    Me watching another design video instead of studying for the most difficult non-design exam in my life
    Feels great

    nothing frustrate me more than a website which doesn't show me their pricing page/section and just asks to get started by giving them my email, instead I would like options to explore a website first you know before I decide to give them my personal details

      I was thinking the same in the reduce friction part ☻

    Scarcity/urgency is good to include when it's legit. There's so many websites out there where I see a discount that's about to end in 2 hours. I come back 2 days later and that same discount is still going and is now set to end in "3 hours". And suddenly I lose all trust for that company and take my business elsewhere.

    When I always design sites, I am naturally inclined to design a site with a perfect flow, I didnt how to name this since it always happens instinctively. Its like taking a storytelling approach to tell about a site that's how usually say it. Thanks for the video

    nice advice for on-site, and helping how the target audience find a website is also important for client work.

    Making a video about creating a high and stable retention rate would be very interesting to see

    Great video Ran! Just for the number of links on a page at 1:31, the study is based on lead gen landing pages. It would be interesting to have the same data for ecom.

      Yes, this section confused me as i struggled to see how an ecom site could do this. All other sources say to put products on landing page. Would collection pages rather than products have a significant impact? Id love to see some data on this and find out more too 👍

    Please more. Never thought about these beside deign speed

  • @akane8615
    @akane8615 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My biggest struggle is dealing with the website speed, it's quite complicated. I feel like no matter what you do, it's impossible to have a really fast website without sacrificing design elements that make the website cohesive.
    It's quite limiting too to what we can do as a designer.

    How would you create focus and conversions on a webbsite for a bigger brand with lots of products in different categories like for a clothing brand for example? I know there are som pretty bad once out there where there's a cluttered banner and navbar on the top of the site in stark colors and contrast and a huge hero-image spaning over the entire page underneath with to many elements calling for attention (prices, colors, text). Some are even painful too the eye.

    Funny, I always disliked Netflix's website for only showing a sign-up button. I can't find any other information about what shows are present in their library etc.

      I’m the same. But when it comes to designing websites, it’s a mistake to make decisions based on your own feelings. Instead you should rely on what’s proven to work, and even more so the data of your own website by utilizing split tests.

    Urgency always makes me not buy the product. I hate that tactic too much and know it's always BS.

    Hey Ran, the "call to action" is much different between the two sites you mentioned. Firstly, it was an e-commerce website where users had to click links to search across the pages. And the second is a company where you could put much fewer links. Comparing apples with apples is the best way to do it. Anyhow, thanks for another great video that teaches a lot. @FluxAcademy

      @gulnoorthoughtso3082 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of ecommerce websites that have very few links as well. For example look at any product page on apple, there'll only be a "learn more" or "buy now" button other than the navigation
