    Just a thought on those bottles (such as the straight side Cokes) that have the nice script near the base but are broken too far down to be a drinking glass: what about making paper weights? Not sure the cost of cutting but cut a couple inches from the bottom, place a photo of the bottling plant inside facing up, then fill with apoxy to the top. Not sure if cost would outweigh profit but something that came to mind.

    OK....I have watched many bottle diggin' channels and yours seems to be the best! Now, I have a question for you that you may be able to answer for me concerning a small glass jar I found yesterday while metal detecting. I am no bottle/jar expert, see? This jar I found is about 3" tall and 1 1/2 " at the mouth. Now this jar, clear glass, has something like a 'pouch' ( the best way I can describe it) on the inside wall. I have never seen one like it. I'm pretty sure it is not a defect. On the bottom all it has is a patent number but no date. Have you any ideas?

    • @adventurearchaeology
      @adventurearchaeology  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cant say that I have ever seen one. Sometimes you can google the patent number on the bottom and it will give you info on the company!

I just got bit in my rubber boot by a huge timber rattlesnake here in western NC! No injury, thank God. But it's their mating season here, probably a little later for you Bama Boys. I was just in the grass on the side of the creek too high to see the ground at the bottom... never saw him until he was hanging off my boot. Stay safe and keep them eyes open! I could see a lot of them being used to glue onto a glass in a frame or old window as decorative art.
