thought I'd pin a comment to explain something: obviously for a full race this is currently slower, but the important thing here that makes it a shortcut is that it at least beats the individual lap (also known as fast lap or flap) tas bkt, which was a 36.935 before this. it's not the only flap-only ultra either, as rSGB, rBC3, and rMR are also limited to flap runs for now. it's a pretty easy mistake to make, considering the flap category isn't nearly as intuitive as 3lap not to mention, it's not entirely out of the question that a faster glitch entry could make this viable for a 3lap tas :0

On Peach Gardens, Cf took it to the next level, and turned the car completely upside-down because the game only cares about where the wheels are. Doing that, he could easily hit the 7th checkpoint and drive up to the finish line to count the lap.
I think the : " you must be in a special state that makes your z axis exactly at zero ......" thing should become a shitpost among the mkwii fandom because it sounds so obscure yet understandable. Its like the grape surgery thing. I think it would be nice

I remember trying to get the barrel roll to work and never being able to reach 0 vehicle speed. it's insane you were even able to do that without the Tiny Titan, and even more insane that you pulled off the ultra? I'm actually super happy this is faster for flap, I was beginning to get worried it wouldn't be faster haha
It's already 19 ultra shortcuts. So already in January 2020 Mario Kart Wii had half of it's tracks broken with the disccovery of the 16th ultra shortcut N64 Mario Raceway.
