    Native Utahn here, totally agree about the Jazz. Unless they make a WCF, this season is a huge disappointment. So many double-digit leads lost to horrible teams after the All-Star game. And not even home court advantage for one round

    • @youraveragekid7173
      @youraveragekid7173 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Totally agree with you as a Utah fan myself, these past few years in the playoffs have been literal torture, especially game 6 last year. That game basically broke us, and if this team doesn't reach the WCF at minimum this year, then the championship aspiration (if any) is gone and this team won't be taken seriously again. I love Donovan and Rudy and all those other guys as well, but there's only so much I can handle before my love for this team turns into apathetic tolerance.

A full season under Finch was really great for this team, something that we were excited for beginning last season when he was appointed. I think that he could potentially be in the COTY talk next year, as I believe that the Wolves can make the jump to a top 4 seed. Bulls in 4 👀🔴. Also, Lonzo and Caruso impact is crazy. Those two together when on the court with Demar and Zach made it to where it was so much easier to win because Lonzo enhanced the offense and defense and Caruso energy and defense affected players to be better on defense which led to more transition plays

    Another thing... Dallas is a well coached team under Kidd. The D grew a lot and the team is not that Luka dependent. They got another shot creator, the team's got more synergy.
    Even with Luka out in the beginning of the series, Mavs in 4...

    I would add that the play in game is the best idea the NBA has had in years. They are so fun.

      I respectfully disagree with it. Atleast in its current form. Minnesota shouldn’t have had to compete for their spot. The fact that the 7th seed has a chance to not make the playoffs is bullshit. It’s my opinion only though. But a 8 seed fighting the 9th seed? Yeah I’m all for it.

    • @lovelymayapop
      @lovelymayapop 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They should have restrictions for play-in games like they did during the bubble. Only have them if the 7th and 10th seed are separated by at most 4 games, which was the case in the east but not in the west
      I like the Pelicans but the west never should've had a play-in tournament

    • @shottakidd2
      @shottakidd2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lovelymayapop i agree with this, there should be a caveat of 3-4 game separation for play-in tournament.

      @@carlsagan2607 I get it from a fairness point of view compared to what we had before, but practically speaking 7th and 8th seeds rarely win a game in the playoffs, almost never win a series, and never ever win a championship. The play in tournament gives them an exciting game to end the season and adds a couple of high stakes games to the NBA season where sometimes there are almost none. From an entertainment perspective I think it's close to perfect.

    • @taustin4948
      @taustin4948 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That to say, it makes sense to have it built in every year regardless of record, but I can see them doing the separation thing in a way that I like. I'm not totally against that. Maybe it only applies to the 7-10, but 8th seeds have to play-in or something like that

    When you look at the entirety of the season Jokic's case for MVP is strengthened by the Nuggets making it to the playoffs as a seeded team. You take Embiid away from the Sixers and it's a similar team to Harden on the Rockets, he could stat pad to hell and get them to a play-in spot. Same with Giannis in Milwaukee; Jrue, K-Midd and Lopez could push that team to be a 6th seed at the worse.
