In this video, I’ll be answering some of the really great dividend investing questions that I’ve been getting from you guys lately like:
If I could own only 3 dividend stocks, which would I pick?
Do I think it is a good idea for a new investor to own risky high-yield dividend stocks?
How many dividend stocks should you own?

1. O 2. XOM 3. MCD
Those are all great
Visa, Microsoft, and Abbvie. People are going to spend money, use computers, and get sick. I would feel fairly comfortable with these 3 for the next 10 years.
Those are great choices. Nice!
From my portfolio, I'd pick: MCD, SBUX, and COST. All 3 will be doing well 10 years from now.
I agree, solid picks
Just buy SCHD and call it a day!
ETFs are not stocks proper.
I can't living in Europe 😢
@@N8M8DIVIDEND Interactive Brokers allows investors either individually or as an LLC to purchase foreign stock. The only stocks that would be difficult to purchase are going to be assets such as Russian bonds. I am also not a bot or paid shill!
469.4 shares 🎉
@@N8M8DIVIDENDi live in England and buy SCHD in ETORO
I would choose Google, microsoft, and visa
Nice ones!
@rynewilliams if I had to take one of the tech stocks away, I think my choices would then be costco, microsoft, and Visa. I absolutely love the tech and financial sector, hence my first choice, but all solid plays, in my opinion.
I had exactly the same picks lol
Indeed, it's critical to balance investing with living your life...you only get one!
My three for the next ten years would be - 1. Visa (V) | 2. Agree Realty (ADC) | 3. Home Depot (HD)
Love those picks man!
PG , MSFT and WM ✅
Can’t go wrong with those
I have cvx and pg. My 3 will be IBM, Intel and Cisco. All 3 are for long terms and I will never sell but will keep accumulating them when market is not favoring them.
Interesting picks!
Yeaa very interesting 🤔
V, MSFT, and COST for sure top 3 forever stocks.
There you go
Coke, Pepsi, Procter and gamble get paid once a month in dividends
V, MSFT, UNH...the three largest positions I have 💪
Nice, some great dividend growth behemoths 👏
PG, Microsoft, JNJ, and Chevron are my big positions, already. But I would consider Visa as well -- picked up 15 shares today! ❤
Wow nice buy with V, good time to get it too
My top three would be V, MSFT and MCD....honorable mention to WM.
All great choices my friend! I’d feel totally comfortable with those over the next decade as well
If the goal is to live off dividends without selling shares, be prepared to invest a huge amount of your money. For total return I see those choices as great. Call me crazy but I don't want to ever have to sell to live.
Same
@@VictorSanchezVS13 agreed. It all depends on timeline. I recently did a Rule of 72 analysis on my channel comparing a compounder like V to a yield play like VZ. The conclusion is that if you are young, V can be a dividend monster but it takes a long time, and if you're older, you don't have time for compounding so stuff like VZ, MAIN, MO, etc makes more sense.
Visa, Enbridge, Home Depot
Nice ones
My top 3 would be BLK, JPM and V. Actually I already own them but not as the biggest possitions in my Portofolio. Greetings from Germany . I like your content 👍
Thank you! Those 3 are solid 👌
META, MA, and LOW.
Nice picks!
Hi to all, my 1.NVIDIA 2. Visa 3. Exxon Mobile (still not have). But will buy on Dip)
Nice!
my three picks would be PG, AVGO, LMT
Nice ones 👍
Hard to choose...
Realty Income most be there, safe, long time on the market and great dividend yield...
I would probably pick 1.Rollins 2.Microsoft 3.PepsiCo. Love your videos!
Thank you! If I owned ROL, it would definitely be on this list. I love that company
ima say visa, Exxon(or any big oil) and Costco.
BUT, I’m doing 100% SCHD. We are offloading a rental in the spring of 2025 (pending no collapse) and will be putting about $200,000 into SCHD. It’ll all be half roth, the $100,000 from selling rental will be SCHD and div and I’ll be used to fund Roth’s, whatever div payment doesn’t cover (14,000) we will take from that port to fund maxing Roth accounts. My works 401k is all pre tax and 100% VINIX. ~ 12,000/yr with no contribution by me. I’m actually finally catching my breath and feeling very secure about future.
That's awesome, sounds like you're doing really well with all your investments!
KR, HD or LOW, PG or even KVUE which was broken off from J&J would be ones I would pick. All of which are able to handle a recession.
Yea I think those would all be safe holds
Visa, google, Microsoft. These 3 stock will only go up in the next 10years and they have great dividend growth of 10% to 15% every year
Nice picks!
@@rynewilliams Did you pick up any cheap visa? I got extra when it was at $253
@@AndrewsInvestmentJourney I bought some in the low $260’s but I’m hoping to still be able to buy some next week in the $250’s
Hello and thanks for your content.
Thanks for tuning in!
TXN (chips are + & + like oil some decades ago), UNH and IBE (Iberdrola, from Spain; it is an eletric utility very well positioned on renewables, good diversivication in markets & good dividend yield & growth)
Interesting ones! I hadn’t heard of IBE, but thanks for sharing it with me
They have a good exposure in the US. They have a majority of share of Avangrid, and they plan to buy it. They have a yield of around 4,6%. This year, they have increased dividend by 11,4%.
SCHD, JEPQ, and NVIDIA
Just plowed into WM so that is one, really like V and JNJ makes it three! Awesome video as always.
Nice pickup Jeff, thanks!
V, COST, and MSFT
Solid!
Visa, Amex, JnJ
Nice ones!
What are your thoughts on JEPI and JEPQ
I think they’re probably two of the better covered call ETFs, but putting money in them is something I’m not personally interested in doing.
To piggy back off this video , I was wondering what the best etf's for a Roth IRA would be? I know you have to look at things a little differently when dealing with a roth vs a traditional 401k. I have SCHD , JEPQ, and VOO. Was wondering what your take would be on it, if I'm on the right path or change for more growth
I don't know if there are best ETFs for Roth IRAs...not paying taxes can benefit you no matter which type of stock/ETF you invest in and how they're taxed
Costco, WM and Microsoft
Can’t go wrong with those
My 3 would be Nvidia, Apple and maybe Microsoft.
Nice ones
Apple and Microsoft are reasonable picks. Nvidia on the other hand at a 70 p/e ratio already has the next several decades of earnings priced in. Hard to see a company that size growing much even if all their cards fall into place.
Zoetis, Microsoft, Blackrock/SPGI
Oooh great choices
Top 3 is a tough question. If I could only buy 3 and keep them forever they would be UNH, PH, MSFT (I think).
You could do worse than those three, nice picks!
Just opened a position in Visa at about $253 a share. Looks like the rotation is happening finally.
Great move! Looks like it climbed back up a bit today...hoping it drops again next week
MSFT, KO, JNJ
Nice ones. Definitely safe holds 👏
My top 3, V, MSFT, AVGO
Those would be solid holds for the next 10 years
1. EPD
2. ADC
3. BMY
Nice picks…you’d be bringing in some nice cash flow with those 👌
Id probably go Microsoft, Visa and PG so im not solely in the tech space
That would be a really solid 3. Great picks 👏
My top 3 are Chevron, P&G and Komatsu
Oooh what is Komatsu, I’ve never heard of that??
It’s the Japanese equivalent of Caterpillar,
Oh interesting!
Question for future video. Does stock price, whether ETF or individual stock, matter when choosing what to invest in? Is it better to buy more shares with lower price stock (say below $50/share) vs. a stock that is $200+ per share?
This is a great question! I'll try to put this one in the next Q&A video. In short, it doesn't really matter. The only instance in which share price might matter is if you plan on trading options. With options, you're dealing with 100 shares at a time, so a lower share price will help you get to 100 shares faster. Outside of that, it doesn't really make a difference, especially because fractional shares are so commonplace now
TSLA, PLTR, NKE. (BXP, MMM, IEP)
Main three HODLs (Wild Cards)
Interesting ones!
@@rynewilliamsikr!
I threw in the wild cards because the first ones weren’t dividend or high dividend
Those are 6 or my top stocks either way though, Forever Holds
Nice!
@@rynewilliams studying economics and investments is my main hobby, outside taking care of my wife, three pups, and helping my friend with his collectibles shop
So I spend most my time listening to TH-cam and being on investment apps n news sites; while being as active as I can, knocking things out on my list, each hour-
Starting to put together my best lessons learned and how they could help people raised in my time like me, and also relate to people todays perspective on life too
Hopefully I can help more people directly, and write a book for a broader, less direct group too
My three are TXN, MCD, and PCAR.
Nice…I’m not familiar with PCAR, but I like those other two!
MSFT
MC
SPGI
Solid picks Paul!
V, VICI, MSFT
Love those!
Mine would be MSFT, AVGO and V
Nice picks!
NN group is a must I think
Nice one!
ET , PBR.A and BTI.
Interesting ones!
1.KO, 2.O, 3.BAC
Can't go wrong with those
Cvx, Lmt, Pg
Great picks Tony!
@@rynewilliams I’ve been fine tuning higher 2.42%+ dividend yields with 20+ years of growth stock investments. Thank you!
Hey Ryne, great video as usual.
My dad has been a real estate developer for awhile and is looking to sell all his properties and retire. All he knows is Real Estate. How would you invest $40m to set up the family for generations. Obviously NFA just thought it might be a cool thought experiment. 50/50 growth and dividends? 70/30? Thanks
Thank you! Man that’s a lot of money…I honestly think you could be set up for generations no matter how you split it. Even if all of that was just in invested in the S&P 500, you’d still be generating hundreds of thousands of dollars from dividends every year.
JNJ, MCD, and maybe... PBR? as an oil stock (brazilian companies pay very high yields to avoid taxation), but it's more like a bet rather than a solid investment
Solid picks!
AXP, COST, MSFT
Solid picks!
individuals only definitely O, PG and V
Nice ones!
Mine - VZ,COKE,ITW
I think those’ll be pretty safe holds…COKE is an interesting pick for sure!
sorry meant Coca cola
Sbux, AMZN, Vici
Nice picks!
@@rynewilliams enjoy your honeymoon
Pretty good video like all ways 👍 just u say in last make a video how to analyse the stock how they bingner pik it up
Thank you!
XOM, V, MSFT
Nice, those would all be solid holds
Off topic but what do you think of LULU stock? Thanks !!!!
I don't really think much about it to be honest. It doesn't pay a dividend so it's not one I would be interested in
For me it’s easy I’d go with coca cola apple and realty income
Solid ones!
Msft, Ma, Amzn (i know no dividend but soon they will pay)
All solid companies my friend!
Msft, Oke, V
Nice ones!
AMZN, WM and MCD.
Nice ones!
You're a Nostradamus, sir. You likely made this video a day or two ago, and just today AGNC was downgraded by Maxim Group after AGNC reported on July 22nd.
Haha total coincidence my friend!
Green does you well
Haha thanks man 😂
MSFT, COST and O 🤑
Can’t go wrong with those 👏
If Iwas ganna hold 3 individual stocks I would chose WSO, PG and MSFT
Great picks man!
I have a strange question, would be maybe cool if you made it a video, TICKR MAIN shows the same Decl date for like 3 to 4 months at a time. Does this mean, that even if you buy more shares, the paying dividend won't change till the next cycle? I know a lot of people invest in MAIN.
@@user-qr4ey3xv4j no because the ex-dividend dates and the payout dates are all different, even though they have the same declaration date
COST, V, PG
Nice ones!
No etfs rule i would buy a low cost mutual fund
What would your picks be if you could only buy individual companies?
Haha 😄
Msft visa mcd
Nice ones...MCD is a great buy right now
Enbridge British tobacco bank of Nova Scotia
Solid picks
Buying Visa today??? 💲
Next week I’ll definitely add more to it. I already spent my weekly contribution buying SBUX haha
@@rynewilliamsNice. I'm buying for me and my 6yo son.
Nice move! Very cool that you’re investing for your son…that’s going to be a really great thing for him
Yieldmax Msty, nvdy and Cony.

Amazon mo vici
Nice picks!
Is there anything more American than using your Visa card at Costco? And Lockheed Martin protects my right to do so!
Just in case your viewers, don’t get my sense of humor…, Visa, Costco, Martin. Those are my three. Especially if you’re under the age of 50. Over the age of 50?, Bank of America, Chevron., and MO
Haha there you go! All solid picks
MSFT
PG
XOM/CVX
Solid picks
Visa, Google, Tesla
Nice ones!
I would pick WMT, CAT and Vici
Can’t go wrong with any of those, nice picks!
@@rynewilliams Thanks
UNP O JNJ
Great ones Dan!
Ko, mo, f
Nice ones
SBUX, NKE and JNJ.
Great choices Glenn 👌
V for me doesnt make Sense with such a small dividend..
That's understandable, their yield is very low haha
Microsoft, Home Depot and McDonald’s
Nice ones...MCD is looking good right now
Would you say Crypto *COULD* pose a threat to a business like Visa's?
If some sort of crypto were to become regularly used in transactions, I have 0 doubts that companies like V and MA will somehow be involved in facilitating those transactions.
NIKE, UPS, STARBUCKS
Microsoft pepsi xom
Solid choices 👏
Mine would be MSFT, V and AVGO
