Also guys remember when installing any of these units anything that's in Chinese or another language you can take a picture of it and have Google translate it back into english. They had 4 plugs on my unit i was able to read and I knew I didn't need to use those plugs that wasn't for my model car

I used the android radio instead of the factory radio. So plug the antenna into the top antenna connection (you will need to buy a toyota/lexus antenna adapter) The android radio has better reception than the stock one fsr. Only issue that I found on my unit was that theres no AM band.

Hey, I have a 2010 is350c with the factory navigation screen. Did you have too buy a conversation for the wires or was it plug and play for you? Also did you have the screen on your factory stereo or just the aux and fm?
@@OsDoescods i had the factory screen, the regular wire harness thats came dint work at all, i had to pay an extra 60$ (including shipping) for the seller to send me a different harness, also im not sure if its gonna be ur case , but i blew fuses like 3 times trying to install it, so its just better to unplug the battery while installing(thats what i did)

i really appreciate the install video but i was wondering about the subwoofer connections. i notice theres only one plug for the subwoofer when theres usually two connections that go towards the amp and i was wondering if you know where the other one plugs into. thank you!

Does your AC vent look flush with the radio?
@@djvyno_tynto no it doesn't, I even got a 2010 vent & it's still not flush on the bottom, sticks out a lil on the side at bottom, I'm still trying to figure out wut I'm going to do, I think it has to do with where the vents meet the inside tubes that the vents slide into, I'll let you know what I come up with, or if you figure it out B4 me, let me know👍
@@markt.shooter3569 have been able to get the Android and had to buy the 2009 vent, it didn’t flush at first but then I cut the back abit and they sit flush now..
I cut it short and it sit pretty good now
@@djvyno_tynto thanx for the info on the 08 Lexus is250 vent cut out, I'll try it, fits flush on top vent, but mines sticks out a lil on side at bottom, but imma give it a go, do you mean you cut the tubes on the 09 vents itself, & did you cut on the bottom of the vent tubes
@@markt.shooter3569yes I cut the tubes to get them shorter.. I didn’t touch the sides or frame.
Just cut the tubes abit from behind both tubes, it will sit pretty flush.
Mine also sticks out from both side and down when I first got the vent, but after trimming the tubes they sits pretty good.. seem the 09 vent up is a tad longer I don’t know but cutting them solves the problem.
Did the wifi and bluetooth work automatically or did you have to wire something to the 2 wires on the video input plug? Also, did you use factory camera or have to install the one it came with?
I am having trouble getting the clips off from behind the radio, is there anyway you could help show you removed those?
I bought one of these but I can't seem to find my factory setting in any settings menu that prompts for a password. Currently I have the base model IS350 and I can't seem to get the heater and ac vents on the touchscreen to work. Also tuner on bottom radio or volume wont show when using the factory bottom radio

You have to connect it to Bluetooth first then you click on the app and it should load wireless Apple CarPlay
Hey bro everything works fine after installing by watching your video thanks for it only problem I have is that sygic gps has no voice but Google maps do. I checked text to speech in settings and it's greyed out. Sygic voice worked first time after installing and now it doesn't.
Strange to be quite honest I don’t use those. Try checking if they are any updates available or do a hard reset on the radio
The Low/High config is probably for IS models with the screen or without. I have a base model and I didn't need to adjust anything (prob cause it defaults to low)
Is yours capable of actually charging your phone while using AA/Carplay? I found my battery still drains veryyyy slowly :p
I don’t use them. I mainly just use wireless car play. And that’s good that you didn’t have to do anything for your ac !
Does the oem reverse camera work?
Hey man, i did the install, i am facing a couple issues.
1 - the rear right speaker, it feels like just the tweeter is working, rest all are doors good, idk if it was busted before or not.. could it be a wire issue??
2 - not sure if the rear defogger is working or not, the rear view mirrors are hot but the rear window isnt hot as such..is the wire for both of them same?
3 - bit of static around 35+ from the volume know, I think thats normal, but thinking of adding a high low convertor maybe ?? Not sure if it would help
4 - couldn’t get the reverse cam to work, i have it plugged in to the video out cable on the screen, i tried with all yellow cables, it worked on the fcam
In the tv app but not on reverse, as u said i changed it to ntsc as well, im thinking of changing the camera now, the seller has sent it along the screen
If you use an aftermarket reverse camera, you need to tap the brown wire on the black connector on the back of this radio. Its the 3rd wire on the top row of the black connector. Dont cut the brown wire, just tap it and connect that wire to the aftermarket reverse camera. The brown wire tells the radio that your aftermarket reverse camera is receiving voltage from the reverse lights.

Im having trouble connecting my OEM camera to the radio. Everytime I put into reverse, i just get a black screen. My OBD connection is established and the NTSC toggle is on. I contacted the seller and they said to use their own yellow camera.... Did you end up using their supplied camera?

Hmmm that’s odd I would recheck the radio harness and maker everything is plugged in correctly.

Hi, do you have any issues with your reverse camera? I just got a similar head unit for my 07 is250, my wiring looks similar to yours, especially the camera wiring is identical (I assume you are using the factory/original camera like me). But when I put the car in reverse, it said no signal (for the camera screen) and just showed the parking sensor. I checked my wiring multiple times and I'm pretty sure I did the right connection for the harness. Tried to search for it on Google they said to change the camera format in the setting but no luck so far. Anyway, really appreciate your video, it made my life much easier :)
Here are something’s you can try.
1. Make sure you plug in the cable that’s connects to the obd2 port this is how the car gives signal to the radio for back up camera.
2.go to your setting and switch it to NTSC
3. If the obd2 is connected the reverse cameras setting are ntsc then put the car in reverse and mess around with the cables and see if you get an image. There might be something lose. That’s what happened to me and the seller gave me new cables.

Hi, thanks for your response! yes, I have tried all the options as you said and had the obd2 plugged in but nothing show up on the camera screen, except for the "no signal" word. For the setting, my unit has some formats and I tried all of them including the "CVBS-NTSC". Mine does not have the "NTSC" standalone, do you think that is the issue?
@@KhanhNguyen-hh3jn that could be it. On my unit the ntsc is by its self. There some others that you can try but you are going to have to connect it to your wifi. I am making a video about issues like this so stay posted I will upload it hopefully by Saturday or Sunday the latest
I just found out that the seller’s yellow camera cable connecting to the factory harness (the one you’re holding at 19:43 ), in my case, does not have any wires in that area of the factory connector. Rather, that set of OEM wires is split into 3 wire harnesses (the large white terminal similar to yours 19:43 and 2 smaller blue terminals, can’t post pictures here). I think one of them, the blue connectors, should be the rear camera wires. Do you have a clear picture of the your white OEM connector or any wiring diagram by any chance? Maybe I’ll need to do wire splicing in this situation, but don’t know which wire exactly 😂
@@KhanhNguyen-hh3jn unfortunately I don’t. I’m surprised that the aftermarket harness does not have the video chord in it. I would suggest to contact the seller and see if they can help you out

What is the reason you selected high? Has this to do with s certain model? My is is from 2006. What model is yours?
Leave it on low and it’ll probably work, also do the updates, and make sure the OBD2 connector is connected to the car
Question, i have a single subwoofer at the back and amp. Would i be able to connect it to those RCA’s
If an aftermarket amp, yes, you will be able to connect the amp via the RCAs.
Hello bro thanks for posting the video, followed you all the way through and installed on my 07 is350 as well. Are you planning to use any screen protectors or keep it as it is? Also please can u post another video of installing a newer style vent too :)
Awesome I’m glad this video helped you out. Sure I’ll do an install video with the vent. I think I’m going to leave it as is. I don’t think they sell screen protectors but I’ll keep an eye out if I do find one. I would recommend an anti glare one if you do find. But so far screen looks good with no scratches.
How did you remove the clips from the back of the factory headunit that is connected to the car? There are these black clips that I can’t figure out how to remove

hey did you find out if it did or were you just asking? i ordered an aftermarket radio similar to this one before i even bought my lexus but i saw a lot of people saying the lexus with the NAV doesn’t really have a plug n play screen. i have a 2010 with nav so i’m curious
When you make a new video, can you show us a few things?
1- How to use the gps without connecting it to your phone.
2- How to connect to the internet/wifi
3- How to stop the ac controls from randomly popping up.
4- How to update the software
5- How to change the speedometer on the head unit from km/h to mph.

@@MrLEPARKER it’s a good unit but it does have some minors issues that you may have to deal with but that’s with any aftermarket unit. But yeah I love mine so far
I just installed my unit the only problem is my back camera won't work. You said it needs to be connected to OBD port so the backup camera will work. Is it safe to plug the wire harness into OBD port?
Yes. Just connected mine has been fine so far.
What about the ac controls the buttons do they work ?

You might need to get a cd player for it to work. All of the connections are keyed so there is no way you can mess this up. You just need to be patient and take your time.

I’m trying to install one right now on my 09 IS but the screen isn’t powering on.. the emergency button works, the anti theft light works, but the screen is still black
I would recheck the wiring and also where it connects to the radio make sure everything is properly seated

Yes it will still work. You just have to go to reverse settings and put it as NTSC and it will work.

@@todabag0395 unfortunately the unit won’t work for you as a whole. I know there are some android units that do support mark levison but unfortunately this one won’t

I heard the 4g is pretty solid I have the 6gb on it’s solid. Im sure you can add a sub it does have ports for it

@@fujimori17 there is a little black box. Make sure the connection is fully seated there. That’s the tpms module

You have to buy it separately from what I know. Mine did not come with one. You can by them from any vendor that sells tpms as long as it works with the android radio. All you going to to have to is go to is go the android file system and install the apk I installed a dash came my post a video on how to do it.

@@carlosmanso7777 no it’s not. That’s one thing I miss with the older one. Where the airbag used to be it has writing saying passenger and it flashing when ever the passenger isn’t wearing a seat belt

Yes it will work. The only car that it won’t work in is the mark levison from what I’ve been told.

I would not recommend it if you want to use wireless CarPlay..it will be too laggy

Do you have the obd2 connected to it? And as far as the hazard going off I’m not sure. Dumb question but have you tried maybe try pushing the hazard button to see if it stops? I would re check the wiring

Yes the back up camera works on mine. As far as audio dropping I haven’t only when it’s in Apple CarPlay and I have Waze running at the same time but even then it’s rare. Did you get the lower ram unit
I got my camera to work, my Audio still cuts out, it’s weird, I got the highest ram unit, or so what I ordered
@@MrFunBanana there is a reset button near the screen have you tried hitting that and see if it helps?
I think I fixed it, I unplugged one of the factory connections on the very bottom of the existing radio and it works fine now, weird but it works, also my hazards don’t work still but so far camera and audio works perfect
