Redman might be one of the most likeable rappers of all time
Besides being one of the greatest lyricists ever, Redman is one of the most likeable personalities in hip hop. Like he's always so chill and telling jokes and having a good time. As well as being one of the most relatable people in the game. How can anybody not like Reggie Noble?
Facts
Agreed 👍
Faith Evans told a great story about how he helped her out, when she was stranded in LA, way before she became famous. I thought that was very noble and great of him.

Yeah.
He lives in the north pole or in the attic.
That NJ apartment from MTV Cribs has to be worth way more now due to inflation. Red was playing the long game
Funny story, I know Redmans first car is a green Land Cruiser. When I was a teen, Redman (as he stated) lived in Woodside projects with his girl Tasha, so did I. Red use to park that truck outside of the hood on a curb and because he never talked to use we used to break his rear window like every other day. We would break it, he would fix it, after a month of this Redman thought it was a good idea to walk through the projects with a Puffy jacket (summertime) boxers and Tims. We used to sit in the park and play blackjack and here comes Redman sneering in our direction, stops in front of the park, and shows us the gun under his coat. Needless to say we never touched his car again. Redman is a real one.
Reds 1st car was a Sterling..the landcruiser was his 1st car from music

Lil Wayne too!!!
I love Redman on podcasts and interviews. Red is genuinely funny and he's a great storyteller!
Busta, Redman, LL, Jay-z, and Nas... The greatest
When Red talked about "in-stores", you was really promoting your album in a store. The barbershop I used to work at back in the day, dude that owned it had a record store and Redman was promoting his album there. He was signing autographs, dapping people up, and he did a cypher with us. He was the realest out of everyone who came through...but that's how rappers got in touch with their audience back then. Noting but respect for Redman till this day for that day.
I bought a Céline Dion album in a barber shop now That's tuff!!
I remember a bunch of artists like xscape, usher, sam salter & a few others had come to my high school... To promote a concert that weekend at Kemper Arena. The 90s were THE SHIT, I swear!!!
Had to put in the leg work back then
exactly, I remember living overseas in Okinawa, Japan on base (I was 13 in 1995), I remember artists started coming to BX store on base to sign autographs. I met so many artists Montell Jordan, EPMD (Keith Murray, Redman, and Eric Sermon) a group of us after their signing went to their van and the three of them was so sweet they talked to fans I got to grab Redman hand I will never forget the touch of his hands. Anyways, I also met 702 and saw them in concert, I missed Total autograph signing on base at the record store, there was a couple more I met. Yeah I definitely miss those times when artists had to work hard and promote their stuff, I hate how these new singers/rappers making it look so easy.
I love Redman, as a person, the way he carries himself and one of the Goats in rap, I love that we are in this setting with him and Nore is asking him the questions because as a fan everything Nore asked is what I wanted to know and other people won't ask! One of the best interviews in history! It is for me at least!
Redman is a Legendary OG, and one of tha dopest lyricist of all time💯💯💯
Redmans is one of my favourite rappers he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. His character is so genuine. Naturally funny 😂
Its so crazy seeing all these wild ass 90's rapperz matured and just chilling. Redman is the embodiment of 90's hip hop. So happy i witnessed the 90's unravel the illest era ever for rap!
First I heard of him other than the movie How High was featured in the first MC Eight Solo album he came pretty clean with that verse made you say who is that?? Kind of thought it was a diff Redman cause why would he be on AMC eight album...

As far as the eras go I'd say 1985-2005 that 20 year period probably greatest rap and hip hop to ever be made to exist 💯✊🔥
1979 to 1999.
You Probably right but it was falling apart after 97. And all kind of holes starting in 2000. By 2005 you really looking hard for something good.
@reelspilltv From 1979 to 1984. Except for Run DMC there was hardly anything to listen to. What like 25 songs in a 5 year period. Only 10 of them still listenable. Anything was acceptable back then.
@@DefSquadFan You're probably right. I've got to add all DMX's albums. Busta's too. So perhaps, 1979 - 2009. I know real EMCEE'ing died in the 90's and fake emcees (rappers) was born around that same time too.
@@reelspilltv yeah there was still guys dropping new shit in early 2000s busta jadakiss dmx jay etc. . so early 2000s wasn't actually that bad so that's why I went to 05 just for those OGs that were still dropping it after a lot stopped or got old but I'd say still enough around that time maybe not like 80s n 90s but id say was enough to consider you know.

Redman the absolute GOAT in my mind - doesn’t get close to the recognition he deserves.
The 90's it was a whole different era. Music was really music. They were real artists. They did it for the art not for the followers.
They are killing each other now like flies, music is garbage but it's all about followers and likes and subscribers. Looking at this vid, seems that Nore doesn't have a clue what goes on today, and that Biggie/Pac situation is a daily basis. No "sorries over DM" degenerate kids killing and snitching on themselves for those 5min. daily.
You spit Absolute FACTS!!!!!
Yes the 90's hip hop was just tha real, it was so many different types of hip hop and rap, like everybody had their own styles and flow, and everybody was talking about different stuff.. You couldn't copy another MC's style or you were Wack, (No Respect), You could have Ice Cube on the radio and right after that A Tribe Called Quest would come on, then maybe Queen Latifah or Yo Yo after that, it was just a mixture of good creativity that coincides into life experiences..
When nore talked about Redman and mobb deep had issues, it’s really mobb deep were the ones who started that on the song survival of the fittest
No one in defsquad even said anything about mobb deep
Not sure why prodigy even had a problem with stoners back then
Plus Keith Murray was the one maybe he was referring to as “ spaced out “ because Keith Murray rhyme is similar to canibus or Eminem during infinite when Eminem used to rap sort of similar to New Jersey rappers back then and because eminem was with young zee so they rapped that way
But that’s been so many years though
I just wanted to point out that mobb deep started that
yea someone like the fresh prince stays true to the game and isn’t influenced by checks while sellout bitches like denzel curry dont give a fuck about the artform

Yep "Man Down" that was cold! They went at them every chance they got. Havoc on "The Promise".... "Triple P, paranoid plus petro" going directly at Redman. Also "fuck 2pac, Keith Murray and his whole click" from "In the Long Run"
The thing that really set it was the Infamous prelude skit before survival of the fittest. where he dissed rappers talking all that crazy space shid about how much they get high and how much weed they smoke. But Keith really bodied P when he was like "Don't ask me what happened just go ask that nigga jaw." Keith's Breakfast club interview on this was crazy too. P still top 5 dead or alive to me.
