  • In the past two years, we have conducted several phases of iteration to improve the flight performance of the volar prototypes. Now we are pleased to announce that the free-flight test of our volar was completed and achieved breakthrough progress.
    The volar flies smoothly and proves our efforts that go into innovation and technology. We are confident in our volar and will strive for perfection with continuous improvement.

      Well, if you look at their website you kinda understand the reason behind their process. They state developing a compact evtol with hidden propellers as part of their objectives. So, they need to put that up in their design from the get-go. That's why evtols projects start with a small model. You can't afford to make a full scale prototype without testing the feasibility of a new design first. Also, they need funding. This is a good way of ensuring it.

    Like others here have commented, it looks sleek. But these guys are behind the times. Other companies are already achieving flight times with fully stabilized manned aircraft. These guys look like they're trying to reinvent the wheel at this point. There are already successful stability systems out there and after 2 or more years of development, that's the least of what they should have, is proper stability.
    Also, just looking at it, it does not look like they have the multirotor redundancy in place, this looks like it's got 4 ducted fans propelling it. If one fails, down you go in spectacular fashion. Other companies all use at least 8 motor/rotor combos for redundancy purposes.

    • @BarcadsONE
      @BarcadsONE 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      One matter these guys could be trying to solve is the exposure of the propellers and the overall size of the eVTOL, which are gigantic concerns. Personal aircraft conmuting will never be a thing with vehicles that could cut your limbs off with the minimal mistake, nor vehicles so big their existence basically creates a problem we don't currently have (where to park them). Size and propeller exposure could be one of the reasons this prototype is unstable. I guess the idea is to tune things up so it stops being so. Not only do we need stable aircrafts, we need them as small and secure as cars.

    • @BarcadsONE
      @BarcadsONE 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@alexisduarte8820 Not exactly, because wheels are aligned vertically and, in most vehicles, riders need to get out (throw themselves beneath or in front of the car after opening the door) in order to become vulnerable. Needless to say, motorcycles are statiscally more dangerous. Just being next to the vehicle is extremely risky here, it doesn't even need to be flying. Direct physical harm is not the only safety concern, though. There's a bigger margin for error on land in regards to objects crashing into the wheels. If something goes wrong, you may very well have the chance to just stop the vehicle. Besides, wheels are made to make contact with a solid. With aircrafts and propellers this margin is way smaller, and any accident can compromise the entire safety of not only the rider and passengers, but of the vehicle itself. Not just the one propeller affected. The propellers need to be protected for these eVTOL to become reliable conmuting alternatives. The thing is, doing so puts a lot of weight. It seems these guys are trying to tackle that problem.

      How does this differ from other multi-rotor aircraft ?
      Let me answer that Starstream, see unlike you Decepticons our human technology and lack of "Energon" knowledge,this only allows us to use basic power sources, however with the help of Optimus prime and the Autobots along with our top human car/rocket desinger Elon Musk we are transitioning over to electric power sources, soon we will have flying cars to rival the Decepticons and our return to the Moon to raid more technology from your crashed ship. So its all about power sources to rival Energon.
      As you know you're Enrgon super heats air incoming over your inlets and without moving blades literally redirects said superheat air out your exhaust, this is why us humans must use rotors.

    A bit too complex shape, but I like the flying car look. The rotor wing or turbofan inside the body make the vehicle very compact, but it is going to lose a bit selfbalance advantage than traditional drone. A bit early to say so, wish this project go smooth and be successful in future

    Great! Wobbly. But with years more of design and research, stabilization seems to be the next hurdle.

      There are gyro's in the flight controller. They can easily tune that out with software. They didn't even try with this demo. Super unimpressed.

    I may never own one but it is an amazing project to follow and see come to life! Is that still half scale?

    • @gigablargh
      @gigablargh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Half length maybe, but it's much less than half weight and weight is the important thing here. If you care about actually building a finished product, and not just getting excitement and venture capital. In that case by all means spend your whole R&D budget on a sick body kit for a big toy drone.

    Incredible. Beautiful. 😊
    Yet, I'm afraid it won't be stable enough because of physics (because of too short leverages). But I may be wrong, it's not unusal. 🤘🏼

  • @BobMinelli

    Love the design. Yes, but what I'm always concerned about is Safety Redundancies. The Black Fly does have those very redundancies. What bothers me is everyone is after the almighty-dollar. Everyone wants to be FIRST to "market". And THAT is what impedes true technological advances. Rather, everyone who has a serious interest to this level should come together for the best possible flying vehicle for personal use. MONEY has goosestepped us ALL into misery. Why the hell do you think "THEY" have been keeping US all on the ground for sooooooo long? The sooner we do away with the paradigm of money...the sooner our species will flourish along with the planet as a whole. 🌱🌎

    I love this. I'm very excited to an actual hover car be made for society. As a business man that lives near the city and is looking to eventually move to the city, a hover car will definitely come in handy, especially if it can seat 5 people. I'm also looking forward to watching sports leagues that will be racing these vehicles. That is so cool. This is another good way to introduce how cool this kind of car will be. I look forward to building this car in the future, and being able to see different design concepts and suv versions of this vehicle.
