what we'll see in the film. Personally I was kinda disappointed with these "Atlas becoming rain water", "Jack becoming cards" and especially "The Horsmen becoming freaking souvenir banknotes literally in the air" things.
