I've been using Prolong Engine Treatment and Transmission Treatment for twenty-five years since it first came out in all my cars, trucks and motorcycles. It is the REAL DEAL! I get better performance and gas mileage and the engines are virtually without wear. It's the best additive I've ever come across; they even use it in deep sea oil rigs according to an engineer I know. This is an excellent video with REAL proof. Even my Craftsman Riding Mower with the Briggs & Stratton Intek Motor runs significantly better with more power and those motors are known to be problematic at their best. Watch Taryl Fixes All and you'll see. I will always have plenty of Prolong on the shelf for all my engines! There is truly "No Equal in the World" 🌎
I'm just seeing your message now Mark, thanks for watching. There are a small group of believers like ourselves and hopefully there will be more. Unfortunately, the one gentleman who had catastrophic engine failure in his Dodge diesel claimed to be running Prolong which somehow turned to acid and disintegrated major engine components gave the product a bad reputation and many are even currently afraid of it. I've been running my freshly rebuilt classic Mopar 318 V8 all season with 8 oz of Prolong to the regular 5 quart capacity. My biggest concern was the happy life of my old school flat tappet lifters which have performed flawlessly all season in an environment where one in three cams such as mine fail not long after or during break in. I contacted Blackstone just the other day asking if they have any way to detect chlorinated paraffins which is the main component in Prolong. They said yes, they can detect it. I'm interested to know how many parts per million end up in my capacity of five quarts as well as any other wear that may or may Not be occurring. I'm also very interested in the presence of acid after a 4,000 mile interval batch.
@@Projects5309 I use 12 ounces of Prolong in my 1987 Toyota Supra at each oil change, which it's been over twenty years. I've never had any problems and pretty clean oil visually at every oil change. It's the same for my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, which I've experienced no problems either. Both are gasoline engines , but not diesel engines. I think that engine should have been studied by a qualified mechanic to pinpoint the issues experienced with that engine. I have serious doubts that Prolong was the cause of the engine failure. I also put Prolong in my Motorcycle, Suzuki RM250 and it ran much better with Prolong added to the oil. I believe that as synthetic oil improved, Prolong may have changed the oil formula to a better viscosity with the higher performance engines made today. (That's my observation and opinion). The original Prolong was a bit thicker than the current formula from which I've purchased years ago. As far as product quality, that has remained consistent in all my vehicle engines. I swear by the quality of Prolong and hope that it will always be available and I keep a good quantity of Prolong on my shelf.
Okay dang that ran a heck of a lot longer than it should have LOL but come on bro after that she deserved a fresh oil not that nasty stuff lol awesome video
Do you have any info about when one of the original Prolong guys split off on his own and started ProOne? I’m a drilling engineer and have used ProOne nitro drilling lubricant on 20K feet wells with significant reduction in torque & Drag. They sent me a bunch of freebies from their automotive line so I YOLOd them into my work duramax then sent samples off to blackstone with good reviews. ProOne claims they don’t have any chlorinated paraffins tho???
I've honestly never heard of that product. It's certainly not available at any of the common places where I shop. I see they have a video on TH-cam with the same old bearing friction test. I would like to see a comparison of prolong and pro-1. As far as the supposedly corrosive chlorinated paraffins, I recently took apart my dodge 318 which has been running on prolong since it was rebuilt 6,000 miles ago. (I had to address a defective cylinder head). The camshaft and flat tappet lifters along with the underside of The rocker shafts are arguably the highest friction points in the engine, looked & felt like glass. The one individual who had major corrosion problems with his Dodge diesel apparently lost his mind and org got lots of free prolong because the concentration of it was completely off the charts. Used improperly, I suppose anything is possible.
Duralube had a pretty remarkable infomercial as well. Maybe it's better, maybe it's not. I was plenty happy with these results which prompted me to look no farther. I started using Prolong in every piece of mechanical equipment I own after this test. Wouldn't take much to find a mower in the trash. Pick up a bottle of Duralube and let us know what happens.
I know O'Reilly's has it for sure but it's $20 for 12 oz. I buy a full-Qt from Prolongs eBay store for $32 +$5 shipping which is definitely a better deal www.ebay.com/itm/275762942839?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=o_Te8sHMQe6&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=H6LwYMCyReu&var=577341022978&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I was running Pennsylvania platinum in my mower. And when I went to kill it. I would like to clutch kill it. And it's sure the timing key 3 times before. I realize that I should not just let go of the handle
On machines that I own & maintain, I always shut them off by releasing the lever just enough to cut spark then the engine slows down and stops without any brake from the flywheel. It's always a good idea to properly torque the flywheel nut because we should be able to abruptly let go of the handle without anything ill occurring.

That was a great movie coldsmoke. That is one loyal runner right there. Look forward to seeing a deck transplant!
The old girl served us well. It's ready for a new lease on life!

Do you recommend an oil change or not LOL
Nope. We ended up using this mower for target practice, while it was running of course 🎯 💥
How would this product compare with others? Like Duralube
Duralube had a pretty remarkable infomercial as well. Maybe it's better, maybe it's not. I was plenty happy with these results which prompted me to look no farther. I started using Prolong in every piece of mechanical equipment I own after this test.

I wonder how this stuff compares to motorkote.
Drag a lawn mower out of the trash then pick up a quart of the stuff and let us know.

Why did Prolong discontinue including their Warranty Certificate and the Prolong Stickers in the box?
I'm sure they can answer your question. Call them at 1-800-540 5823 8-4 PST.

Don't they believe in Advertising by including the Prolong Stickers??
You can ask them that question directly at 1-800-540-5823 or e-mail them at Info@prolong.com
