- I've just set this Strat up (fret level & crown, shim the neck pocket, adjust trem, clean up jack socket, etc.) and as soon as I played it afterwards, it was obvious that these pieces of wood work together extremely well! I've played many Stratocasters, and owned a few; but this one rings - it's an excellent guitar, and a real find. The amp is a 1999 Laney LC30 II.

Great tone!
Good evening. Seems to be a lovely guitar. Sounded really good👏👌💯🎵🎶🎸. Very much enjoyed and a big 👍28.
PS! Have 20 Stratocasters by myself. All the best Olav
Thanks Olav! This one belongs to my cousin, who asked me to set it up for him. I own just one; a 2019 Squier CV 50s, which is good, but not as good as his! Many years ago I owned a 1979 Strat, but sold that when I found that I preferred Telecasters. Of course, I then needed a trem, which was when I bought the CV. Do you play all 20 of your Strats, or do you find that some of them are better than the others, and gravitate to them?
@@1man1guitarletsgo Hello again.
I am not a good guitarist, so I am not very qualified to say something bombastic. But I am an guitar entusiast.
I usually play on 2-3 of them, but tune up and adjust most of them regularly.
My guitars have different combinations of wood, hardware, and electronics. In my opinion the tone and sustain depend very much of the wood and the tremolo bridge. Most important, I think, is the neck. I don't like to use very heavy guitars, so I prefer daily use of the light weight guitars. I have some guitars there is light weight and still have good sustain/tone. If you have opinions/experience, please let me know. Best regards Olav
Beautiful tone
Great guitar and great playing 👍🏆.
The best one i played is my Fender Player Stratocaster. then i tried 4 Telecasters, 3 from Fender, 1 from Squier Affinity series, and believe me i choose the Squier over the 3 Fender Player, Fender Vintage and Fender Pro series! So yeah Squier can be both the cheaper guitar, and sometimes, but not always, the better too!
I love Fender, i've had a 1999 Squier Strat when i was young, and Squier have really come a long way, not that it was anything wrong with the Squier from 1999, but that particular one did not overgo any strat, but the Squier Aff Tele... i promise you, I wanted an Americal pro first, then tried it ( found it chunky over the neck ) tried the vintage which i didnt like the tuners on, tried the Mexican, almost sure i was going for that but then i felt that the Affinity Telecaster resemblances the Telecaster sound i remembered from when i was young, it had the punch, it was all up in my face... i just loved it, so yeah.. sometimes expensive is not better!
those are ceramic pickups for you!
Affinity is garbage ! Classic vibe ,pretty good !

@@egSmith-sp9gl Not in my opinion after i have tried 4 different Telecasters. Squier affinity came out best!
That's "A FIND."
