An oft-overlooked bike in its time. I was always a fan but never owned one.

I've owned a Hayabusa and three 1340 evo Harley's since my Last Honda 650 SLR and if I have my way, I will be buying another tomorrow 27/07/21 a great bike with enough speed and the abillity to off road if needed. Bugger the Hayabusa!

Engine is very much related to the XL/XR650. Actually this engine range started with the 500 and 650 Dominator and after the SLR continued with the FMX650. Cool bikes the whole bunch.

Ye love all of them only one I haven't ridden is the fmx650!

@@RetroBikesDublin Same here. Been through XR, XL, NX (Dominator that is, 250, 500, 650), SLR but no FMX yet. I favor though the most the XL600LM with those tubeless rims.

    Hi from England!
great bikes I have both the SLR & FX 650 Vigor.
These use an RD09 engine (39 bhp) which is a slightly detuned version of a dominator engine (44ish bhp)

What’s wrong with the saddle I noticed it’s not sitting right is it just not clipped in

The front mount clips onto a circular part on the tank but they don't stay on well.the rear mounts are 2 x 10 mm bolts so it's not going to come adrift.

      Hi man
I owe one so I hope that helps. I am 178cm tall and when I am sitting at the red light both my feet are touching the ground. Obv you'd like only the right one to be ready to shift that 1st gear :) Apart from that, it is the most comfortable bike I rode (MT-07 & KX 250), super maniable as well

I wonder would an engine like that fit into an FTR chassis? Now that would be pretty trick and unique 🤔
