    This restorative routine offers gently stretches to help relieve lower back pain as well as upper back and neck tension and can be done anytime of the day to help you find some relief.
    This class is not intended for back injuries and should only be used for general back pain relief.

    Can't believe I'm choosing to begin my Saturday with yoga of all things, but when you find a yogi as gentle and soothing as Bird, you'll want to hit the mat

    Thank you so much for this video. I was having a lot of hip and upper back pain the last few days, here before bed I was doing the supine twist part of this and just fully started sobbing crying. And I could feel the muscle release in my groin/hip area. I carry a lot of grief over a recent death in my life and doing yoga at night helps release the grief in my body, but specifically your videos. They're amazing truly you are such a blessing.

    I’m newer to yoga and tried a few others. I love how long you hold your stretches! It’s like I finally settle in and you give us a minute to breathe through. Your instructions are perfect and not distracting at all. I’ve really enjoyed your videos! Thank you!

    Thanks. I want to show my partner very gentle yoga for his bad back. He's never tried yoga before and this is so gentle and slow, I think he'll like it. It's not too long either.

    Hi Bird! I'm doing this challenge for 19 days, maybe except 3 i did them in the morning, and i feel amazing, my posture is getting better and my joints hurt less, and even my presence is getting better in my prayers. So thank you so much for your work!!

    Wow this was fantastic. My whole back feels just so much more at ease and good. I can't believe what few poses make such differences, especially if you stay longer than usual in them.
    I never before had the sense of 'this is something I can see myself doing every night if those are the results'
    It was a perfect set for me, thank you so much

    I love this practice. It has helped my back so much. Yoga has been a godsend for me but I haven't practiced on my mat for a while and finding a good practice that I can do seated or in bed is invaluable.     Could you help me figure out why when I do the supine twist my hand on the arm that stays out behind my head loses circulation?

      That happens to me sometimes too. My theory is that its just stretching too much or too long/cutting blood flow if the arm is bent in a cactus shape. Also if its above the heart this could affect the blood flow too. Positioning could be the thing as well. When it happens I recommend not putting your arm like that, just lay it beside you or rest ig on your belly. Whatever feels comfortable.

      Absolutely! It helps to open both the front and back body. The “cat” segment is especially great for decompressing the lower back.

      Restorative yoga in general is where we do absolutely nothing. It’s the slowest kind of yoga in that sense so I’d recommend more of a hatha flow if you’re looking for more movement with a stretch.
