Thank you Walt! From what I know about the T-Bird tops compared to the VW Cabriolet...the Cabriolet is a walk in the park...the T-Bird isn't as easy. 🥺
Great job. You got more guts than me. I would never have tried to make my own top. I'm going to be doing a 72 beetle next and it's a convertible so I will be going through this soon.
cool video! hope to see more of your 65 tbird hardtop videos! I have a 66 bird with the factory cruise control, can you explain how the speedometer system works with cruise? I believe it has two separate cables? I don't know how to open it up and re lube, bc I don't think the speedometer works at all. Thank you Alvin! 👨🔧👨🔧🧑🔧 🔧
I did a video on the 1965 Thunderbird cruise control system, take a look at that video, however, Ford changed the cruise setup for the 66 model, so yours will be different. The speedo cable and speedometer head will be the same in principle.
Well done. I have and still do own a convertable. I hope I never have to replace the top. You certainly are a man of many talents....Walt

You'll do just fine on the beetle, and it makes a world of difference in the look of the car with a new top.
