I just had to replace this touch pad last week. I never worked on this type of ice machine before but I figured it out. The whole time I thought I was going to break some plastic and then it would never go back together. I was gentile but persistent and didn't damage anything. The orange wires coming off the pad were all completely broken off of the pad. I didn't have any major issues and got it running. Sanitized it too because, why not. It was down for 3 weeks.
Very common problem with this NEO model . I’ve own and sold a few .The key pad is right by in front of the bin so when people pull out the ice .water makes it way to the keypad . I’ve recommended putting a small amount of silicone on around the keypads it self . Unfortunately you have to change out whole front door assembly to fix but if customer needs ice you can hold down the reset button at the control board and the machines will run 500 cycle of ice . This buys them time to get a new part .
You are right! Kinda strange that the touch pad doesn’t come by itself. The test mode button is a solid trick to get some ice. The software version has to be above a certain level to work. I can’t remember exactly what the software version is though.
On a different note . I’ve owned a few of these Neo’s . When I start up the machine , mind you this only happens on the first few cycles . The pre chill starts , water pump turns on and flow down the coil but then I notice that the water will start to frost up in the trough preventing the water from being pumped back up to the coil . What causes this ?
Ah the Slush! This happens pretty often and isn’t unique to the Neo ice machines. There’s a scientific answer to why it happens but I’m not sure exactly how to explain it. It has something to do with the water reaching a certain temperature. If you watch it closely you can actually see the water turn to slush all at once. I’ve never seen it cause any serious problems outside of one or two cycles being a bit longer or the ice looking a little off.
@@IceMachine411 funny there’s no material on this issue anywhere online . I only read on some blogs that warmer air hitting the evaporator coil could lead to this .Then theres the supply water maybe too warm . I just thought that moving water couldn’t freeze 🥶.
Same model machine 2 pic issue. One machine power button lights is slightly blow color no dark and water no coming.second machine pad area power is coming press on button water is not coming

Doing for the first time is rough. Glad you were able to figure it out without damaging something. I definitely did.
Bro you saved me so much time just now lol calling the supply house as we speak to get the part lol
I love hearing this! Glad it helped. That’s the goal.

@@IceMachine411 I think you can also jump the pins 2 and 7 at the board and it will make ice .

I’m seeing a lot of ads for these cheap ice machines from Amazon . Have you worked on Vevor ice machines and if so What’s your thoughts?
I’ve not actually had a chance to work on a Vevor Ice Machine. I’d love to get my hands on one.

Hola.
Tengo esa misma Makina. Y no sé cómo ajustar el tamaño del hielo. . Ayuda. Plis.
I have the same one, water is not freezing.
That’s not good. Check to see if your harvest valve is stuck open. That’s a common problem with these machines.
