- I've had so many subscriber requests to share with you all how I cut my tag angles and how I made the little gadget I use to make my tag corners uniform. I hope this video will answer all of the comments and requests.
I'm always happy to share with you all anything that makes creating easier.
Happy Crafting

Mister Ceri, I am checking back in here again to tell you I have my very own "Ceri's Magic Corners" card. It's officially named and everything. I added a hole to the top to hang on my tool wall, and I am just ever so happy about this niftiest tip of the YEAR! Thank you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fabulous, thank you Deb
Thanks for the idea of the hole so I can hang it close to my desk!
Ceri, I'm not a journel maker or card maker, but the information you provide just spills over to so many other areas. However I do so love handmade paper and all that goes with it. Now I must confess, you taught me to make the little envelope pockets which came out perfectly. Next its off to make the angle template.. Plus I keep peeking in to see what you are up to next. I am a bead weaver, Zentangler, wool and fabric dabbler. Any bets on how long it will be before you have me making a journal..a small one at least. A big thank you for sharing and the most enjoyable tutorials. We here in the US need an outlet these days. For me, this is it. Many thanks.
Daphne, I’ve always said art, creativity and craft skills all cross over and inspire each other. Enjoy your creative journey.
👍👍👍😊zo simpel! Wat een goed idee. Dank je wel. Ik ga hem maken. 😊
Ohhhhh! you should--more addictive fun--a Zentagle journal with a beaded spine wd be magical ✨
This is brilliant! Folding the square into a triangle and then using the edge to get the angles makes this an easy task. Thank you!
You’re welcome
Thank you for this, don’t know why I was struggling so much but this is a tremendous help❤❤
Thank you Ceri for showing us how to make this. I’ve have messed up a lot of cards trying to get it perfect. I can always count on you!!
Thank you
Much appreciate you taking the time to do an instructural video Ceri. So much easier to follow rather than making wasted bloomers. I could just binge watch you every day. You're SO good at what you do, adding confidence where we may have not tried something new. Keep up the good 👍 work.
Thank you Elizabeth.
Thank you for this! I've part made mine - I am just missing the 3cm cut so will sort that out today. Another use for the 3cm cut could be as a banner or fishtail cut at the end of a tag. Love all your crafting videos. Off to share this with my cardmaking group!
Julie thats a great idea thank you.
Fantastic idea I'm going to give it a try 😊❤
Thank you so much Ceri for this handy dandy tool. You are a genius! I love all your videos. I Have learned so much from you. Thank you again!
You are so welcome Janice
That was a really interesting and helpful video. Great tip with the folded paper to get 90 degrees corners. Will definitely be making one soon. Thanks for showing and I wish you a great weekend. Xxx
Love the idea of using rigid pastic containers to make a card.
I recycle when I can.
Very handy, Ceri...helps me a LOT for making bookmarks 😉
Thanks so much Ceri!❤ Love this! Love ALL of your video's, art work, creativity & perfection! 😊 You're a wonderful person. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much
I alway wondered how people made the template. Very handy. I was flipping the corners. You explain things so well. Glad these videos are still available
Thank you
Glad it was helpful

Awesome Ceri, thank you so much for sharing this. I needed to see this one. You're great.
Thank you Deb
I've been struggling with tags. Happy to have found this simple, but very helpful, idea.
Thank you❤
You’re welcome
Thank you Ceri. Well done as ALL of your videos are. You could definitely sell these in your Etsy shop.
Thanks Ceri!! This is very helpful! I made one a while back, but I didn't know how to get the angels even. I shall make a new one!! 😀
Fabulous, your angles can be whatever you wish they dont have to be 45 degrees
Thank you!! I REALLY appreciate your saying it's perfectly ok to approximate the angle /eyeball it- bc these are handmade products, after all. 💖
It’s only my OCD which makes me try to be precise but we’re artists and we’re human, let the machines be the accurate ones.
Thank you for showing how to do this. Will defo make a few of these!
Ceri, you are so kind to go into such details for us! TFS! Hugs from South Dakota, USA
Geri, it’s always a pleasure to share knowledge.
Fantastic idea I'm going to give it a try 😊❤
I followed the link from your "go old school" video. I'm about to cut mine now, thank you for this.
Simply fabulous! Thank you 😘
Thank you so much, Ceri! ❤️. I agree, our items are hand made and if you want that super accurate everything exactly the same, just buy one from the dollar store. That being said, using tools like you created, will make our work look more polished. It is these little details that makes us like our work better.
Handmade does not mean sloppy and unkempt. There is a huge difference.
Ceri? Your work has an amazing aura of finely made and very high quality. 🏅
Thank you Julie.
wonderful!!!!!❤ of course i hit like and subscribed!!!!!!
Thank you and welcome to my channel.
Great free gadget ❤❤
Thank you Ceri! I had one, but it went on vacation and forgot to come back home!!!! I've been just haphazard making them. You just reminded me to make another!!! Have a great day!!!

Thank you! I've been trying all kind of ways to get those corners even...your way works great!
Fabulous.
Thanks for sharing this Ceri. Will be a very useful tool ❤❤
I find it very useful and quick.
Brilliant--I made mine the first time I saw you use yours in a vid--way back when 🤓

Thank you
Congratulations on your finds! Score!
Thanks!
Thank you ceri my tags edges have to be spot on lol so this little gadget will come with me everywhere I go to make my tags ❤️❤️
You’re welcome Patricia
@@CeriGriffiths I’ve made the tag edge card now ❤️❤️
Thanks Ceri! So glad to see how the gaget was invented and the directions were great. Now I think you should now refer to it as Ceri's Tag Gadget, that's what I'm going to call it. It will be very useful. Keep these helpful videos coming.
Margaret, I wish I could claim it as mine but I’m absolutely certain I must have seen someone else do it before me. But thank you.
Ceri thank you and that is a good idea. So just made one using 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", 1" and the equivalent to those measurements in mm too. I call them "Corner Cuts for Tags" by Ceri Griffiths in UK and yes things like this has to have a name and a by name too so I can give credit where credit is do when I share the idea.🙂
Thank you
GENIUS!!!! ❤❤❤
YEAH!!! I was so hoping you had made a video of how you created this tool! A WONDERFUL addition to my crafting tools!! Thank you, Ceri!!! ❤❤❤
You are so welcome Julia

Glad to see this. Thanks!!!!
No problem, its my pleasure to share
The 45° angle was a good tip. I just freehand cut mine when I made one.
Love&hugs to you and Biscuit
Thank you Darcy, it doesn’t have to be 45degrees but it’s the angle I normally cut and followers were asking.
Thank you for this. I also thank you for the December Daily inspiration. I am really happy with my journal. I started writing in it on Friday.
Fabulous
Thank you for your great videos - I have just found you! Going to get the Christmas cards out and reuse them as you showed. 👍
Have fun!
Very handy! Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you. I made one right along with you. This will help me so much. Because I hate lopsided tags. Have a great weekend.
Thank you
Love this! I always enjoy making my own shortcut tools and this is perfect. Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome
Thank you for this. Brilliant. I have been using heavy card stock for this, but there is always a chance you will cut your template when making your tags.
Lisa, I’ve cut many a cardboard template, sometimes I nick the edge of the plastic with the scissors but rarely.
This was a very helpful video Ceri, truly. Thank you! ❤
You’re welcome.
I love this 😊😊😊. Just subscribed
Thank you and welcome to my channel

You're very welcome!
This is great Ceri, thankyou.

Wonderful.
Excellent instructional video! Thank you! ❤
Thank you
Thank you so much, this is so helpful to make perfect tags. 💕
Fabulous
Wonderful video!
Glad you liked it.
Great video!!! Hey,...I just ordered from PM Artists Studio. I'm so EXCITED to receive your Hopeless Harlequin STENCIL!!! Its so great! I think you should tell us about it and put your CERIFAN10 coupon code in ALL your videos. It wasn't too easy to find. Plus, I think everyone would love to get your stencil if they knew about it. I've seen you use it and its so wonderful. Its difficult to know how their masks will look till we see them used. At least for me!!
Thanks for doing the Hopeless Harlequin stencil for PM Artists Studio. I'm so happy to be able to get it.
Hugs from Austin,TX USA
Thank you Barbara, I fully intend doing a video on each of my designs but life just keeps getting in my way.
Thank you so much.
Awesome tip
Thank you
Made mine after watching you use yours awhile back but I’ll see if my angels are the 45 degrees. Very handy tool. Thanks.
They don’t have to be 45 degrees but for me I like that look
Brilliant!!
TYFS!
You are so welcome Tracy.
Thank you, thank you
Thanks so much!! You just saved me money!! Now I don't have to buy a corner punch!
Glad I could help!
👌 Perfect!
Thank you
Thank you
brilliant!
Thank you! I'm excited that my first UK visit is coming up soon. I'm staying in London near Victoria station and will be a total tourist. However, if there are any great paper/stationery shops I should visit I'd love a recommendation. Any special papers I should keep my eye out for? Of course, I will be collecting all my ticket stubs, tour brochures etc. in a travel journal. Thanks again.
Have a wonderful time in London, i used to live there many many years ago but not actually looked for supplies there so unfortunately I not able to suggest any shops for you, but theres enough eclectic things to be a resource. If you go to Covent Garden they do have an indoor market, a bit pricey, however you might find the odd treasure there, I sometimes buy wooden printing blocks if I’m there.
I really like your idea and I am going to follow your example. I don't remember who it was but I seen someone stack 2 pieces of cardstock, cut through both pieces, one corner while they are stacked, then flip one and follow the guide. This is 3 cuts for 2 tags and they are equal.
Wonderful.
Absolutely amazing. I can't cut matching angles for anything & it bothers me so much. I'm just decluttering all my kids old school folders, so I have lots of plastic. Thanks 😀
Glad it was helpful!
@CeriGriffiths It was. Thanks. I've made about 7 this afternoon. My friends come to my place on Friday for craft day. We have a newby who loves making tags. So one for everyone & a spare. She's been given lots of dylusions, so this week we are going waaay back & doing what we learnt in 2013. My first craft class was at Snazzi Scrappin in Dubbo, NSW, Aus. We bought 1 stencil (swirly garden) & 3 dylusions sprays (primary ink colours). I had to go back to work & massage with inky hands.😂 I still use some of those old scraps in my ephemera. I was absolutely gobsmacked by the brightness of the colours & the wonders of stencils. Got me hooked & we are still going! 💕
TFS
You’re welcome
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you
💜💜💜
Thank you Amy
Eddiemakesart sent me, love this!
Thank you and thank you Eddie.
😊
Thank you
I've been driving myself crazy trying to get the perfect tags. So many times my corners are uneven, so I cut them down and cut them down some more, More times than I can count I end up with nothing left lol.
Hope this helps.
You need to patent that!
Lol…..I’m sure I’m not the first to do this.
The first simple method I saw from @Luise Heinzl for the first time...
Good to know thank you
Thank you
😊
