Incredibly talented singer and exquisitely beautiful woman. I think she was the best female singer of the 1970's. Thank you, The Midnight Special for capturing this moment in time.
Donna Summer, Last Dance 1978. Last Dance, the special gift by Paul Jabara to his friend, DonnaSummer; "The Beautiful Miss Universe Of The Music". And I call her too, "The One Thousand Voices Girl"; due to her "chameleonic", sensual, unique, rich and wonderful voice. She is my favorite artist, from 1976. None artist do it like the super talented Donna Summer. Her musical catalog, it is like treasure full of different wonderful yewels; unique songs. Blessings to ❤ everybody! I was a 16 year old white kid in Dallas...and I was in love with Donna...I remember watching this show...my heart was in pain knowing I would never be with her...
She couldn't have been more perfect here! What a voice she had! I love that song so much! When I went to school dances, this was always the last song of the night, and everyone would rush to the dance floor! Clubs did that, too! Thank you for preserving such great music performances!😄💜🎉
what man can deny falling in love with that voice, that face, those dance moves, everything about her. unique live take, thank you for uploading this beautiful high quality video and audio! keep doing this holy work, and long live disco music!
Donna was a total gem, she made dancing at the disco fun in the late 70’s for me. What a beautiful~elegant lady with the voice of an angel, sounds so good here! 🎶💃♥️
I have always loved and adored this amazingly talented, beautiful angel that graced this planet. To first set eyes and ears upon such beauty in her voice and physical appearance, is instant falling in love. RIP
Donna Summer an excellent performance on the Midnight Special. She sounded exceptional. She has a beautiful voice. The Midnight Special, nailed it by putting her on there. I remember seeing this show.
been trying to find out myself - unbelievable speed and creativity - his arrangement here is a far cry from what we hear on the recorded hit = it's not Mike Pocoro or Bob Glaub, could it be Les Hurdle?
I hated the disco era, I'm a white boy who couldn't dance! Hell, I had 2 "DISCO SUCKS" t-shirts! But I fell for this girl hard! RIP Donna, you are missed by many!
I can’t remember if any of Donna’s songs were on the “Saturday Night Fever” (SNF) soundtrack. I should though since I’ve watched SNF almost as many times as Gene Siskel did. But she has a few disco songs that would be perfect for that album. (As a side note I used to watch “At the Movies” (ATM) all the time. I was laughing when Roger Ebert was making fun of Siskel because Gene bought the actual white leisure suit John Travolta wore in SNF.)
halfway through the video i noticed his extra hand gestures when he lets go of the guitar for a bit. the guitarist is also doubling as the orchestra conductor, and that's why he's the only person in the whole group that is facing backwards the entire time
Aint no lip-syncing back during these golden moments of my youth!!! The MIDNIGHT SPECIAL every FRIDAY NIGHT was always MUST SEE TV!!!
She was one awesome lady. RIP to the queen of Disco.
What an arrangement and performance… and as always Donna delivers flawlessly and seemingly effortlessly with that special elegance she had.

Donna Summer could clear up anyone's depression with her singing.
Always the Queen 👑❤️🥺 Will never understand the hate some people have for disco. It's fun and happy. In this world, some of us really need that.
That’s why I’m here….
She was one of the most talented singers ever.

Thanks Burt ❤
She's such a great singer and absolutely gorgeous.
W❤W!! What a singer❤️
For those who asked, it might be Roberto Salomone on the bass, the musician who played on the studio recording.
No auto-tune for the Queen
She is perfection!
Another outstanding performance. Thanks for the upload 😁
Love this! ❤
Happy heavenly birthday!!!🎉🕊️🙏🏽

Reyna inmortal
No disrespect to Donna… who’s that playing bass? Absolutely on fire!!!!
🥰😍
Donna Summer was a super talent - sang with style and grace and knew how to move.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Who is the bass player? The bass line is off charts!
been trying to find out myself - unbelievable speed and creativity - his arrangement here is a far cry from what we hear on the recorded hit = it's not Mike Pocoro or Bob Glaub, could it be Les Hurdle?
Sultry, seductive, soulful
She took a lot of creative detours on this from the studio version. It wasn't boring.
I hated the disco era, I'm a white boy who couldn't dance! Hell, I had 2 "DISCO SUCKS" t-shirts! But I fell for this girl hard!
RIP Donna, you are missed by many!
I understand what your saying.

He is a great singer.
Your post tells me what it must be like not having any talent or gifts.
Such a fox
Someone forgot to turn the guitarist around.
halfway through the video i noticed his extra hand gestures when he lets go of the guitar for a bit. the guitarist is also doubling as the orchestra conductor, and that's why he's the only person in the whole group that is facing backwards the entire time
Taylor who?
She might be lip syncing
Nope 👎
THE most enduring classic disco anthem to ever be created! A 2am staple at the gay bars for 40 years.
😁😁😉
👏👏👏 Yes! I went with my friends many times! 😊
