I like this English lady, too. She is really a very good teacher.Fantastic. I have been watching all her videos and I have improved my English very much. Thank you very much for your excellent work.
Being Spanish, for me, the most complicated part of English was listening. I understand absolutely everything with this lady. Why don't I understand other English people well? I will not miss any of these videos. They are real jewels.
Thank you for all your lessons. It's a pleasure to hear your explanations. I'm French and i remembered thanks to you my english school lessons. I'm 57.
Hi gill, i was wondering if you could prepare some lessons on topic vocabulary,as for example house and home, food and drink, travel and tourism( not idioms, but basic vocabulary, so that we can learn the pronunciation and collocations of them), ..because on internet everybody gives more importance on grammar, but vocabulary is important too😊😊..thanks a lot
Hi mary it really thrills me to see adorable women like you with such an amazing smile, i really would love to learn more about you but if you dont mind for to be friend request thank you 👍🌹😊❤️🇪🇬

I love your vids! You are a amazing teacher and a great person, just one advice.... try not to explain soo much. I mean, explain cause that’s good but so much can get tiring... BUT YOU ARE WONDERFUL! Keep it up
Hi Gill, You may be able to help us Brits in the USA if you could do a video explaining the pronunciation of the word ‘the’. It is very simple but, unfortunately there has been a viral response due to the misunderstanding. Newscasters often seem to speak over hurdles when they say, ‘the’ instead of ‘thee’. Example: ‘THEE English language has adjusted over THE centuries in order to facilitate an even flow’. This simple rule is that when preceding a noun beginning with a vowel (a,e,i,o and u) then the pronunciation is ‘thee’ and when preceding a consonant ( the rest of the alphabet) it is pronounced ‘the’. Please help because people sound like early learners when they do not know this rule.
Thank you so much for your efforts. I would like to propose a suggestion. Can you, kindly, allocate a certain series of videos for the field of Applied Linguistics or the field of Linguistics in general.
Thanks for the lesson! I'm wondering whether there is any rationale behind the use of the preposition "in" in the expression "the ball is in your court". As the court is a surface in which the ball doesn't penetrate, wouldn't it make more sense to say "on your court"?
Hi Gill, I don’t see a video about the word ‘but’. British people say it differently and put more emphasis on the word then Americans do. Also using then or than would be an interesting video. Thanks so much!

Nice video.thank you

Wonderful
I have no reason to be watching this yet I am anyway and really enjoying this wow.
Thanks for the lesson! I'm wondering whether there is any rationale behind the use of the preposition "in" in the expression "the ball is in your court". As the court is a surface in which the ball doesn't penetrate, wouldn't it make more sense to say "on your court"?
I think we use 'in' because the ball is 'within' the boundaries of the lines which mark out the (tennis) court :-)
Thanks
The ball is in your court 👌
Thanks Gill for the such a nice vedio
I realized that I could understand English very easily. My problem is with those who cannot speak English so well.

thank you about that
Ohhh my Goodness I Love your Video on here :) thank you

I think of ""getting into the swing" as more of a musical metaphor.
Rixdorf salutes Gill !!!
