I don't know about carplay but Android Auto was doing the same for me. I thought it was my VPN on my phone but I learned that you must have the following settings turned on. PHONE: Wifi; Bluetooth; & Location... RADIO: Bluetooth & location. Wifi needs to be turned off on radio. You may also need to go into Tlink settings (3 dots) and set the setting to "Link mode", not Mirror mode. Afterwards, restart your phone and radio.
How do you get the Wi-Fi signal when driving? Also how do you get more apps from your iPhone on it,I only have very basic ones that come up on the head unit? Thanks in advance
Original will fit but wont be perfectly flush with the older 06-08 models with the aftermarket head unit. 2009+ vents will fit more flush with the aftermarket head unit shown.
They will clip back in but you'll have a pretty big gap between the top of the headunit and the vent since the 06-09 vents protrude out more than the new vents. So id just get the 09> vents if you have the pre facelift IS.
Your new unit looks real good.… Question: how did you determine you had a faulty wiring harness? I’m having multi issues with my new unit but not sure how I’d determine if the wiring harness is the issue. (My climate control not working is the biggest issue 🥵🥶)
@@theunstoppabledriver6978 no my back up camera kept cutting out. Soo I would move the wires and the connections would come back that’s how I found out. But just double check your wiring connection. It’s a pain in the ahhh to connect it. Use google translate if that helps

I actually got all the functions working last night🙌🏻… ironically an overload of some TH-cam vids played against me, saying things like the obd connection was unnecessary (which played to logic since it had nothing to do with the oem unit, as far as plugs connecting to it) … but every single Android unit vid I have seen is a dif unit … turns out it was 100 % necessary with mine. The ac stuff turns out I just screwed up with missing a couple connections with the crazy amount of wires and harnesses… many of which are included unnecessarily except that it’s clear how many different cars they manufacture these for & program the software for after the fact. Mine also has brackets that I couldn’t find any way to attach. It’s a really light screen so hoping it holds up just being fit in between the vents & oem cd radio … which is a tight fit. Anyhow thanks for the follow ups.

Yeah the good thing about this unit is the pros overcome the cons. The unit is awesome and there is so many features and things you can do with it. If I were to make a video about every feature I would have 2 hour video !

After doing so my music pauses every 60 seconds for about 15 seconds and resumes. It doesn’t matter if I’m listening to the radio or what not. Hoping you’ve dealt with this and it’s a easier fix then I assume

You might have to update your unit. Or you can go Chrome through the browser and search the APK version of the software you want for example if you Netflix you need to search Netflix apk and just download it and it should install after downloading
I have issues with the right buttons. You told that the seller changed the harnas. What where the issues? I have the right buttons and temp buttons not working
The issue with mines was the reverse camera not coming on. I would mess with the temp setting on the unit. Also you might have to have the air running before adjusting 🤷♂️
When i got mine back in 2022, my drivers side temp down button didnt work. I lived with it for a year and ended up reinstalling my factory radio. After i removed the radio, i looked on the back and i noticed that one of the resistors had a broken soldering joint. The resistor is so tiny that when i went to reposition it to resolder it, the resistor went flying and i never found it. I bought a small roll of 420 resistors for like $6 on Amazon that were rated the same as the factory resistor. They were physically larger but they still fit. It fixed my temperature down button so i reinstalled the Android head unit again.

@@flukedracing7150 my amp died. And you either have to get the OEM to replace it or if you do get a new amp you have to replace the head unit because the factory won’t work with a aftermarket amp. That head unit looks like a good alternative.
Left side of the EQ is always for bass. Lowest frequencies audible to the human ear is around 80 hz. Middle of the EQ is for mids or vocals. Right side of the EQ is for high frequencies and tweeters. I personally like an EQ with a W shape

I used the provided obdd2 cable and the harnesses… is connected the yellow cable and it worked for me

It should. It had extra plugs for then

You have to click on the tlink but I’m sure you can have it auto start to it
