I wouldn't say always , but yes in todays web world and with the younger generations rewriting history. She is definitely an unknown vocalist (or under-appreciated by the younger generations).

the funny thing is, i remeber this as a kid. me and my mom watched this very episode that saturday night i remeber cuz i was sick, 10yrs old and she was suppose to go out with her friends but she stayed home with me and we watched this..... 1978, wow and I know thats not my man wolfman jack, let me get off here before i start cryin for real......miss you mom she always put us kids first no matter what. man such good times back then..........such good times. from saturday night fever being at the box office for almost 3 months strait......then came the Exorcist..then came star wars i was there for it all.

Saw her 3 times in the late 70's and early 80"s always a great show. Her Sunset People people album and live performance had so many set changes and genre changes . Her wardrobes were elegant and also very spot on for what songs she was singing at that particular time in her show. A true talent

Believe it or not but this iconic record FLOPPED in the UK, stalling outside the UK top 40. BBC Radio 1 did not include it on their playlist!
