    First time seeing one of your videos. As you probably already know, you are INSTANTLY likable in this video, and instantly trustworthy, so I appreciate all the good info you shared with such flair. In my case, however, I was more looking for info about the weekly Navigo I could use as a tourist, which you didn't really cover here. Might be something you could address in another video, even though that may be a bit outside your target audience. Either way, you are a natural at this! Merci bien !

      That's very kind of you to say. You're correct, this video is for Paris/IDF rather than tourists, but I do have two other videos in the same series for tourists that may be a better fit for your needs.

    I’m in Paris for 7 months as an exchange student so getting a year long card will be useless. What can I get?

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! Since you’re a student and I’m assuming under 26, I’d actually recommend you get the annual Navigo student pass. It’s longer than your stay but is cost efficient of 342 euros versus paying 84,10 euros a month for seven months which is far more money. Hope that makes sense.

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! There’s nothing you need to do to activate your card. I would check the date to see when the subscription starts. My subscription started on the 21st of the month for example. It’s likely that.

    I'm about to move to Paris from the US at the end of the month, and this was super helpful bc you touched on basically everything I was curious about (so thank you), but I still have a couple of questions:
    1. Do you know if the yearly starts on the first of the month you're applying for? So since I want it starting on Oct 1, 2022, it'll be good until Sep 30, 2023? Or is like Jan to Dec?
    2. Even if you're working and are not a student or under 26 or anything, you can apply online and have it mailed (in France), right? I already have a fear of getting pictures taken at the DMV, the idea of a forever photo is giving me anxiety lol.

    • @TheSavvyCScoop
      @TheSavvyCScoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! Congrats on your upcoming move, how exciting:)
      I did the same exact thing as you. My navigo pass started on October 1st and expired at the end of September of the following year. And yes, as someone who works you can still apply online and have your card mailed to an address in France.
      I understand your anxiety completely! Try your best not to overthink it too too much and maybe even practice in the mirror at bit.
      After living overseas, you'll perfect your ID photo face.
      Bonne chance!

And for the address, just use an address in Paris that you have physical access to so when you card arrives you can pick it up. That way you pay each month then after your sixth month in Paris passes, you don’t have to pay anymore. Unless, you decide to stay longer or come back. Maybe ask your school if it’s possible to pay for all six months at once, I know someone who did for only three months.
