The Monte Carlo is one of my favourite cars of all time. The engine is Sweet and the car also has one if the best 3 speed Turbo Hydra-Matic transmissions.

I know my dad had a 76 with these seats and a 400 cubic inch option ? Sun roof and center console shifter. We had it for 12 years until I was 10 years old. Black on black. He just sent me a couple of pictures of it

I bought a used 1974 Monte Carlo. It wasn't perfect but it was in very nice condition for ten year old car at the time. It was dark blue and I added chrome wheels with B F Goodrich RWL Radial TA's. Again, it was not perfect but it turned heads. One of the nicest riding cars I ever owned. ( My big brothers friend had a 1976 Monte Carlo like the one in the video. The color was light blue. I remember when he bought it brand new. As a kid I remember thinking he was the coolest guy in town because he also had a blue Harley Davidson Super Glide. He also served in Viet Nam and was wounded in action. God Bless all men and women that served their countries ).
Super glide, the blue looks awesome on this car too. Perhaps it’s one of the most beautiful body shape (in the correct portions) of cars from that era. wow such awesome memories of your brother’s friend too. "What do you call that?" I think you are pointing to the beauty rings. I grew up in the back seat of a '76. My dad's was black with black landau roof (or partial as a real landau covers the entire roof) and maroon interior. I was too young to know or care what engine it had. The first time I acknowledged my growth was the night I didn't fit lying flat between the armrests in the rear seat LOL. My old man doted on that car. These cars have some of the sexiest hips of all time! One of the last designs to have that female Coke bottle design.
Front seat (love the name) … sexiest hips.. never heard that about a car before but you’ve nailed it. So true the Monte Carlo had the most beautiful lines ever imagined. Also.. yes the chrome rings are in fact “beauty rings” I’d forgotten the term. I had to laugh about your speeding tickets because it’s true.. this car goes very fast very quickly.. but the sound and feel any 70mph is the same as at 30mph.. so smooth. i owned a 77 for 15 years silver gray it had a red wine interior with swivel bucket seats and had a landau roof the same color of the car i miss it should have kept it

@@ClassicCarChitChat all body shops have four or five “color books”, which are about 4 inches thick and go back to about 1950. They have literally thousands of colors in these books, with the names and the part numbers for every car sold in the USA. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure that’s my color was called “ buckskin” by Chevrolet.
Palmbeachdog (cool name) that actually would be the right name. The colour looks so similar to the Buick Riviera Boattail. These colours really showcased the cars lines so well.

Nice car but with that 350 2 barrel severly under powered very slow. 0 to 60 12 seconds. Bad..
