Just recently found your channel because I plan on riding trails in your area at some point. Wanted to say it was a nice to see you didn’t use someone’s misfortune as click bate for your video. That’s a very rare thing anymore and it’s one reason I subscribed to you channel.

I appreciate you calling that out. I’m definitely not trying to be the mountain biker’s version of the show “COPS.” Great show, just not my place to stick a camera in someone’s face during one of their bad days. Thanks for watching!

Rob, I use the same loop to race myself too! This was a great video, I found it very entertaining! Congrats on the PR! Now you gotta beat that PR…. Yea man, that bike also looks like an elm creek slayer, narrow bars, hard tail.

i hope that guy recovers and rides again! I crashed hard at Leb a few days ago - dented my helmet to the point where it needs to be replaced. Be careful out there!

Things can happen quickly out there. Hope you’re doing well. Hoping that guy made a full recovery too, he was dinged up for sure.

Dumb question I'm sure but whatever.. at a place like elm creek is the flow of traffic regulated in terms of which direction you ride the trail? So there aren't people going downhill towards people that are climbing? Or do you just have to watch out for people going opposite to you?
Seems like at some places the trails are directional but I'm wondering if that's true most places or just pretty hardcore and dedicated mtb trails/bike park

All trail systems are different, but almost all metro trails (including Elm Creek) are one way traffic. Cuyuna is almost all one way. A lot of trails in Duluth are two way, so you have to stay alert in that regard. Good news is that trails are generally marked well, and there are apps like Trailforks or MTB Project that help.

I always wonder if some of those PR's are opposite glitches of what happened to you 🤔

Ha! That’s a great thought Kirk, it is amazing how fast some people go so that would at least make them seem more human 😆
