    Hi, Ceri. I just wanted to let you know how you helped me try something I thought I could not do. A few weeks ago you demonstrated making a gluebook/folio project. I've tried making these things before and failed. Your instructions were so precise, I immediately started work on my own project. IT WORKED! I made one like yours and decorated it with a kit of spring robins paper. It only took a few days to complete. I am so pleased with the results and I owe it all to you!! You are an incredible teacher!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

      Thank you so much, I think you’re referring to the gluefolio which I was inspired to make by Nicole. relax, cut, glue. They are so much fun, congratulations.

    I have tons a label rolls left over from when we still used a dot matrix printer. You have given them new life Ceri. As for your rubber stamps that no longer adhere to your stamping block-if you have any zig adhesive you could recondition the back after cleaning by spreading a layer of the zig, let it dry then apply another layer. Zig remains tacky enough that it should stick to the acrylic block-then you just store it on a piece of acetate. I use this technique to recondition my cutting mats for my Silhouette Camio.

    Great video thanks for the inspiration! Most of the time, cleaning the back of your stamps with hand sanitizer will help them cling again to your block. It is somehow related to restoring electrostatic properties… works for me anyways! Nice regards from Québec, Canada!

    You can also get oven mats from Walmart etc. Very good because they are to be used in an oven so if food spills over while cooking it will drip on the mat and won't mess up your oven. And they are priced very reasonable!

    I do something similar with TH Field Notes. I’ll stamp several sheets of tracing paper with the entire sheet of the stamps (I haven’t harvested the stamps from the red rubber background). I’ve also got reels of labels from my old employer. They bought a new label maker and it wouldn’t take the labels from the old label maker. It’s fun to explore and just have a play. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

    You can search for teflon baking paper or reusable baking paper. I've bought mine on amazon there were 5 or 6 in a pack for round about the price of the tim holtz one and they are the same I would say.
    I recently picked up a box with office supplies in a charity shop with a pack of Labels for the back of ring binders. Now I'm thinking about printing on them with the gelli plate and make unique backs for the binders I store my stencils in.
    I usually wash my stamps if they aren't sticky anymore with warm water and dish soap and let them air dry to make them stick to the stamping block again. Works fine for me.

    • @CeriGriffiths
      @CeriGriffiths  ปีที่แล้ว

      Steph, word of warning………if you put you labels face down on a gelli plate they may come off the backing paper unless you’re careful when you lift them from the plate. I speak from experience.
