    Hi there again!!!!!! I hope you see this comment because I have some important questions to ask you pleaseeeee.
    I’m headed to Paris this In 13 Days and your channel really helps, is there anyway you can have the time to answer these questions please.
    1- When I arrive at the CDG Airport, you said that the SIM Cards are located in Terminal 1 for me to purchase?
    2- In the CDG Airport you mentioned that there is a currency exchange booth somewhere around the airport, if the booth are closed will there me ATMs in the airport for me to exchange my USD to Euros???
    3- I have a Bank of America debit card which is a Visa, can I use that in ATMs???
    4- My hotel that i will be staying is called “Hotel Derby Eiffel” what is the BEST way to get from CDG to my hotel?
    5- You talked about the Navigo Pass/Card……. There was another TH-camr that talked about it and he said that you can download app which is “IDF Mobilités” and he said you can literally purchase tickets on your phone and use them as tickets to scan to get access inside.
    Is there an actual app for Navigo??

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! I’m glad to hear that my channel is helping you prepare for your upcoming trip to France:)
      My answers to your questions are as follows:
      1. Yes. You can buy a SIM card at Terminal 1tourist information station of CDG Airport. If there’s an unforeseen issue with buying a SIM card you can go to Free Mobile in Forum Les Halles Châtelet.
      2. If the ATM booth is closed for currency exchange, there are several in Paris. I highly recommend that you do the exchange beforehand with Bank of America since the exchange fees in Paris are quite high. Doing with your bank directly is easier and cheaper.
      3. Visa is accepted across France no problem. It’s always good to have cash on you just in case. I also advise you to tell Bank of America that you’ll be in France so they don’t think your charges are fraudulent and freeze your card mid-trip.
      4. The best and most direct way would be a taxi that you order directly through an app that way the amount is set beforehand rather than negotiating in the car or getting potentially scammed. I suggest you ask your hotel if they have an airport shuttle or can arrange a taxi for you with a flat rate. That’ll save you quite the potential headache.
      5. IDF Mobilités is home to all things Paris public transportation including Navigo. And yes, that’s correct you can buy tickets and use your phone to scan when using public transport.
      Hope that answers your questions! Enjoy your trip🇫🇷

    Hi!
    I used a paper ticket on Tram T7, but when I tried to use it again in Villejuif, it didn't work. Do you know why? I thought it was valid for 90 minutes.

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for watching!
      You're correct. From the first validation to the last validation, you have 90 minutes so it should've worked. I'm not sure why it didn't work for you, you did the correct thing. Maybe next time opt for a Navigo card instead of a paper ticket since they're phasing those out.

      Thanks for watching! The book of 10 tickets has been replaced by the Navigo Easy Pass. With the Navigo Easy Pass, anyone can use the card and it’s refillable.

    Coming to Paris later this year, how are the subway ‘police’ to inspect if you only have a navigo card and not actual tickets?

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! I failed to mention this in the video since I was solely focusing on tickets. With an active Navigo card that has your picture on it, you won’t have any issues with the contrôleurs in the Metro. Just give it to them to scan and you’re good to go. Bon voyage🇫🇷

  • @jackz1057
    @jackz1057 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    just a quick question that is the ticket bought from this machine ok to start a trip on bus? Also is the ticket ok to transfer between bus and metro within the 1.5h limit?

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! The tickets bought in any Metro station are called ticket t+ and they give you access to the Metro, bus and tram as you wish. Sadly, with the tickets they are single-use, so the moment you insert it into a bus it's done for. The exceptions to this are when you're changing Metro lines.
      Hope that helps:)

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! Paper tickets are being phased out, so I recommend getting a Navigo pass with a book of ten on it. And there’s no expiration date once you purchase them. There is a 90-minute validity time limit between the first and the last validation.
      Hope that helps!

    Hi im traveling to france soon and have a option to use rer a train from disneyland and getting off one stop to val d europe. Is this accessible with a suitcase?
    Also with the navigo pass bulk ticket buy is it useable for the route?

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching!
      The RER A Marne-la-Vallée Chessy (Disneyland) stop is easy to get to and accessible with a suitcase. You'll likely see other people on the train with bags as well, there's a lot of space.
      And yes a bulk ticket is useable for this route, but I would recommend the Navigo Découverte Travel Card and ensure you get it with access to zones 1-5 since you'll be traveling in and around Disney (Zone 5) and will likely want to go to the center of Paris which is zone 1.
      Hope that helps!

    Be sure if you get the paris viste pass that it has your name on it and that it is valid like the screen turns green on the bus or they will try to charge you even if you paid 69 euros for your pass. It is honestly frustrating especially since we did unlimited to avoid issues. However, the man and lady kept speaking in French until someone spoke English to us, and we had no clue that we had to write our name on that ticket. Make sure that you sign your name on the ticket or they will try to charge you. People were holding guns on us, and that was scary. They even threatened to arrest us until I threaten to call the US embassy. It was not handled properly, but I want to inform people of that.

      Thanks for watching! I know there’s a currency exchange in Charles de Gaulle. I’m not sure about Orly since I’ve never been. There are several currency exchange places in Paris especially the 9th arrondissement near Opéra. You can get a SIM card at Terminal 1 or in person at Free mobile.

    Can t+ tickets be used across all zones for bus and trams? Also for Navigo pass, can i use it in the same week until Sunday if i am arriving on Wednesday? Thanks !

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just double checked and the t+ tickets for buses and trams are only applicable for zone one. And for a Navigo pass question, yes exactly. That weekly pass is valid from your Wednesday arrival to the following Sunday. From both of your questions, it sounds like you'd be best to look into getting a Navigo Easy Pass which is starting to replace paper t+ tickets. Here's a short video I did on that explaining what it offers:

    Here again :) . What do you recommend for two people who stay in Zone 3 and want to visit Zone 1. I arrive at night and then I have two full days in Paris to visit (Weekend). I did a calculation and we would make 9 tickets in those days per person. I had thought about the Navigo pass with 10 tickets, but I read in the comments that it is not useful to leave zone 1 so It is not useful to return to the Hotel. Is that correct? What do you think is better?

      Books of 10 paper tickets are already no longer sold at about 100 stations. You can (and should!) get a Navigo Easy card which you can load with a book 10 tickets. The card costs 2€, but you get a 2€ discount for each book of 10 tickets you buy with the Navigo Easy card. You can buy the card in any metro/RER station by asking the station agent.

There's a great app that you should get called Dice that's full of live events happening all around Paris each day (Concerts, day parties, afrobeat cruises, rooftop events, etc.) I highly recommend downloading that app. As for places to eat, you should check out La Felicitá is a collection of restaurants in the 13th arrondissement (district) of Paris that's really dynamic and fun. Should I make a video about this? Hope that helps!

    Hi,love the video! My question is, is the T+ only valid in one day? I mean,for example you buy it late night at 20.00,but you gonna use it tomorrow. Is it still valid? Thanks!

      Hi, thanks for watching! GREAT question. You can buy T+ tickets and use them anytime afterwards. Their expiration only starts when you insert it to enter a form of public transport. Have a nice stay:)

    I don't understand this. So let's say you buy 1 t-ticket and travel by metro. That is a single journey. So to get back you'll need to buy a t-ticket again?

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! You understood correctly. Buying 1 t-ticket grants you a one-way journey. For example, you can take the metro from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triomphe but you can not go back without buying another t-ticket. Hope that helps!
