Good review son. 39yrs gaming, love me turnbase strat. First 4x i really got into was underated "Warlords," on Commodore Amiga. Which wasnt improved till Might & Magic 3 which is a gaming classic. Age of Wonders is great, been smashing lotta hours. Adding your quality review to gaming playlist on my channel. 👌
I started playing this game again on PC Steam and it is very good. I played a lot of Age of Wonders 3 and I never imagine a sci fi twist would work. Got all DLCs and expansions. Great review man :)

Is the text In this game small? Only playing on a 21" tv screen (ps4). I had to quit Solaris, the font was too small (even on the largest setting)

I found both the strategy map, and tactical arenas getting old real quick.
The best way I can explain the game is Civ Lite, XCOM Lite, meaning it has features from both games, but not as deep, or satisfying as them.
If you're in the mood for 4x strategy, or Tactical turn based go for something else. If you want a small slice of both, then this is the game for you. Good place to start for first timers of either genre.
