back in late 90s i was @ a meth redman concert in manchester england, i was the only black guy in crowed. i was smoking a blunt in front row, security came to try drag me out for smoking, meth seen and smelt what was going on in the show he came over took blunt out my hand and him and red pulled me over bearer and let me stand, side stage and they sheard my blunt and passed it back. after show (before camera phones) they came spent few minutes ( actually seconds ) and gave me a tshirt and invited me back to china town after party. best night of my life and i did get to the after party i seen them in vip got recognition but didn't spend more time with them but they touched my life. i was born wu tang
I was at a red and meth show in den haag holland some years ago they passed a huge joint tulip form and passed through the crowd..i took couple of hits got stoned af didn't feel comfortable the rest of the show, but i stayed till the end even though it was awkward was stoned
bobdigi88 Meth is the homie, Ghost is the most consistent artist of the Wu, UGod has the best baritone in hip-hop, Inspectah is raw as hell but Raekwon might be my favorite Wu member. Underrated lyrically an all around real ass dude.

People underrate Capadonna, his performances on Iron Man and Wu Tang Forever alone cement him over a lot of people considered greats by most. Shout out to Killah Priest too.
I still say , i have never seen a rap group do what Wu-tang did . What a unique and beautiful chapter of hip hop history . Till this day there are so many tracks that you can hear today and still are relevant . They were underestimated then , i think they r still under appreciated now although they do get props .
Thanks to drink champs for bringing the humanity to these Legends. As I watched this and thought of all the memories of that Wu music and my own life, It was the emotion and happiness they spoke about ODB that hit me. I recognized that these guys missed their brother like I miss my close brother. Rest In Peace to ODB and to all of us who lost one of our brothers in our crews. Wu Tang forever.
Remember seeing O.D.B at the tunnel, screaming at security "I will Blow this Whole Shit UP! GET OFF ME, He walked through the front door like they better know who I AM" Hahahah, and the time around '94 they did a show in Brooklyn at a club called Legends, and I promise they brought the whole Shaolin PJ's with them, had to be like 300 WU-Tang heads in there, and some kid threw a empty Water bottle on stage during the performance, and ALL I heard was SUUUUUUUUUU and they hit that kid with Moet bottles and stomped him out, security dragged him off and they kept performing like nothing happened. Ahhh, the Golden ERA.
Yo I was the biggest Cappadonna fan in high school that Pillage album is so underrated and a top ten WU album....also he has the most classic verses too...Winter Warz🔥, 97 Mentality, Ice cream, Camay
This Dude NORE GOT the most of them there!!! Yeah not everybody is there but he actually got more then half of them & this was a good interview... WU got drunk & high and started talking about there life... besides they’re music this the most I heard this dudes open up. DRINK CHAMPS THANK YOU SOOO MUCH, WU TANG FOREVER!!! Yea man listen to their Enter The Wu: 36 Chambers album. Came out in 1993. I was born in 92' but my brothers always played 90's hip hop music around me. I fuck with the new and old school hip hop

This is the only Drink Champs I watched in its entirety with out stopping straight through 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯 over 3hrs one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen with the WU. Drank Champs and Nardwuar
I seriously loved every minute of this. I can listen to the OGs tell their stories all day every day. I love the environment they've created here at Drink Champs vs a traditional interview orr some media company. You can tell dudes feel at home and comfortable enough to speak their truth. I haven't seen an episode yet that I didn't like
Word respect it’s a few where note might be all over the place but overall since they started I been here you know that Rae and ghost just hit 1.1 mill in less than 2 weeks………….. Wu tang forever
N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN are the #DrinkChamps. In this episode the legends sit down with Method Man, Masta Killa, Raekwon, U-God, Mathematics, and Cappadonna of the Wu-Tang Clan.
@5:05-6:05 I like how Meth caught the crazy flashback reminiscing how Cap was that dude in them Shaolin rap battle's! Coming from Meth, that was dope, respect! Gave Cap his flower's early, official!💯

They also were just a powerful group that straight up united people. I remember back in high school (class of 12) I had beef with some old homies I mean we were tight from 4th grade to like sophomore or junior year or some shit over some bullshit I can't remember. But Senior year we noticed that we were bumping Wu Tang with people who we knew in our class and what not and bruh we would skip some other classes meet up, drop freestyles over Wu-tang, biggie and Nas beats and just bullshiting. We settled the beef and one of them is one of my best friends to this day all because of Wu-Tang. Imagine that happening in neighborhoods in NYC. Wu-TANG Forever!
To me Method man has always been the leader of the Wu and my favorite. He inspired me incredibly to get my raps off on a stage back in the early 90s. Thank you and salute from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

This is the the most, hood legend way to end the muthafuckin year of 2017. I salute, all yall niggaz. Commander in chief niggaz!!! Peace and love in 2018 and always.
3 hours! Imagine if Ghost, Rza, Gza and Deck was on the set. Shit on top of that ODB still alive up there 2. Would've been an extra 3 or more hours I'd still be smokin weed listening. Much props NORE and the rest of the Drink Champs Crew. Much Luv WU TANG FOREVER!!!
It’s been numerous interviews and it always comes up, yea Rza is this but ODB is the one...You could tell he was the glue. They have a real love for dude.
That what also make it lit too 🔥 as Wu tang is...ITS RAW. Shit sounds like you was actually there without the mics. Just like the music...shit sounds like you was actually there. REAL and Genuine ASF!
I first heard Wu on cassette. BDK performed at my college homecoming. He brought the tape to a party at my apartment back in the early 90s. The Wu had my living room crazy !! Damn, cassette.
2 greatest rap groups of my life were Wu Tang Clan and Bone Thugs in Harmony. Me being from bklyn and knowing Popa Wu and meeting Wu Tang Before they blew up definitely makes me a bigger Wu fan
One of the coolest things about Wu is that they genuinely f**** with each other. They each have personal relationships with one another and aren't halfway friends. That's rare with a big group like that. Their bond is probably deeper than they express in interviews. They've know each other since little kids.
Dirt dogs absence is certainly felt. Imagine if he were at the table. Oh my God. The laughs alone.. I’m proud to have purchased all their albums (Nore too) and more than once. Donna album was slept on and I’m still milking this cow the best way I know how. What I would’ve done just to sweep the floor that day this interview took place. The whole ambiance man… this is why I hang with dudes and not bitches. Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep will forever be my favorite. Same for this interview. 🙌🏽
back in late 90s i was @ a meth redman concert in manchester england, i was the only black guy in crowed. i was smoking a blunt in front row, security came to try drag me out for smoking, meth seen and smelt what was going on in the show he came over took blunt out my hand and him and red pulled me over bearer and let me stand, side stage and they sheard my blunt and passed it back. after show (before camera phones) they came spent few minutes ( actually seconds ) and gave me a tshirt and invited me back to china town after party. best night of my life and i did get to the after party i seen them in vip got recognition but didn't spend more time with them but they touched my life. i was born wu tang

I was at a red and meth show in den haag holland some years ago they passed a huge joint tulip form and passed through the crowd..i took couple of hits got stoned af didn't feel comfortable the rest of the show, but i stayed till the end even though it was awkward was stoned
The look on Methods face when U God starts over talking.. and U gods face when Meth talks period 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The love and hate and love each other. Normal for them.
They still acknowledge each other
It's like that in a group when one takes off faster than the other. But all LOVE!
U god be hating
Sibling rivalry
Meth has always represented Wu more than required. And has a Redman T-shirt on too. Loyal to the end.
bobdigi88 Meth is the homie, Ghost is the most consistent artist of the Wu, UGod has the best baritone in hip-hop, Inspectah is raw as hell but Raekwon might be my favorite Wu member. Underrated lyrically an all around real ass dude.
Stephen The13th Deck, Ghost, and Gza the best to me
consistent flows belongs to meth even tho hes not my top 3
I like Rae a lot. But he lost me with the mafioso stuff.
bobdigi88 he came out on Mafioso rap tho...Cuban linx was mafia kingpin rap...
NORE has really found his calling with hosting this show
Naw he corny and gets too drunk. Tryna get Ugod to rap his lyrics. God just ignored his drunk ass lol
Meth & U-God should do an EP just for the hell of it...with skits of them arguing 😂🤣😂

Ramon Cintron One of my favorites in the Wu.
I agree with you cappa is the shitss
I don’t think fans underrate him. Wu members obviously don’t cause he wouldn’t be on the albums.
Ramon Cintron yep, love capp
Cap was from a different planet with that lyrical style of his.
Every WU member has hip hop quotable darts
Every single one has MULTIPLE quotables
Indeed.

P.O. M.E I have love for every single group you named plus the Wu. Don't sleep on the Wu. Catalogue wise Ghostface and Raekwon still hold it down.

Alfonso Garcia 3rd Eye, Excalibur
Skinny Pippen Agree... I cant believe people dont think Wu is one of the best groups of all time.
One Love To The Legendary Wu Tang Clan, For Paving The Way Within Hip-Hop Music & Culture ✊🏿⭐️💯
I just killed an afternoon watching this!! LEGENDARY!!! Best interveiw EVER!! spreading the Hip Hop love from New Zealand since 1987
2 greatest rap groups of my life were Wu Tang Clan and Bone Thugs in Harmony.
Me being from bklyn and knowing Popa Wu and meeting Wu Tang Before they blew up definitely makes me a bigger Wu fan
Mobb Deep OutKast?
I knew these dudes personally moving to shoalin from Brooklyn my hood friend shyhiem got put on I know it was something special was about to happen.
@@Nothingregular They're great as well but I was only being specific to MY LIFE.
Brilliant show
We need Redman and cam next
now make some noise🎉🎉🎉🎉
One year later and Doc finally made it on..
One of the coolest things about Wu is that they genuinely f**** with each other. They each have personal relationships with one another and aren't halfway friends. That's rare with a big group like that. Their bond is probably deeper than they express in interviews. They've know each other since little kids.
RIP Ol DIRTY
These gods are still as interesting and cool as hell to listen to even after 25+ years.
This is one of the dopest things I've ever seen. That was a 3hr journey. Great shit.
Damn the Killa tape was Meths all along Lol. Rae " Where my Killa tape at"
Duh
"U know kid niggaz came over wit 40z n bluntz, the shit just came up missing."
GOD BLESS YOU FOR SALUTING THE TRUE ICONS OF HIP HOP.
Wu was probably the the best group why because they went on to have great individual album's. And I'm the South, Miami to be exact. RIP ODB
Wish ODB had dropped an album when he was Ason Unique in 91"92"!!!
"puffy daddy is good but Wu-Tang is for the children"
